Happy Farther's Day - Always Fun Challenge #135

Hello.. Today over at Always Fun Challenge #135

we have a new challenge..

Our theme for this is WATERCOLOR

Quite some time back.. probably a year ago I got this fun grape stamp from Tech. Tuesday in the monthly kit. I knew I wanted to try to water color this piece. I know it's way past Father's day .. and since my dad has passed it's not something I really care to make but I think with it being so past father's day it made it easier. I first stamped the set grapes and two separate grapes and using Altenew water colors painted them and then painted the blue around the grapes. I stamped the sentiment from Simon says and added the water color under these pieces. I then put the piece back in my misty and with water mark ink restamped and black heat embossed.  I die cut the Reverse confetti wine glass and with the water color painted it. I added Nuvo glimmer pen to the wine and then covered with glossy accents. Once it was dry I added this to my card.  I do love how it came out and some dad will be happy. I really love the Altenew paints and getting quite a dip into a lot of the colors.. Sure glad the pans in the set are big.

Hello.. Catch the bug is back with a new Saturday Challenge..

The theme is colors..

 

 

Below is the color chart to follow

 

I am using the image Rose vases. I colored the image with copics. I like the fall colors. Muted colors vs. bright summer colors.  They are some of my favorite colors.. I used Lil inker stitch die. I added this to Basic Gray designer papers and using a copic colored the twine. I stamped the Reverse Confetti sentiment. I went over the flowers and parts of the vases with Nuvo glitter brush. I thought this would be a great get well card and love the little print sentiments from the RC sentiments set.

It's Humor Wednesday over at Catch the bug..

Did you know that Sept. 16th is Respect for the aged day??

 

Of course when I was looking for an image

I obviously thought of Gus. 

This is Gus Birthday Old Fart image. I colored the image with copics. I found this DCWV designer paper and used My favorite things die to cut the image out.. It has soft founded corners. I added this to a navy piece of card stock. I went around the image with Ranger ink and then used Stampin up tag die and also Ranger ink. I used Night of navy SU ink and colored the twine and added the bow to the tag. I went over his glasses and bunny slippers with Nuvo glitter brush.

I am using the image Autumn breeze.. I used copics and fall colors for her. I thought she needed darker clouds so used my cloud template and Ranger ink to create a fall sky. I used My favorite things stitch die and mounted this on a piece of Stampin up gray paper. I then mounted that onto a piece of Club scrap paper and stamped the Tech. Tuesday sentiment with SU ink. I used Simon Says leaves and sponged Ranger inks to get that fall look and went over them with Nuvo glitter brush.

I have a fun card to share for the new challenge going on over at Always Fun Challenge #125

Our theme for this week is BACK TO SCHOOL

This is my card using a scrap of Quick Quote yellow designer paper. I used Pretty Pink Posh images and colored with copics and used my cloud template. I used Taylored Expressions polaroid die and added the fun images. I was kinda going on the first day of school photos that so many of us have taken. I added the Reverse Confetti sentiments. I added the books and apples and went over the apples with Nuvo glitter brush.  This reminds me and my kids first day of school..

This is my card using the image called Cute bear cub.. I first used Taylored Expressions postage die and then using my cloud template and Ranger ink created the sky. I used copics to create the ground. I used Stampin up Silhouette foilage stamp set and brown ink. Once I was pleased I colored the image with copics. I went over the balloon with Nuvo glitter brush. I dug through my scraps and used Quick Quote designer paper and pieced the background. I added the image and stamped the My Favorite Things sentiment and heat embossed. I cut this into a banner and added this to the card. (it doesn't look like the t in thday is all there.. but it is. its just a really small horizontal line on the t)

This image is called Winnie Sugar Sparkles - Sharing is caring... I first used Lil Inker die and cut the image out. I then used my cloud and ground template and Ranger ink. Once I was happy with that I colored the image with Copics. I added this to a piece of SU gray card stock and using Twine added this along the left side. I added this to a piece of designer paper. I stamped the Reverse Confetti sentiment and added it to the card. I went over the bow, apple, dress ruffle and shoe flowers with Nova glitter brush.

Oh this was so much fun to create.. Well most of my cards are .. but I love dogs and this little one is just too precious. I used Quick quote scraps for the card base, My favorite things circle die...  used Ranger ink to distress the edges... I stamped the Newton's Nook dog, flowers, heart on watercolor paper. I used Altenew paints to paint everything. I went over the flowers and heart with Nuvo glitter brush. I die cut them out and using foam dots added the images. I stamped the Reverse Confetti sentiment with Stampin up ink. I finished with some cranberry gems.

I have a card to share.

 

This image come with three puppies.. I am using Birthday puppy #3

I colored the image with copics. I used My favorite things stitched die and banner. I found this fun awesome designer paper that went perfect with the coloring. I heat embossed the Reverse confetti sentiment and tied a twine around the end. I added a Stampin up punched heart and Simon Says heart. I went over the hearts, hat and party favor with Nuvo glitter brush.

this is my card using the fun image Paddling pool Peggy... Now how fun is this.. I remember getting in my kids wadding pool just too cool off. They didn't like that but I didn't stay long and I surly didn't put a floating tube in it... I love this fun image. I created the scene and colored the image with copics. I used my cloud template and Ranger ink for the sky. I used Simon Says die to cut the scene out. I stamped the G-Rated sentiment and used Stampin up square stitch die and then I used copics and created a post and added the sentiment to the post. I finished by going around the edge with Ranger ink, adding dots to the float and using Nuvo glitter brush for the pool, water and wine.  I mounted this onto a piece of designer paper.

I did not use sponsors image

 I got a few months back in my monthly kit from Simon Says an awesome flower set and I love painting flowers even though I am still trying to figure how to do them.. I gave it a try and using water color paper and Altenew paints I gave this flower a try.. I went over the flower with Nuvo glitter brush. I used Stampin up stitch square die and distressed the edges with Ranger ink. I then dug through my designer papers and found this Moda scraps paper. The vertical green is not from that set but scraps from my box of scraps (that keeps growing). I distressed the edges of them with Ranger ink. I added the sentiment also from the SS set and stamped with SU ink. I added to the sentiment a gold heart and the acrylic dots to the side and bottom.. following the sketch.

It's day 6 of Christmas in July over at Catch the bug 

It's our last day of Christmas in July and I hope you have a great start on your Christmas cards for this year and you had fun playing along.

 

Color Challenge

Day 7 and final Christmas card … well for now.. It's Free Friday and this is the Reindeer trio image. I used the colors in the challenge in the dp and image as I colored them. The dark purple looks black on their noses.. Funny how colors don't always read right on the computer. I colored the image with copics. I went over Rudolph's nose and stars with Nuvo glitter brush.. I found this fun designer paper so cut it down and cut a strip of red/white stripe and added it to the left side. I foam mounted the image and using some watered down paste to stiffened the twine bow..

I chose to use two images for this card.

 The Kidz beach and Pup summer.

I started by using copics and creating the background. I had this fun foilage stamp from Simon Says and did the beach grass in Stampin up brown ink and the background greenery trees also in Stampin Up ink. I used my cloud template and Ranger ink. I then colored the image with copics. I added Nuvo glitter brush to the water and sunglasses. I added the Lawn Fawn sentiment also stamped in SU ink.

I am using the Snowman bells image from the Bugaboo store.. I found so winter looking designer papers. I used My favorite things oval dies. I colored the image with copics. I added the Simon says sentiment with Stampin up ink. I went over the snowman with Nuvo glitter pen and added Pretty Pink Posh jewels.
