Hello everyone.. Today it's the end of July.. Hope all is going well with y'all..

It was a quiet go nowhere summer for us.  So had time to do some watercolor paintings and card making.. I hope you're able to be creative.

This image is called Curly hair boy.. I used copics to color him and used copic 0 and wet a scrap of denim to give texture to his overalls. I used Simon says rectangle die and digging through my scraps found some pieces to create the background. I added the Reverse Confetti hip, hip, hooray and the Paper Pretties happy birthday. I added some sequins and Nuvo drops to the center.

I am using the image A girl can't have too many.. I colored the image with copics. I went over the flower and buttons with Spectrum Noir sparkle brush. I added some twine and added Quick Quote distress ink around the edge. Then added to a strip of QQ designer paper. I added an epoxy dot.

Happy Retirement to my brother

Hello.. Today I have a card to share with you.. My little brother.. well this one is 5 yrs. younger than me, is retiring August 1st.. He said after being home all these months with the covid pandemic that he's actually enjoyed the time and getting things done around the house that he never had time for before. He has / had his own contractor business building beautiful homes for a variety of people from  head of hospitals, Microsoft, large business companies and more.. He lives in a beautiful home he built quite a few years ago with an awesome view of Puget Sound. He loves creating, gardening, cooking, canning... there's so much he enjoys and I am so excited that he will now be able to enjoy his time doing for himself and my SIL.. She still plans to work which isn't far from their home as she loves her job and she pretty much is the only person in her department so that is a plus.

I stamped the Taylored Expressions images and sentiment on watercolor paper. I used ShinHan watercolors. That's pretty much it. CAS.

Guest Designer - Word Art Wednesday Wk. 450-451

The theme is ANYTHING GOES

Thank you for the opportunity to be the guest designer for the month of July. It's been fun. 

The scripture was given to me it's from 2 Peter 3:9

My bible version says: The Lord isn't really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. 

For my card I used this Prima designer paper. I added some red/black/gold rayon thread. I used My favorite things die and using Ranger ink went around the edge. I added some foam dots to the back and added over the thread. I added some sequins, pearls, and to the center of some sequins added Nuvo drops.  It's a little busy but I think it works.

This image is Gingerbread Christmas pocket.. I colored the image with copics. I fussy cut the image out and added the red dotted Washi tape and added the Simon Says sentiment with Stampin up ink. I went over some of the image with Wink of Stella. CAS

Hello.. Today we have a new challenge starting over at 

Crafty Sentiments

Our theme is ANYTHING GOES

I am using the image called Isobel Hey you.. I colored the image with copics. I used my cloud stencil and Ranger ink. For her denim pants I used copic 0 and a scrap of denim fabric and laid it over her pants and it gives the look of denim. I love doing this when I can. It just gives some texture to the image. I used Spellbinder die to cut out. I added the Simon Says sentiment and used a SS scallop die to cut the bottom. Added this to the card. I thought the sentiment kinda left it open for someone to write Happy birthday on the inside, or thinking of you, new job.. there are different occasions that the inside could cover..

Happy Birthday - Always Fun Challenge #173

Hello.. Today over at Always Fun Challenge #173 

we have a new challenge

Our theme this week is STENCILS

I have quite a few stencils so it was hard to decide which one to use. I ended up using this one from My favorite things. I first started by using Ranger Oxide ink and three colors to color the card stock. I then placed the stencil over the inked up piece and using the middle color I went over the stencil leaving me with this fun design. I then took some scraps of paper and inked up those colors and dried. I used Spellbinder flowers and leaf die and die cut them out. I used a brad to the center of the flowers. I set them aside and using Paper trey ink and Stampin up thick Vellum I heat embossed the sentiment. I added this to the card. I then placed the flowers and leaves.  I finished with some Pretty Pink Posh  jewels. I also added two small jewels to the tops of the brads, which had a dip in them making it a perfect place to add the jewel.  I am loving the colors and the way this came out. All inspired by a stencil.

Catch the bug Day 7 of our Christmas in July

It's free Friday so this fun image is supplied if you want it. Just use the color theme for this challenge.

Today's card is using the Free Friday image called Elf Christmas bag. I colored the image with copics. I went over parts with Sepctrum Noir sparkle brush. I then stamped the Simon says sentiments. I used Lil inker stitch die and added this to the designer paper and added the twine.

I am using the image called Santa with list . I colored the image with copics. I used My favorite things stitch die. I added to a piece of red card stock then on this pretty designer paper. I heat embossed the sentiment, snowflakes and strip. I added some twine and epoxy heart on the knot. The sentiment which works perfect with the theme is from Simon Says

I am using the image called Cat topper Christmas. I colored the image with copics. I went over the bells and hat balls with glitter. I heat embossed the Tech. Tues and Simon says sentiments. I distressed the edges with Quick Quote chalk ink.  I thought the top sentiment made this card funny.

Todays theme is  Bingo.. 

I am using the image called Christmas Rocking Horse and I used the bottom row.. Pattern paper, twine, die cut.  I used a My favorite things edge die and some awesome gingham designer paper. The twine is my usual natural twine. I tied a bow and added the epoxy dot over the knot. The image is colored with copics. I stamped the Simon Says sentiment.

Hello.. I have a card to share for the new challenge going on over at Crafty Sentiments

Our theme this week is ANYTHING GOES

I used the image called Endless love couple..  I colored the image with copics. I went over parts of her dress with Wink of Stella. I used Simon Says die and thin frame die and cut out the blue glitter paper. I layered the piece that came out of the frame and put the tiny thin die over the image. looking at it you wouldn't know it's the thin frame die it looks like another piece of rectangle glitter paper.. but in person you can see the thin frame. I used Stampin up in and stamped the Tech. Tues. sentiment.

This image is on the inside page.. It's called Snowmen block  The pages fold out side to side and top and bottom but I only used this image on the inside. The rest is going to be for photos. I colored the image with copics.

Today over at Always Fun Challenge #172 

we have a new challenge

Our theme is ANYTHING BUT A CARD... 

 For my anything but a card I did a Quick Quote photo album. All images and papers are from Quick Quote. Isn't this so cute.   Love the colors and the fun embellishments.

This is a side view of the pages. Not all pages are blue the other side of the blue is a colorful pattern paper. This will be fun to fill and remember that life is good.
