For my card I chose to use Tech. Tues. flowers and butterflies. I painted with Shin han watercolors. I added the die cut sentiment also from Tech. Tues. I added some left over diamond painting drills.

Hello

We have a new challenge over at 

Happy Little Stampers Watercolor 

Our theme is ANYTHING GOES

For my card. I used the squares that came out of last months challenge piece I did. (they are painted with ShinHan watercolors) I gave them to my hubby and told him where the precut A2 size card stock was.. This is the background card stock he chose and he kinda had them laid out this way.. I just moved them around a little. I then had this Stampin up die cut that I used a little Ranger ink to give color. The sentiment is from Stampin up and heat embossed..  The die cut squares are watercolored and splattered with gold metallic paint.  I added a few left over diamond painting drills.

As you like it - recycle or bought (left over diamond painting drills, instead of throwing away I save for my card embellishments. The squares were left over from another project that I used. I like the diamond cuts in the drill for the extra sparkle)

Our theme is 

ANYTHING GOES

The is a watercolor piece I did and used Shin Han watercolors. I splattered it with Perfect pearls and some metalic from Paul Rueban.. I then used my Lawn Fawn die. I hated cutting out this pretty piece but I have all those pretty squares that I will save and use on another card.. Maybe next months?  I then took a yellow card stock and various little stamps and stamped the squares. To give some color I used some left over Diamond painting drills.

It's time for a new challenge over at

Our theme this challenge is

THINGS WITH TAILS

This is an old red rubber stamp and I am not sure who it's by but I want to say it's Rubber baby buggy bumper.. I stamped the cool iguana on watercolor paper and using my Shin Han painted him. I did extend the rock he's on so it's not so narrow. I used for the wine some Paul Ruben metallic for the wine color kinda looks like sparkling champagne. I added him to a piece of Stampin up brown and then this marble looking designer paper?? I added the embossed sentiments, one from Reverse Confetti the other Simon Says. I used Spellbinder banner dies. I finished with some sequins and Nuvo drops.

It's time for a new challenge over at

Our theme this challenge is

AGE IS JUST A NUMBER

I wasn't too sure how to relate to the challenge when making a card with this theme.. but thought ok add numbers, add a guy (cardz 4 guyz) and birthday.. I know age is what you feel you are.. I don't feel as old as I am. It's just a number.. So this guy is just chilling, obviously going through his teenage years again.. watching tv, drinking sodas, eating chips and just being sloppy.. lol.. I used Art Impressions image. I painted with Shin Han water colors. I added some Taylored Expressions  die cut numbers and the image. I went around the edge of the card with Ranger ink to tone down the bright white. I added the Tim Holtz snarky sentiment "I smell old people. Oh wait, that's you- Happy Birthday"

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

For my card I stamped the Azadi Earles branch then the Your next stamp image on water color paper. I used Shin Han wc and Paul Ruben metallic wc.. I added some Gouache snow.  Was a fast easy card to create. Took longer to dry vs. painting..

Hello

I made this card for my son's dog Louie who is a Yorkie and got bit playing with my grandsons dog which is a Golden retriever.. He got bit in the eye on Fathers day so they ran Louie to the emergency vet. They gave him a pain shot and said no dr. was there to say if he was ok. So my son and DIL decided to take him home (it was already 11pm.) and monitor him all night. My DIL took him to the vet Monday morning and the Dr. there said he needs to see a specialist as there is a lot of swelling. So she ran him over there and they put him on a bunch of meds and he needs to come back when the swelling is down and get an ultrasound. So it's a wait.  He could lose his eye sight in the one eye as there is a lot of bleeding behind the eye. Anyhow I made this card for Louie from our three dogs. Of course my dogs are a Shih Tzu/Llasa,  a Maltese, a Shih Tzu/Maltese  and I just tried to find small dogs that would kinda work and paint sorta the colors they are. I used Shin Han water colors. I used a Sugar Pea, Newton's nook, Simon Says, Paper Pretties, Lawn Fawn stamps.

We have a new challenge over at

Our theme this challenge is

DOGS OR PUPPIES

Oh my this card took forever for me to create before I finally ended up with this card design. I at first cut a bunch of grasses but they just didn't look right and made it really bulky. I had the card landscape but it just looked weird with all the fences.. so tossed all away and went with portrait and double fence area and used my ground template and Ranger ink.. this worked out a lot better. I used my cloud template and Ranger ink for this also (the background card stock is Stampin up blush.. I like the hint of pink to the sky). I stamped on water color paper the two dogs, flower pot and bow and using Shin Han watercolors painted them. I used the dies. Since the little boy dog is so short I liked the idea of the overturn flower pot for him to stand on and visiting .. flurt'n with the girl poodle that's all decked out with pearls and a bow in her hair.. The images are from My favorite things, the fence is Paper Trey Ink. The sentiment is MFT and used Stampin up ink and Tech. Tues banner die.. fence/sentiment are scraps. I am pleased with the way it finally turned out.

