Welcome back.. It's the first of December. I hope your festive holiday month is stress free. Space out your time and enjoy. It's a quiet month at our house. 

We have a new challenge over at 

Sparkles Christmas challenge #143

Our theme is 

Non Traditional colors

For my card I used black watercolor paper and using Co-motion snowflake stamp heat embossed the image. Then used my Paul Ruben metalic watercolors and added colors. I set it aside and let it dry. I then took some glitter paper and Simon Says die and added a few layers to give it some thickness and added the sentiment to the card.

Hello.. 

We have a new challenge over at

Cardz 4 Guyz #262

Our theme for these two weeks LET IT SNOW

I hope this background doesn't look to feminine...My hubby said he loved it.  I used Oxide ink and smooshed down 3 colors. I did a grayish blue, a darker pink and purple color.. I spritzed with water and laid the water color paper down. I dried and kept adding till I got the look I wanted. I love pinkish colors with grays and that was what I was going for. I then heat embossed in white the Co-motion large snowflake and the smaller Simon Says snowflakes. I stamped and heat embossed the SS sentiment. Thought perfect for a guy.. and using Paper Trey ink die cut it out. I added on some foam dots.

Hello.. Today over at Do-Al (l) Creative #47 

we have a new month challenge.

Our theme is another Twisted Sister challenge

GLITTER AND CHRISTMAS GREETING

For my card I used black water color paper. I heat embossed the Co-Motion large snowflake. Using Paul Ruben metallic watercolors I painted in the snowflake. I then heat embossed the Hero Arts sentiment with a glittery blue embossing powder. I wanted a gold border so heat embossed the edges of the card with gold Simon Says powder. I used My favorite things and Simon Says snowflakes and die cut out of white glitter paper. I ran through the zyron and added to the card. I ended up added the card to some more white glitter paper / same as used for the snowflakes. I stamped with Altenew ink the happy holidays from Paper Trey Ink and using a small Marvy punch cut the circle and added to the snowflake. I finished with some sequins and Nuvo drops.

Always Fun Challenge #140

Our theme this week is SNOWFLAKES

I started with watercolor paper heat embossed different snowflakes I had. Using Mission gold paints watered down quite a bit I did the stripes in different colors. Then when dry I buffed the paint off the snowflakes. I stamped the Hero arts sentiment and cut out with s My favorite things die and added to the card. I added a sequin snowflake and sequin with a dot of Nuvo drops to the center. The snowflakes are Co-motion, Simon Says.

This is another wood block red rubber stamp.. I think it's by Co-Motion.. There is ink on the side and it cant be read.

I stamped it image and colored with copics. I used gold stickles for the flame and dots and some Jo-Ann designer paper for the background.

Welcome to Mid month reminder at Always Happy Birthday #7

Our theme is BIRTHDAY ANYTHING GOES / OPT: CAKE

 

 
I used a really really old Co-motion wood rubber stamp.. I stamped the cake on a piece of pink card stock. I used copics to color areas. Funny adding copics to the pink it comes out different colors than the actual copic..  I then fussy cut it out. I ran the blue card stock through a number embossing folder. I added the cake. I stamped the Happy birthday on a piece of Quick Quote scraps and fussy cut the balloon out. I added some twine. For the flames I added stickles and the flowers and rows of pearls I added liquid pearls.

As always the theme is

 ANYTHING GOES AS LONG AS IT'S CHRISTMAS..

 

I started my card by stamping the Co-motion snowflake and emboss in white. Then I used Simon Says stamped the sentiment and again embossed in white. I took some Ranger Oxide inks and smooshed on my craft mat and spritzed with water and laid the embossed piece in and dried and smooshed again and dried until I got what I wanted. I then mounted on my card base and added some sequins.  Again CAS so quick to make this card.

Digging through my dresser drawer in my craftroom closet I found this cute Christmas stamp.. I stamped the image from Co-motion stamps on Kraft card stock. I used colored pencils and blending solution (it's old.. it's not gamsol but something like it) Boy using the blending solution it really brightened up the color pencils on the kraft.. I added Ranger ink around the edge and the sentiment is from Simon Says. I added some Nuvo drops clear on the Christmas lights and Spectrum Noir to the light glow.  I hope you are inspired to make a Christmas card or two. Winter Wonderland and color challenge

Well this is my card. When I printed out the color challenge the colors looked more grays vs. purplish gray and the last color was more tanish color..   Anyhow I used watercolor paper and white embossed the Co-motion snowflake and embossed in white then I took rangers inks in gray and burgundy and did the spritz with water and laid the paper in the inks till I got the effect I wanted. I LOVE the background!!!! I then took some heavy vellum and Tech. Tuesday sentiment and white embossed and added to my card. (I love the sentiment) I then die cut out of that 100 sheet silver paper I got by mistake the two snowflakes. One is by Simon Says and One is by My Favorite Things. I then added the sequin to the center of the snowflakes and some silver stickles to the center of that. I added the watercolor paper to kraft and then white card stock.  Did I say I LOVE this card?? LOL

Do i look like i care? / Guest designer Creative Craft Cottage

I am so happy as I was chosen to be a guest designer at

 Creative Craft Cottage. It's a great pleasure and thank you for asking me.

The theme for this challenge is SPOTS AND OR STRIPES

 

 

      The image I am using is from Dr. Digis called Happy Hour Horace

 

For my card I used striped plaid paper from Lawn Fawn and a green ribbon with white dots for the theme. I used some Tim Holtz word stickers and Comotion letters for the Care?.. I used a Tim Holtz stencil for the spots in the background. I thought the sentiment really went with the image. He doesn't look like he gives a toot.
