Our theme this week is USE THE BELOW SKETCH

So this is my card for the challenge.  I love this fun Holly berry house deer. I stamped him on Kraft cardstock. I used my Prisma colored pencils. I added the Simon says hello there. I used My favorite things die. I had a scrap of this awesome plaid so used it and stamped and heat embossed the SS sentiment. I punched three snowflakes out of the kraft catdstock and heat embossed with some white sparkle embossing powder.  I love this card and think it's perfect for that guy in your life. So I think this will go to my brother and his husband..

Hello.. I have a card to share for a new challenge over at 

Cardz 4 Galz #135

Our theme for these two weeks is 

CUTE CHRISTMAS

This is my card.. I really wanted to keep it simple and I am pleased with how this came out. I stamped the Your next stamp deer and using Prisma colored pencils colored it in.. (I ended up having to do twice as I put it back in the misty to re-stamp after it was colored and obviously didn't have it in the corner as I had a ghost stamping. least it was a small image to color and I learned a lesson.. make sure you tuck that image in the corner)  I then used Simon says dies and cut a frame out of Teresa Collins scrap. I used SS snowflake and Stampin up ink and added a few to the background. I stamped the SS sentiment and banner and fussy cut out. I used again SU ink. I added some Nuvo clear drops to the eyes, jingle bells and snowflake centers. I added some Spectrum Noir sparkle brush to his red nose.

I knew what I wanted to do as soon as I saw the Kraft challenge. I love using colored pencils on Kraft.. So dug out my Prismas.. I stamped the Art Impressions image and colored in. I then added the top sentiment also from Art impressions and the get well soon from Lawn fawn. I had so much space above so using Simon says white ink and my cloud stencil I added the clouds.  I love how it came out.

I love that I am using my OLD Red Rubber Stamps..   This awesome stamp is from Carmen's Veranda. I colored the image with Prisma Colored pencils.  I heat embossed the Tech. Tuesday sentiment on a piece of scrap and added it to the card front. I distressed around the card with Quick Quote chalk ink.

Hello.. It's time for a new challenge over at

Our theme for these two weeks is

ORANGE AS DOMINATE COLOR

I started with watercolor paper and using Ranger Oxide inks. I smooshed orange marmalade and wild honey on my craft mat then laid the watercolor paper in it and dried and kept adding color and drying till I got what I liked. The rich orange is so awesome.  I then stamped the Simon says image and using Prisma color pencils and copics colored the image. I stamped the sentiment in the center then heat embossed the strip. I added to the card and finished with some Pretty Pink Posh jewels in a deep blue.

Hello.. I made a card for the Sept/Oct over at Creations in Pink but I told them I was leaving the team for Oct/Nov. She dropped me now so I still wanted to post my card. 

I have joined 4 other design teams so you will see those cards coming in the near future.

I am using the image called Beret Girl.. I used Prisma Color pencils to color her since she was so tiny. I cut her down and used some My minds eye designer paper. I stamped the Paper Pretties sentiment and finished with some Simon Says hearts and Stampin up jewels.

This image is called Chibi girl get well.. I created the background wall using Quick quote chalk ink and Simon says leaf stamp. I then created the bedding using copics and stamping another SS leaf and clear embossing it. I went inside the leaves with a color pencil and used a white gel pen for the little berries. I colored the image with copics.  I used a white gel pen to give dots to the cup. I used a SS rectangle die and then added her to the pink cardstock and a scrap of script paper. I stamped the Lawn fawn sentiment with Stampin up ink and went around the edges with QQ chalk ink.

as you know I am not into Halloween but I saw this stamp set and thought I would just play and see what I could create.

 

This the season for witches and this fun one is from an old Heidi Grace stamp set. I stamped the background orange paper with images from the set and then stamped the witch and pumpkins to the Taylored Expressions postage die. I used Ranger inks and my cloud stencil and my ground stencil and then stamped the bat in the sky. I colored the images with colored pencils. This was so simple to create.

 I have a card to share for the challenge going on over at

Our theme is FOR A CHILD + SENTIMENT

This is my card using the image called "love you to the moon and back" and I just so happened to have a My favorite things sentiment that says that. I stamped it in Stampin up ink and used a yellow color pencil to fill the letters in. I then cut the sentiment apart. For the image I used copics and colored her in and then used Ranger Oxide inks for the background. I went over the stars/moon/unicorn horns and bow with Spectrum Noir glitter brush. I used Lil inker stitch die and mounted this onto a scrap of  Quick quote dark brown card stock and mounted this to a white card base. I like the little bit of white showing. I then added the sentiment.