It's time for a new challenge over at 

Always Fun Challenge #210

Our theme this week is ANYTHING GOES

Well I finally did it.. tried painting line-less.. or what ever it's called. I stamped this Pink Fresh Studio image that was given to me by a dear friend. I stamped with Ranger ink, a light color. I then used my Shin Han watercolors and colored her. I was happy with the way it came out.  I took some of the blue paint and painted a scrap of watercolor paper then stamped the sentiment and using Stampin up stitch die cut out and added to my card. I am happy with this type of painting. I think doing such a small image helped not get me lost or overwhelmed.

Our theme this challenge is

PLAID/ AND OR CHECKS

I used the image from Katzelkraft.. the dog is so cute.  I stamped him and using Shin Han watercolors painted him. I used Gouache for the collar and Paul Ruben metallic for the dots on the collar.  I fussy cut him out.  I found a piece of plaid paper and scrap of check paper and added the dog. I used the Snarky Tim Holtz sentiment.  So funny.. 

I'm not childish, you're just a big doody head..      lol  I do think my 3 dogs give me this look.. is that what they are thinking??

I am the host this week over at 

Alphabet Challenge 

So that gives me the choice of themes

So since we are starting back at the beginning of the alphabet I get 

A =  ANNIVERSARY

I chose Anniversary as the "A" word as there are anniversaries coming up since so many get married in the spring, early summer.  For my card I stamped the Simon Says sentiment and image. I then used my Shin Han watercolors and painted the images. The background looked so plain so I used Paul Ruben metallic watercolors and this pretty pink and painted the background. I added dots to the flower centers with metallic paint. I added a scrap of Quick Quote paper to the left and added a ribbon.

It's time for a new challenge over at 

Cardz 4 Galz #144

Our theme this challenge is

SLIMLINE

Ok.. I don't know if I am sold on these slimline cards yet or not.. I've only made a few. To me it's too much card. ALTHOUGH it worked for this fun Rubber Baby Buggy Bumper OLD stamp.. I love light houses and the coast. We try to get out a few times over the summer. We are only about an hour drive. I love living in SW Washington state.. Anyhow I stamped the image and using Shin Han water colors colored the image.  I found an old pre-scored slim line card base (I had a few from many years ago when I belonged to Club Scrap) I chose the yellow base as it kinda brought out the light house color. I stamped the RBBB ground mounds below the bird with gray ink and stamped the G-rated sentiment. I added this under the image and added to the base. I have this sea bird die I have no idea who it's by but grabbed some scraps and then added it to the card.  I think I would be happier with a slimmer shorter body.. oops I mean card..

Our theme for this challenge is

SENTIMENT ON THE INSIDE. 

This is my card. I stamped the Tech. Tuesday image and using Shin Han watercolors painted the image and splattered the background. I stamped the Paper Trey Ink sentiment and heat embossed. I cut this down to create a banner. I added to the card. I stamped the image to the inside of the card and added more of the Paper Trey Ink sentiment.

Our theme is ANYTHING GOES

Our sponsor this week is ODDBALL ART

I am using the image called Nixi spirit of the sea mermaid

I first created the background using ShinHan watercolor paints. I set it aside to dry. I then used Paul Ruben metallic watercolors and painted the little mermaid image. I tried to be careful as I printed the image on card stock vs. watercolor paper.. It came out ok. The metallic paints are so pretty. I then fussy cut the image out. I dug through my watercolor die cut images and found these My favorite things sea grass and fish. I also found a couple other greenery so added them. The sentient is also from Oddball. I finished with some clear jewels.

 I hope you can see the metallic paints better on the mermaid in this close up..

Hello..

 I have two family grown up male birthdays in Oct. and two more in Nov. so I decided to do a painting similar to how I did some cards some months back.. this time I just did blue/green/gold in brush width lines.. I am not sure if I like this as much as the ones I did before where it was more of a wash of colors. But I think for guys it's going to work out.. I used Shin Han water colors and Kuretake gold then did the circles and black foliage with Fabre Castell brush pens. The sentiments are from Simon Says and Paper Pretties. I cut them down to about 4 x 5.25 and added to a white card base. My hubby likes them so I think they are male approved.

Happy Retirement to my brother

Hello.. Today I have a card to share with you.. My little brother.. well this one is 5 yrs. younger than me, is retiring August 1st.. He said after being home all these months with the covid pandemic that he's actually enjoyed the time and getting things done around the house that he never had time for before. He has / had his own contractor business building beautiful homes for a variety of people from  head of hospitals, Microsoft, large business companies and more.. He lives in a beautiful home he built quite a few years ago with an awesome view of Puget Sound. He loves creating, gardening, cooking, canning... there's so much he enjoys and I am so excited that he will now be able to enjoy his time doing for himself and my SIL.. She still plans to work which isn't far from their home as she loves her job and she pretty much is the only person in her department so that is a plus. 

Happy Retirement Barry... 

I stamped the Taylored Expressions images and sentiment on watercolor paper. I used ShinHan watercolors. That's pretty much it. CAS.
