So as you know we are now a monthly blog starting on the 8th. Our challenges are tags.. Not tags on cards but actual tags..

So welcome to a new challenge at Craftaholics R Us.

 

 I started with a Tim Holtz tag and using Ranger inks created the color background. I then stamped the Magenta image.. It's an old wood red rubber stamp.. I took Texture paste and stencils and created texture. I added some bling and Nuvo drops. I added scrabble tile HI.. To the lizards I added some glossy accents. To finish the tag off I added a ribbon and twine.

Welcome to Craftaholics R Us

Well we are now a monthly challenge starting on the 8th of each month. We are also a TAG challenge.. Not a tag on a card.

Theme is ANYTHING GOES / TAG

 

 

I decided my card should use this fun set of stamps.. I used my cloud template and ground template to create the background. I then stamped the cute Gerda Steiner images and colored with my Mission paints. I added them to my tag and used a My Favorite Things speech bubble and added the sentiment from Gerda Steiner. I added some twine.  I hope I encourage or inspired you to create.

Welcome back for another week challenge at Craftaholics R Us #34 and the Green team has a fun challenge for you..

The theme is PARADISE...

Can't wait to see what PARADISE means to you.

 

 

To me paradise is water and hot weather.. I decided to make an island but it could be the Pacific ocean off our state of Washington or a lake/river/pond.. I love water. it's so calming and love looking at it. We are so blessed to have the Pacific ocean close by. Our property is along a river.. you cant see it unless you walk to the back of our property.. Anyhow I used my Mission paints and created the kidney bean island surrounded by ocean. I used Lawn Fawn palm tree and crab dies. I used My Favorite Things birds and greenery.  I also colored them with Mission paints. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions. I used a white gel pen to give white caps an beach foam and highlights on the trees I used a brown gelly pen for the tree ground area and coconut mark.

I hope you're having a fun wonderful summer.. Gone on a nice vacation or just set back and relax and craft..

I have been doing some water coloring/pencils work out side for future images on my cards and I love the fresh air and quiet country life.

Well the Green team is back with a new challenge at

 Craftaholics R Us #32.. Our theme this week is YELLOW

 

 

OK I am not a yellow person but I did yellow and had to add it with the darks that I love. I went through my Stampin Up stash of papers an except the lower left balloon all are SU. I used a Simon Says balloon die and cut out a bunch.. These are the ones I ended up using. I adhered them to the yellow base and added the Simon Says happy birthday then drew on the strings. I did go around the edges of the balloons with some Quick Quote chalk ink. It's hard to see but in real life it's noticeable. I added some white Nuvo Drops. I do love the richness of the yellow and black..

The Green team has a new challenge for you. The theme is BIRDS

 

 

Last fall I got this stamp set in my monthly mail club from Tech. Tuesday and just now using them. I used all of the birds in the set and colored them with Zig markers. I also used the sentiment from the same set but used a My Favorite Things hello die vs. the stamp in the set. The flowers are from a MFT stamp set. They are also colored with Zig markers. I used Ranger ink for the ground and sky. Aren't these cute happy birds. I love their look.  Hope you play along. Check out the DT over at Craftaholics R Us.

The Green team is back with a new challenge this week at

 Craftaholics R Us #28  the theme is TURQUOISE

 

 

 

I really love the color Turquoise and I just happen to have a few Stampin up turquoise card stock pieces left. I also found this designer paper that worked perfect. This Tim Holtz crazy bird was painted with Mission paints summer 2017.. I embossed the happy birthday. The leaf the bird is standing on is a SU die.  This card came together just as my mind pictured it.. love when that happens.  Hope you pull out your turquoise papers, markers, paints what ever applies an play along.. if you need inspiration check out the design team.

Hi .. Hope you're having a blessed day and ready for a new challenge at Craftaholics R Us #26.

The Green team has a fun theme for you SUNSHINE...

lets see what you can create with this theme.

 

 

 for my card I used water color paper and stamped the sunshine from Simon Says 3 times.. I heat embossed with a light yellow.. wrong.. don't do it.. I then heat embossed the My Favorite Things flowers and leaves in black.. that worked.

I probably should of turned the paper over and started again.. but I didn't. I used Mission water color paints and colored the images. The sunshine images just didn't pop so I took a fine line paint brush and black paint and went around the sunshine images. There is a little face on the stamp and was very faint to see with the light embossing so I took Nuvo drops that kind that dries clear and added the circle and smiley face. I then stamped the "you are my" and using My Favorite Things circle die cut it out. I went around the circle with Quick Quote ink. I then die cut the Sunshine by Simon Says and added it. I added a bling for the i dot.

Welcome back to my blog. Hope you're having a great summer - or winter..  I am having fun setting on our new deck we had built late last summer and coloring and drawing. I hope you have time to enjoy the weather and craft outside.

This is my card. I used KRAFT as the base and using a Simon Says background stamp. I heat embossed the image. Using my Mission paints I just selected a few areas an painted. I was surprised that the paint worked on the KRAFT. That made me happy. I then embossed the My favorite things sentiment and die cut the Smile from Simon Says. The Smile is die cut from silver shinny card stock. This card is so awesome in real life. I wish you could see it. Try painting on KRAFT.. like I said I was surprised it worked an did not get fuzzy.

