Hello. Kids are back to school.. All my kids are grown and their kids have grown so now we see great grand kids off to school and sports. Fun times.

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: Embossing wet/dry

Again Stampin up products and a fun card to create. I need to remember this again. I added the squares of dp to a piece of card stock. Once done and dry I placed it in a embossing folder. so the whole piece is embossed. I then added the flower/leaves and sentiment. I love this added texture it gives the card.

Hello.. We're back from a summer break.

I enjoyed my time diamond painting, visiting friends and just another day. When you're retired every day is a vacation.. lol. 

Now back into card making for

I am using the image Door Mouse.  I colored with copics and went over the circles on the pot with Spectrum Noir pen. I used My favorite things circle die. I then looked for a paper for the background and this one was right in front in my My Minds Eye box so used it. Then dug through some sentiments and kept coming back to Dylusions stamps and chose this fun one.  He looks like he's going to regret what ever he got into.. lol

 I am using Happy birthday girl from Last Minute Manda. I colored her with copics and using Spellbinder die to cut her out. I added to a piece of My Minds Eye designer paper and stamped the Stampin up sentiment on the reverse side of this paper and embossed. I tied a bow and added with some diamond drills left over from a diamond painting I was doing. I added Spectrum Noir to the hearts, circles on hat, flower and lace on her dress.

Oh what a fun card to create. I used Reverse confetti bear and coffee cup and colored with copics. I found these scraps of designer paper from Quick Quotes and created the background. The scene was missing something so found this pot from My favorite things and painted with Prima wc. I dug through my die cuts and added the leafy plants. ..

I made a square card. I don't often do this shape but it was fun . It's using Stampin up products.  I love the field of flowers. It would be cool to add ink to each flower to give a different field of flowers.. but I just went with the pink as it went good with the green.

I have this boat die from Simon says and used scraps. I have a paper negative that some waves came out of so kept it knowing some day I would use it.. Today is the day.. I used Ranger ink and my cloud template to create the water, sky. I used My Favorite things die. I found this scrap of designer paper with the shells so added it and die cut the Tech. Tues. birds and colored with copics. I had this anchor so used Ranger ink and added the Simon Says sentiment.

It's time for a new challenge over at

Aud Sentiments #317

Theme: Tag and or any holiday

I made a tag.. I used white cardstock and cut it about 7 inches long.  I used a spellbinder die and just cut the top off the strip to make it kinda like a tag. I used Paper Trey Ink and inked up the tag and then put a stencil on it and using the same ink went over it again to give a darker background. I took Gold Liquitex ink and watered it down and did splatters over the tag. I set it aside to dry. I used My Favorite things Poinsettia die and white card stock and cut the images out. I used other colors of PTI inks and colored the images. I added them to the tag. I stamped the Sentiment from Stampin Up  - it's from a Christmas set but thought it could be used all year and remind you to let your heart be light.  I finished with some Diamond painting drills left over from a project I did.

Time for a new challenge over at

Sparkles Christmas Challenge #164 

Theme: Sentiment as focal point

I used DCWV paper as the background. I used Vellum and stamped the Stampin up sentiment with Stazon. Set it aside to dry as I work on the rest of the card..  I used My favorite things leaves and colored with Copics. I punched out some flowers from two different red with Stampin up punch. I added the vellum wrapping around to the back of the card and added the flowers along the side to hide the adhesive and added the piece to the with card base. I finished with some diamond drill crystals.

This card is using Stampin up products. It was fun making it colorful and I love the card shape. See below photo. I used diamond drill to embellish the balloons. this makes me happy - but I will never go in one. My brother got married in one.. but this girl says no way..

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: On the beach

I remember years ago when I was in Hawaii and walking the beach and seeing the turtles swimming in the sea. It was so awesome and calming. Beautiful animals. So this was what inspired me for this card. It's a Z fold card. The stamps and designer paper are from Stampin up. I made this at my friends house.  It sure brought back a lot of wonderful memories of being over there. I got to go a couple times. First tine in mid 70's and  for a few weeks. Then again mid 80's and was there a month. Beautiful place. 

Inside of the card. Sentiments are on the z fold so when you open it the other turtles are there with the sentiments

Hello.. Where is this month going? it has gone so fast.

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: K - Kitten or cats

I stamped this darling cat from Rubber Stampede and used My favorite things dies. I used Quick quote scraps to create the card. I cut the Hello from scraps that is the other side of the dot paper and stacked it 6 times to make more sturdy. I stamped the sentiment and added some diamond drills. I went over the hello with Spectrum Noir sparkle brush.  I added a little color to the image with copics.

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: Sunrise or Sunset

I created this card using My favorite things stencil of the sun. I used Ranger ink. I also created the water with a Newtons nook stencil.. I am not too happy with the water but I thought if I messed with it I would ruin it more so left it be. I stamped the Stampscapes tree and ducks. The sentiment if from My favorite things. I tore a piece of scrap and colored with Ranger ink to make a ground area that the tree was coming out of.  I kinda visioned being on a hill looking down at the water and sun off in the distance..

Theme: Something Metallic / card stock, embellishments

I used a embossing folder and tried adding some metallic paste to the raised areas but it just shows as smudges.. I used an un-named die and scraps to die cut the branches/flowers.. I used a Simon Says bow and used metallic paper and used a metallic star to the center. I used Sizzix die to cut the tag from a scrap of metallic paper and used Stampin up Love to the tag.

I used scraps to create the background. I stamped the My favorite things images and used Prima watercolors. I die cut out and added the sentiment . It was a pretty simple piece to create and love when things just come together. Some kid will enjoy it I hope... but probably what the gift more so... who knows.

Theme: Camping / Outdoor activities

This card I thought perfect for out door activities... One I DO NO DO.. but my Brother in law and SIL were here few days ago and he does fly. He love it and what you can see. I will take is word for it.. I'm fine in a big plane (course the news lately scares me with issues happening) but those small little planes I would be so scared. I stamped the plane on some SU designer paper and the sentiment is also from the set..

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: Alcohol ink / or Thinking of you

I decided to do both.. I created this background using Alcohol inks on Yuppo paper. I then cut a rectangle out of the dark gray card stock and added the inked paper. I wanted to keep it simple so used this Simon says leaf die and embossed the SS sentiment. I finished with a few left over diamond drills for embellishments.
