 I needed to make a baby card and I kinda remembered a baby card similar to this one by someone.. I am so sorry.. All I remember was an animal an balloon and baby card.. So I used a fun designer paper for the background and then had this fun piece of scrap that just happened to mostly fit the Simon Says balloon die.. Thank goodness it was cut down to fit the card. LOL.  I foam mounted the balloon. I then stamped the My Favorite Things Hippo and colored with copics and used die to cut it out. I used Quick Quote chalk ink and just went around the edge of the balloon. I tied a piece of floss around balloon end and the hippos tail. I then die cut the SS congratulations out three times and layered together. I then used the shiny silver-ish card stock and cut congratulations one more time and added that to the top. I then laid it across the balloon it had to be at an angle cause it's so long. I typed out the "on your baby boy" and printed it out and punched it out using Stampin up punch . So this is a fun baby card for a boy..

I went in my container of painted images from Summer of 2017.. I also had thrown in a few pieces of dies that I thought would work on projects but just didn't.. So this is the card I created. I took the Paper Trey Ink doily die which was cut from Quick Quote scraps. I then had some other QQ scraps so I used Simon Says balloon die and cut them out. I added some floss and added them to the card. The Tim Holtz bird is what I painted with my Mission paints from 2017. I tied the floss around the beak. I used My Favorite Things happy birthday die and added this to the card. I added Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the balloons and HB and bird eyes. I think this would work for a masculine birthday card an my brothers birthday is next month.. hum

The Green team is back with another fun challenge at

Craftaholics R Us #8 and our theme is a favorite..

ANYTHING GOES  ... woo hoo  love that theme

 

 

 

So with a new year there are birthdays so I took advantage of the ATG's theme and made a birthday card.

This circle was cut a long time ago and with the My Favorite Things stitch die. I used Art Impressions "they say" sentiment and then a Simon Says "happy birthday" and stamped on the circle. I had a piece of  My Favorite Things die strip so used it for the grounding for the pets. The Crazy dog and cat were colored during the summer of 2017 using Mission paints. I die cut a Lil Inker balloon and used the Spectrum Noir glitter pen over the balloon and then added it to the card and added embroidery floss as the string. I added a white gel pen highlight to the balloon.

The background Kraft I ran through a numbers embossing folder and used Ranger ink and just skimmed the top to bring the numbers out.

This card was so much fun to make. I used Stampin up designer papers and Taylored Expressions stamp set. The tab die is Stampin up and the stitched rectangles die is from My Favorite Things. I colored the apple with copics and went over the apple with glossy accents. I added floss to the button and burlap scrap behind it. I really love how this came out. I was concerned with the large back dots but I think it was needed since the other colors are so light.

This is my take on the sketch and I used the Bugaboo image called Sketchy girl birthday

I really like the colorful circle background and that made me think of birthdays. So found this cute image and colored her with copics. For the bottom circles I used balloons to go with the birthday festive feeling. I used Lil Inker balloon die and tied some embroidery floss to the ends. I distressed the edges with Quick Quote chalk ink.

So are you having a great summer? Doing anything fun.. I tell you being retired is so awesome. Being able to run to the sound and just spend the day in my craft room. So this is what I created. 

 

This is my card. I took a Simon Says stamp and did the happy birthday all over and then took a plant looking stamp from Simon Says and filled in the gaps. I used Ranger ink. I then stamped the Tim Holtz crazy bird and colored it and the balloons with Zig markers. I took some Ken Oliver color burst and used it on water color paper and dried it. I took a Reverse Confetti banner tag die and cut out the awesome colorful tag. I added the bird and balloons along with some floss one tied to the hole in the tag and one to the birds tail.. I did Nuvo clear drops on the eyes and Spectrum Noir on the balloons.

Welcome to another challenge at Inspiration Destination #129   we're shaking up the challenge ANYTHING GOES / opt. SHAKER card

 

 
Well this is not my favorite technique but I wanted to give it a try again and being on the DT I don't think I have the option that you do... LOL ... I have only made one or two shaker cards because I get so confused on what all to do. I think maybe I should of made the foam wall around the balloon one more row higher.. Also the sequins are sticking to the inside of the clear film.. I was afraid to use my embossing static powder tool because I did not want powder to leave a film.. now that it is done I guess I could of used a fabric dryer static sheet.. Duh.. I think maybe that would of worked?? All in all I am happy with it.. I took my Stampin up itty bitty background stamps and some Versa Mark ink and stamped on the pink. I also used an over all large star stamp and Versa Mark and stamped the kraft. I use the balloon die from Simon Says and I used a My Favorite Things beary special image and die and cut off the balloon he was holding and added some floss and added the bow and string into his hand. I colored the image with copics and used the sentiment from MFT and heat embossed it with Stampin up black. I used sequins and micro mini beads in the shaker card and Nuvo drops in teal on the card. I added some white gel pen dots to the bear. Head over the Inspiration Destination site and see what the Design Team created get some ideas if you need help.

Hugs dad - Happy Father's Day

Another Pinterest idea.. with my own twist.. The camera was the Pinterest idea.. I love this look. I wanted to make it different so I die cut the Hugs and Dad from My Favorite Things dies.. I used some adhesive on the embroidery floss to stiffen it and set it aside while I die cut the camera from Taylored Expressions.. I colored it with copics. I added the Happy Fathers day from Simon Says. I added foam dots behind the hugs and dad. Before I added the "G" down I added the camera and made sure it was in the right position..  This card was so much fun to make and I will have to remember this idea for other cards.. see what I can hang off of the letters..  Thank you Pinterest for awesome postings.. I love the ideas people create and away to adapt to our own cards...casing is legal isn't it... LOL

I have never tried The cutting café patterns this is the Card set but I only used one of the patterns.. I don't have a cutting machine.. well I do have a cricut but have not used it but once or twice and don't even know if these are for them and if so how to tie the two together so it would cut out the pattern... so I just measured and used my spellbinder dies to get the frame area.. I do like the card but took me too long to make it.  I have a paper clip at the top just to keep it closed.. see below the partly opened card. 

 

This is the partly opened card. The brown dog is on the inside of the card. The blue side folds in on the right and has the smaller frame. the left side of the card is the yellow and it has the larger frame.

This is my card using the Bugaboo image Girlz-flowers..

I used the row.. Button, Flowers, Pearl

The background is a new stencil I got from My Favorite Things.. I love it. I was cleaning off the sponge applicator I have and replacing new sponges to the applicator and so there is a little brown, green, red in the stencil background. I just sponged on the stencil just for fun not thinking I had enough ink on it to make it work... I lifted the stencil up and this is what I saw.. I loved it so used it for this card. I added some button flowers at the bottom and the pearls are the flower centers in the digi image..