This card was fun and simple to create. I adhered the gingham ribbon and then using My Favorite Things stitched square die cut the square. The cute elephant is Simon Says and I painted it the summer of 2017 with my Mission water colors. The sentiment is heat embossed and also from SS.  I hope I have inspired you to create and play along. I love the black and white.

The Green team is back with another fun challenge at

Craftaholics R Us #20  and the theme is ANYTHING GOES

Back in 2017 I used this stamp from Hero Arts and embossed the piece but the embossing was messed up cause I didn't get a good stamp on most of it so I cut the piece down to just  three inches which was ok.. I saved it.. Now I am glad I did because it worked out perfect for this ATG challenge. I just cut the piece into one inch strips and added them on foam strips to the blue paper. I embossed the sentiment from Tech. Tuesday in white and added some sequins and Nuvo drops. This card was fun and simple to make.  I really love this Hero arts stamp. So pretty and detailed. The blue embossing powder is so pretty I just need to remember to make sure I double stamp the Versa Mark so I get a good sticky mess for the powder. But at least it was partially saved and thanks to my can't throw anything away.

I again have an old wood/rubber stamps this is from Creative cousins an the sentiment is from Hampton arts.

I heat embossed the images on water color paper and using Mission water colors I painted the images. I added some Nuvo drops. I think I need to use this stamp more often. It's so cute. You could probably add a real ribbon bow just to fancy it up. I hope you are inspired and enter your card over at Craftaholics R Us.

I have always loved this rubber stamp. It's a wood block stamp.. that is how old it is.. LOL.. It's by Carmen's Veranda stamps..

I colored her with copics and added some twine, doodlebug acrylic dots. The sentiment is from the Power Poppy acrylic stamp set.

Welcome to our first challenge for April.. The Green team has a great challenge for you at Craftaholics R Us #14

and the theme is Happy Birthday

 

 

Time for another birthday card. I love when the challenge is for something I know I will need in the near future. I wanted to make this more masculine but with the background paper it could be feminine also. Really it could be for either. I used Oxide inks and stamped the Simon Says balloons. I stamped each balloon 3 times to try to get good coverage. I then went to another color and stamped it again 3 times. I then used white ink and stamped the string and sentiment. I heat embossed in white powder and where the white powder got on the balloons I just left because it kinda looked like highlighting. If I realized before hand I was going to emboss I would of used my static bag.. I cut the piece down and added to the background designer paper.

It's time for another challenge at Craftaholics R Us #12... and the Green team has a great challenge for you.. ANYTHING GOES

 

 

 I was lucky enough to get this awesome rubber stamp image from a fellow blogger.. in fact she sent me two House mouse stamps.. THANK YOU!!! I am finally putting one of them to paper.. I stamped and water colored the image with Mission water color paints. I wanted to paint the background so started light.. with yellow but didn't like it so then went with green and it wasn't quite right then went more with a blue/green and liked it. I used My Favorite Things stitch die and then mounted it to a dark green. I used a pretty designer paper for the background. I heat embossed the sentiment also from MFT. I used a few drops of Nuvo drops to complete the card.

 The Green team has a new challenge for you..

the theme is GET WELL

 

 

This is a perfect theme again .. I don't know how many times I've rushed to make a Get Well card cause I don't have any on hand. OR use some other card I've made and just written Get Well inside.. Well if you're the same then this is the perfect challenge for you to play in..

I have this awesome sentiment from Art Impressions and haven't used it for a long time if ever. I have a funny turtle image that does with it but I've been wanting to used this Waffle Flower stamp set with the cat. I don't know how else to use this funny cat on it's back so that is why I thought this would be perfect. I stamped the chair and cat from WF and the flowers from Lawn Fawn and painted with Mission water colors. I die cut them out and then put my card together. The get well soon is from LF.  I hope however I give this card to will make them feel better soon.

Hard to believe February is almost over.

The Green team is back with another fun challenge at

Craftaholics R Us #8 and our theme is a favorite..

ANYTHING GOES  ... woo hoo  love that theme

 

 

 

So with a new year there are birthdays so I took advantage of the ATG's theme and made a birthday card.

This circle was cut a long time ago and with the My Favorite Things stitch die. I used Art Impressions "they say" sentiment and then a Simon Says "happy birthday" and stamped on the circle. I had a piece of  My Favorite Things die strip so used it for the grounding for the pets. The Crazy dog and cat were colored during the summer of 2017 using Mission paints. I die cut a Lil Inker balloon and used the Spectrum Noir glitter pen over the balloon and then added it to the card and added embroidery floss as the string. I added a white gel pen highlight to the balloon.

The background Kraft I ran through a numbers embossing folder and used Ranger ink and just skimmed the top to bring the numbers out.

the theme is THANK YOU

 

 

We always seem to need Thank you cards so this was a pleasure to make. I chose to kinda make this a masculine card.. but could be for anyone. I chose a Paper Trey Ink stamp for the back ground and repeated the stamping up this up the card base. I then embossed with white embossing powder. I then used another PTI stamp and stamped the Thank you and embossed with the white again. I have the Nov. 2017 card kit Kind flowers Simon Says stamp set and used the "you are one of a kind" and also white heat embossed. I used SS stitched scallop die and cut the thank you out. I added all of the elements to the card. It was missing something so I used silver paper and EK heart punch and then ran the heart through the small dot embossing folder and added it to the sentiment area. I love the silver/gray/white/black colors.
