Sparkes Christmas #182 - Thinking of you

Hello

We have a new challenge over at 

Sparkles Christmas #182

Theme: Snowman (or any snow person/gender)

I had fun creating this card. I had a star die from Simon says and I cut it out and then took a circle and die cut to size to work with the wreath. I wanted the stars behind to stand out so I took a watercolored piece that was left over from a project and smeared Wink of stella over it and die cut and added behind the start piece.. Oh I used Ranger ink and blended the sky then added the star piece to the watercolor piece.

I die cut the Simon says wreath out of a scrap and then used Paper trey ink holly dies and die cut a bunch in white. Then used Ranger to color.. Added them around wreath. I colored the cardinal with Ranger and added it. The snowperson is Gerda Steiner and I colored with copics and fussy cut out and added to the wreath.. 

I didn't want a plain background so I used a Sizzix embossing folder and the birch tree.  I had these sentiments from Stampin up already done so I grabbed one I thought was good as the snowperson looks like it's looking at the bird.. 

I am pleased with how it came out.

Oh I love this card.. This is a fun stamp set and the different colors make it work. This can be a CAS card.. I did a simple happy birthday sentiment, but a sympathy would work or any sentiment.. You could probably change colors to more masculine colors / fall colors for that special guy

Theme: card for a male - any age

For my  card I used the brick embossing folder and then lightly added some ink over it to give more depth. I then used designer paper and stamps and die cute the stamped images.

Theme: V - for volume -

 pufffy dots, foam tape, adding raised up on parts of the card

This is the card I created. The petals are raised with a small puffy dots.  I love this look. These colors make me happy and I am so ready for spring

Cardz 4 Galz #270 - butterfly

We have a new challenge over at

Cardz 4 Galz #270

Theme: Wings (butterflies / birds / fairies

I created this card with scraps.. I had a piece of acetate left on my desk from last month. So since it's hard to lose since it's clear I thought lets use for this card.  I cut strips of designer paper and adhered diagonally and then turned over and cut the over hanging pieces off. I added to a die cut  card piece with a few foam strips behind the strips to hide them. And added this to a card base the same color. I added the foil color butterfly that was die cut out.  I opted to not add a sentiment cause I didn't want to take away from the front beauty.

Cardz 4 Guyz #383 - Smile

We have a new challenge over at

Cardz 4 Guyz #383

Theme: Monochrome colors

I had a friend over and I was making cards for design teams I am on and she was just using my stamps and papers and creating. She made a card with this old red rubber Stampin up set.. And I said oh wow I need to create a card and dug through my scrap box (it's big) and found these scraps. Now to find a card base with that color.. found it. so I stamped and fussy cut the flowers and leaves. I used a zig zag die for the steam and used the Simon Says smile die which I stacked to make it sturdy.. I really like how it came out.
