Season's greetings

Sunday September 8, 2019

I used Marianne die for the tag and using a MS punch I created the green grounding area. I used Simon Says penguin and painted him with Mission paints. I used Paper Pretties sentiment and embossed it in white. I used a plant die (sorry I don't know who it's by) and laid out the tag scene. I then added some ribbon and since it is wired I wound it around a brush handle to give it a twisty look. I then used this soft pink paper and Stampin Up embossing folder and added the tag to it. The embossing folder is like cable sweater so thought it went well with the winter tag image

Saturday June 15,  2019

Welcome back to mid - month reminder..

Our theme is Lift card..
See my card below for the details on what a Lift card is..

This is the front of my card.. I chose some My minds eye dot paper. Then I used Marianne tag die and cut three tags out of black card stock. I went over the tags with Oxide ink. For the front tag I used silver glitter washi tape for the sides. I then used Taylored Expressions butterfly dies and scraps and cut out two. I heat embossed the Simon Says sentiment and added half pearls.

for the lift part of the card on the inside I heat embossed the leaves and butterflies from Simon Says. I then used a white gel pen and added dots. I used Stampin up silver cording and tied a bow.
For the reveal part of the tag I heat embossed the SS sentiment and two set's leaves. You can't see the one on the upper right. Before I adhered the tag down I added some scraps then added the tags.

Kiss kiss, I love you

Thursday November 8, 2018

I wanted to try to create a tag.. I seem to have issues trying to get things to work.. so went simple on this one and love it.. I started by using Marianne tag die using the added top piece that die cuts also. I then stamped the cute Reverse Confetti panda and sentiment. He needed grounding so used washi tape. I added a few Simon says hearts. Finished off with some ribbon and cording.. There was no coloring for this tag. So quite quick and simple to make but oh oh so cute.

Celebrate - Creative with Stamps #16 - Celebrate

Saturday July 15, 2017

Welcome to mid month reminder at

Mid month reminder that we still have Celebrate theme challenge going on.. You have time to enter your creation.

Sticking with the graduation theme for card.. I made another using the male silhouette die from Impression Obsession.. I took some watercolor paper and added some Ken Oliver color burst powders and spritzed till I got the effect I wanted. I dried and using Marianne tag die cut it out. I added a Gold brad to the tag hole.. I then took my Celebrate Stampin up stamp and added it to the side of the tag. I then mounted the male grad to the tag. I dry embossed the blue and went around the edges with Quick Quote ink to distress the edges. I added foam tape to the top and bottom only of the tag and mounted it to the embossed front. I measured out a gift card and rounded the corners and wrote gift card/money so who ever uses this would just remove the example I made and add their own gift card or money.. I thought it was a good idea. Simple and fun.  I cant wait to see what you all make for a celebrate card..
(funny in the brad you can see me taking the photo.. LOL)

Congratualtions grad

Thursday April 27, 2017

I know you have seen so many of my graduation - congratulation cards.. I made another like ones posted before.. This one has a different color tag.. Again Ranger ink smooshing. The background is Ranger inks and water drops. This card you can add money or gift card behind the tag. I love making these. You can find out the school colors and create the cards for the special grad.  The tag is Marianne die, the silhouette is Impression Obsession and a brad in the tag hole.
Very simple to make and fun to create.

this card I posted earlier.. but it shows the cash/gift card idea...  This is what can be done with above card

Congratulations - grad

Sunday April 23, 2017

I wasn't going to post this card because I have been making a lot of graduation cards.. But I thought this is a little different than the others.. Still same with tag and being able to put a gift card or money behind tag.. but I did an embossed background using a Stampin up embossing folder.. I had a request from a friend to make her brother a green/yellow graduation card.. So I hope she likes. I did the water color smooshing Ranger ink water color tag. I used Marianne tag die and a bronze brad.. I embossed the Paper Trey ink congratulations and used Impression Obsession grad silhouette.

1 more graduation card

Thursday April 6, 2017

I made one more graduation card.

This time I used a Stampin up graduation image along the bottom part of the paper then used the Marianne tag die to cut out the tag. I masked off the image top and bottom and used ranger inks and blended then spritzed with water and then colored the image with copics. I added a brad to the tag hole. I then created the background using Ranger inks and spritzed again with water to get the fun water drop look. I cut out the Congrats which is a Simon Says die and cut it out 4 times. I layered them and added them across the tag. Again I put adhesive along the top and bottom of the tag and adhered it to the card base. Again I added the faux gift card so people would know that money or gift card could fit behind the tag.  These tag money/gift holders are so easy to make. Hope you like them.

2 more Graduation cards

Tuesday April 4 2017

Well if you saw my blog yesterday you saw I made two graduation cards. Well last night I made two more.. Keeping with the same style but different images.

I did some smooshing on white paper with Ranger inks. I then used Marianne tag die and cut out two tags. I used a brad in the tag holes. I then used Impression Obsession grad dies, a male and female. I added them to the tag. I then took the Paper Trey Ink congratulations stamp and black embossed it. To make the background I used Ranger inks in two colors and blended them and spritzed with water to give the cool water drops. I again just used adhesive to the top and bottom of the tag and adhered it to the card base. I then put a gift card size sample under the tag so who ever buys it will know that cash or gift card could be put behind the tag.  I really like how this came out. Simple and fun graduation cards.

2 Graduation cards

Monday April 3 - 2017

I was up late playing in my craft room last night and decided to make some Graduation cards. I made two which I am posting now.

I was digging through some papers and found this over spray paper. ... When I spray papers for backgrounds I put a piece of text paper in a box (along with some paper towels) and I remember the last time I sprayed some card stock I had this awesome piece of over spray paper so I cut it down to 6X6.. I loved the look. It's the tag paper. I used Marianne tag die and cut two tags out of the overspray scrap... Isn't it awesome looking??

For the big background I used some Ranger inks and blended then sprayed with water and blotted off to get the water marks. I used a Paper Trey Ink Congratulation and embossed in black.  I then have this cute Tim Holtz crazy bird and stamped it twice. I colored this one with Zig markers. The bottom one is with Prang watercolors. For the hat which is the accessories stamps/dies I just cut out black cardstock.. I took a glitter pen and did the band and tassel and added a drop of Nuvo drops.  Aren't the glasses cute?  I added a brad to the tag hole.  When I adhered this tag to the card base I just used adhesive to the top and bottom leaving the middle free from adhesives. This way you can add a gift card or money to that area. That I why I created a faux gift card which is size of an actual gift card so who ever buys this card will know how to use it. (I sell my cards at our little store in my neighborhood- we only have 250 people who live here.. we are in the country)  I plan to make more this week.. Lets see what today bring in the creative room..
