Day 7 of Holiday Chaos at Catch the bug

Today we have a photo for our challenge

 

this is the photo and our Free Friday image is perfect for the challenge.

 

This is the free Friday image AKV Girl Christmas  I colored her with copics and used a Simon Says banner and sentiment and Wonky die. I added some pearls and spectrum Noir shimmer pen. This was a very CAS card to make.

Welcome to another free Friday at Bugaboo.. You can pick up the awesome image and you can see the design teams creations over at

 Catch the bug.

This is the fun image called "Scarecrow sitter"  I fussy cut the image out and colored with copics. I took Ranger inks and brick stencil and created the brick wall. I stamped the Tech. Tuesday sentiment on the wall.. a little graffiti on the wall.. LOL I stamped the rising sun which is also by Tech. Tuesday. I used the Martha Stewart bird punch and black paper for the crows. I used a little white chalk ink to give highlights on the birds and a little glaze pen ink for the birds eye.  I added some Spectrum Noir glitter pen to the sun.  I also added my cloud template.

Boo - Bugaboo / Catch the bug Free Friday

I messed up on this Fridays free-b.. which means I messed up on next weeks also.. So this week free-b will not be available till next week.

 

Just in time for Halloween Bugaboo has a image for you.. You can see the design teams inspiration over at Catch the bug.

 

 

This is the cute little "Boo Ghost" image that is free.. So you have a week to pick it up over at Bugaboo.

I used Taylored Expressions postage die and then colored the image with copics. I have a pad of Halloween papers so thought this one went well with the image. Cute little ghost huh... Oh I added some glossy accents to the pumpkin mouth/eyes and stars..

Welcome to Friday and as you know Catch the bug is Free Friday

 

Just in time for summer fun we have Guy Surf.. you can find the image in the Bugaboo store.

 

 

This is the card I created. I figured with him being a surfer he had to be on the beach. So I created the sand, foamy white cap water and seagull sky.   For his surf board I colored it with copics then masked the sides off and used Stampin Up flower in a few places and filled in the center with white gel pen. The foam edge to the water is also with the white gel pen. I colored the image with copics. The sentiment and seagulls are Simon Says.

that means it's Free Friday

 

 

 

This is the Free Friday image... called Tulip can.. I wanted to keep the card CAS.. So I  embossed the background card stock with large dot folder.  I then colored the image with copics and added some white gel dots. I added it to the embossed card stock and cut the edge off. I embossed using white powder the sentiment from Tech. Tuesday. I used My Favorite Things banner die. I used foam tape on the back. I like the CAS look.

It's Friday so it's Free Friday at Catch the bug  

I hope you get a chance to pick up this fun image.

 

 

This is the Free image.. Golf Guy...  I grabbed a piece of scrap card stock from my stash and an old piece of a die from Paper Trey Ink.. the circle die on the side. Then I found this flower that I did not use from awhile back from Stampin up I added some Martha Stewart fern punch pieces.. I colored the image with copics and added my cloud template.. The sentiment is from Simon Says. When it was all put together I added a drop of Nuvo to the center of the flower.  I think it's a fun card.

 time to get that Free image.. If you don't already have it ..now is the time.

 

 

This is the Free Friday image.. Bear heart strings..  I colored the image with copics and went over the bee body /wings with Spectrum Noir glitter pen. I embossed the Kraft paper with the honey comb folder I went over it with Ranger. I  was trying to figure a sentiment and found this Mama Elephant sentiment and it fit so perfectly ... I used Simon Says dies for the top and bottom scallop.

If you love Gus.. you're going to love this one..

 

 

Gus the fish whisper..  LOL.. Gus is one of my favorites along with Stella..  I colored him with copics. I was then thinking of a sentiment to use.. I wanted it to be different so going through my mounds of stamps I saw the Taylored Expressions stamp set that had fish and sentiment.. I did not use all of the sentiment but thought the Oh Carp! I forgot your birthday was perfect.. I then stamped one of the fish in the TE set and fussy cut it out and colored it. I then added it with a foam dot. I then created my background using my cloud template.  I added some Spectrum Noir glitter pen.

Well this card was so much fun to make.. The image is Girl Turtle  I was watching and playing along with The Daily Marker last month and Kathy was showing to use copics and then colored pencils.. So I have been trying to use this technique. more and more. That is what I did with the turtle.. I love the look it gives. I am learning more as I keep doing this technique and liking the results. What do you think?  When I was done coloring I used white gel pen on her flower and bow. I used a Dylusions stencil for the background and Ranger pink ink. The sentiment is heat embossed with white and it's from Taylored Expressions. Cute and funny huh??  I added My Minds Eye twine to the top sentiment. I used an embossing folder for the green background and the turtle was cut out with Spellbinder die.

Are you ready for another Free Friday from the Bugaboo Store?? You can see inspiration at Catch the bug the design teams cards using this fun image.. It's a favorite of mine.. Boy Bear..

So for this card I wanted to have a colorful background.. So dug through my OLD gelli plate lost but found papers.. I found this awesome colorful paper.. I backed it with some brown card stock and added to Kraft card base. I chose a Mama Elephant sentiment and embossed it in white. I added some twine next to the sentiment. I used a Spellbinder die and cut out the bear and colored Boy Bear with copics. I didn't like the plain background around the bear so I colored it in light blue (also in the gelli plate paper) and then took Tim Holtz stickle stencil and Ranger ink green (picks up the colors in the background gelli paper).  I liked the look. I added the image using foam dots to the Gelli paper. I added some clear Nuvo drops around the card. I like how the clear drops pick up the color behind the drops..

OK Where Did March GO????? Not that I want it back.. but....

 

It's Friday and so it's time for Free Friday.. Catch the bug..

 

 

This is the cute Free Friday Image... Button Bear..    You can find the image in the Bugaboo Store.

 

I used a piece of paper I got from Monika / Creative with Monika   she sent me a few papers from Indonesia (she lives in Germany but is Indonesian) I knew when I saw this image I had to use it because of the great designs it had and darker colors. I used Your next stamp tag dies and colored this image with copics. I couldn't find a sentiment I liked so I used some sticker letters and spelled out "Cute as a button".. The bear is holding a button.. LOL.  I added some buttons to the card.. Added some white gel pen dots and it's done.. Check out what the Design Team did with this cutie...

It's Friday so with Catch the bug it's FREE FRIDAY  

 

 

This is the cute Free Friday image called Izzy Balloon   you can find the Free Friday at the Bugaboo Store..

I used the stencil that came in the Simon Says Monthly kit and the Nuvo paste and made the background. It's suppose to be an egg.. but I thought it would work for a simple background. Those Nuvo paste colors are stunning. The green is ink sponged in the leaf area.. I die cut the image with Simon Says stitch circle die. I colored her with Copics and used glossy accents on the balloon. The sentiment is from Your next stamp.  This is a very spring feeling card. Check out what the design team did..

This is the Free Image.. It's one of my favorites.. I have used it before. It's a great spring / fall image and there are so many color combos.. I am not a pink person but I saw this Postage Frame that Monika sent me.. (thank you Monika) and so went with it.. I used washi tape in the corners. and die cut My Favorite Things Hugs. It was a very simple card to make.  Oh I colored it with copics The boot looks yellow but I used Yellow/Green YG21.. I love that color and added some Noir pen for some shimmer.
