Theme:  Alcohol inks and or Summer

I made this card using the dies from Stampin up. I created the background behind the lighthouse with Alcohol inks. I made three cause I just wasn't coming up with what I liked .. Finally said forget it. I am using this one. It's a stormy night at sea..  I find alcohol inks hard to use.. I die cut the added images out of scraps and used some ranger inks to give a little color. I added the sentiment from the set. Living by the pacific ocean in Washington state the water/beach is my happy place. I love hearing the ocean waves and the joy it brings to my heart.

Our theme is 

ANYTHNG GOES + SENTIMENT

Our challenges will be the first Thursday of the month.. would of been this month if the weather and traveling hadn't gotten in the way.. So we are a week behind.. February should be back on track. 

I am using the image called Kawaii you are mermazing. I colored the image with copics. I fussy cut out. I created the background using Yupo paper and alcohol inks. I used My favorite things circle die. I added to a piece of blue card stock. I stamped the Simon says sentiments and using Tech. Tues. banner dies added to the card. I also added the Simon Says shell which I fussy cut out. I finished with some Spectrum Noir sparkle brush and half pearls.

Hello

We have a new challenge over at 

Sparkles Christmas Challenge #131

I am the host so a chose

NON TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS COLORS

I used Alcohol ink and created the background. I then stamped the sentiment (?) and heat embossed. I stamped the Simon Says snowflakes and heat embossed in copper. I added some Nuvo drops to the centers.

For my card I used Yupo paper and Alcohol ink and created this background. I love the colors and didn't want to cover them too much so I used My favorite things happy birthday die and notes. I added them to the card and called it quits.  I love the black against the background. Perfect for that guy..

 We have a new challenge going on over at Cardz 4 Galz #139

Our theme is INSPIRED BY A BEATLES SONG

So can you guess what Beatles song this is????  "Here comes the sun"

I grew up listening to the Beatles. I remember seeing them on Ed Sullivan show and it was so exciting.

Well on to my card. I already had this Alcohol inked background done.. I made a bunch of them quite some time ago. It's such a mess to create that I figure lets make as many as you can and hope you can use them on something in the future.. Well the future his here and it's perfect for this Co-motion large stamp. I used Stazon ink.  I then stamped the Simon Says sentiment and heat embossed in a bright yellow and fussy cut it out. I was going to add some sequins but thought this was enough.

Today's my birthday.. I know I have a few cards posting today so I am letting everybody know.. lol

I am a baby boomer so you can kinda guess my age.. Let's just say I am ripe..  lol

Today we have a new challenge over at Alphabet Challenge Blog 

and I am the host

so I got the lucky letter  "Q"

So let's see cards with a "QUOTE"  

it can be focal point as I did or with an image just as long as it's a quote.

For my card I used a piece of  Alcohol ink backgrounds I did quite awhile ago.. I did quite a few, so I picked one I really liked.  I then used white card stock and Paper Trey Ink overall die and added this over the background. I found a nice piece of cardstock in the teal color and heat embossed the Verses Rubber stamp. I used PTI die to cut this out. I like that it kinda matched the background die. I added with foam dots. I finished with some Pretty Pink Posh jewels.

Hellooooo!!! It's reminder 15th for the challenge going on over at Do-Al (l) Creative #46

Our theme is CREATE YOUR BACKGROUND

For my card I used Alcohol ink and created this background. While it was still tacky I added gold foil and I wish you could see the shimmer the gold gives.. I added a strip of 1/4 inch. tape to the card base and using the same foil I added so there's a gold strip top and bottom. I die cut some My favorite happy birthdays in a light orange and then in a navy blue and stacked them. I added to the card along with some Stampin up leaves and flowers. I finished with some bling. I love creating backgrounds.

Hello.. I have a card to share for our new challenge over at

Always Fun Challenge #177

Our theme this week is IN THE SKY SCENE

This is my card.. OK I am learning a lot about Yupo paper.. I don't know if I like it or not.. Yes it's awesome for alcohol ink technique.. But you can't emboss on it and you can't use Oxide ink on it.. I created some alcohol ink papers few weeks ago and that was messy but fun.. Then I tried to emboss on it but it melted the obvious plastic coating on the paper.. so said ok that's fine. Then for this card I used Oxide black soot to give a night sky.. It really looked pretty. I then went and added some Perfect pearls splatters for stars.. I set it aside and then last night I went to create my card. I picked up the alcohol ink and white card base and went What The Heck!!  there were black smears all over the white card base. I looked at my hand and my fingers were pitch black.. Well a few hundred (it seemed like) diaper wipes later I got the black soot off. Sad cause it sure looked pretty. Also the Perfect pearls was gone too. Oh well. 

Ok for my card I used the alcohol ink background. I stamped the My favorite things images and using Shin Han water colors painted the astronaut . Then using Paul Ruben metallic water colors painted the other images. I heat embossed the sentiment. I used foam dots on all by the moon.

Our theme this week is

I used one piece of Alcohol ink pieces I created. I cut it down just a little short of the A2 size. I stamped and heat embossed the Paper Trey Ink sentiment and used Simon Says gold powder. I added some Sequins and Pretty Pink Posh jewels.  I love the colors of the paper I created.

Our theme is Fall/Halloween + sentiment

I am using the image called Creepy Cute Big Eye Tiffany.. I don't really do Halloween so I went more with the fall colors. I first created the background with Alcohol ink. Set it aside and then colored the image with copics and fussy cut her out. I thought the background needed a moon so I tried three different times with  Ranger inks.. I just wasn't getting the right colors so went with this yellow one. I stamped the Kevin ? moon and then used a My favorite things circle die. I added the moon and Tiffany. Then I stamped Dylusions sentiment and cut them apart and added to the card. I went over the moon and sentiment with Spectrum Noir sparkle brush.