This is my reminder card for the design team challenge.. Another fun time playing in my craft room I wanted to give my neglected colored pencils love. I created this fun card. I used Taylored Expressions image. I stamped the image with Stampin up brown ink and then used Prisma colored pencils to color the image. I used My favorite things circle die to cut the image out. I adhered this to my card base then used some Stampin up leaves and frame die to fill in the area under the image. The sentiment is from Tech. Tuesday.

Welcome back to another challenge at Always Fun challenge

Our theme is Wedding or Anniversary

 I decided to make an anniversary card..  I seldom go to weddings so thought anniversary was more useful.

 For my card I chose another image from Tech. Tuesday. I stamped the image on some pink card stock and colored the flower with copics. I stamped the butterfly on some turquoise card stock and colored with pencils. I love the way it came out. I used the dies to cut out. I took a piece of gray Stampin up card stock and using Versa mark ink and Hero arts script stamp and stamped the background and layered this onto another piece of the pink used for the flowers. I stamped the sentiment that was in the set and using Stampin up ink and stitch oval die cut it out. I added some bling and called it done.

This is another OLD wood and red rubber stamp and this one is by Paula Best.  I love that this card says it all. it has every month on it and dates.. So it was a fun simple card to make. I used my colored pencils to color it.  I used a Paper Pretties birthday sentiment and heat embossed and cut it into a banner.

Are you ready for another fun challenge?  The Orange team has a great challenge for you at Pause Dream Enjoy #32..

 theme is ANYTHING GOES

 

So digging through my pile of background papers I've done in the past.. I found this Gelli plate paper I created. I then thought Safari and I had a Giraffe image from my monthly subscription from Tech. Tues. (this was probably close to a year ago..) so I stamped the giraffe and bird and colored with colored pencils and used the die cut. I then have a red rubber tree stamp and I have no idea who it's by. it's un-mounted. I stamped this on the background. I needed something for the bottom and I have a Rubber Stampede grass/rock stamp so stamped it across the bottom a couple times. I then foam mounted the giraffe and heat embossed the sentiment and add this and the bird.  I sure hope this looks as pretty on the computer as it does in real life.  I hope you play along and create anything you want.

happy birthday dino dude - Paper Girls Challenge #157

I am guest designer over at The Paper Girls for challenge #157

 

In June I had a card that was a winner on their blog.. I got the chance to be a guest designer in August so I said yes.. I'd love to

 

 

The theme is PAINT IT

Well knowing it was a painting theme at The Paper girls.. I knew what I wanted to do..

Back in June I won some digi images from Beccy's Place and I chose Dinosaurs.. I keep seeing sweet dinosaur stamp images but I really don't have any little ones to justify purchasing a set so when I had a choice of images I saw some awesome cute dinosaurs so chose them.  I started this card by stamping the image and using copics I colored him in and then fussy cut him out.  I took a piece of water color paper and laid the image down and then roughly drew in a scene. Then using my Mission Gold water colors I painted my scene. I thought there needed to be a volcano so I created one and using Stickles for the lava glow. I added some colored pencil details to the rocks and some to the image. I used foam dots and added the dinosaur to the card. I added the sentiment. It's done and I love it..

It's time for a new challenge at Catch the bug..

Beings it's the first Saturday of the month ..

that means it's ANYTHING GOES

 

 

This is my card. I started by coloring the image Flower butterfly vase.. with Prisma colored pencils. For some reason they really blended together. I was so happy. I didn't have to use Gamsol or baby oil.. I like that. I layered this on a piece of navy blue card stock. I found some bright yellow and green card stock so I cut to fit the A2 card base and using a burlap background stamp I used Versa mark and laid the card onto the stamp. (I see there is a small spot to the right in the green that I missed getting inked.. I know you probably didn't see it but boy I did but thought if I tried to go back and cover it with the stamp which is a red rubber.. It would look more noticeable as a blob..so I will live with it) I used Simon Says sentiment and heat embossed. I added some sequins and Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the butterflies and called it done.

I don't often do GET WELL cards and I really need to. I know people get sick and somewhere a get well card would really help them feel better. I need to do then more often.. maybe an ATG challenge would be a good time.. Any how I have this old rubber /wood Diamond stamp so I stamped it on some light gray paper and colored with my pencils. I added some Nuvo drops. I used My Favorite Things stitch dies. I stamped the Lawn Fawn sentiment and bug. I went around the edges with Quick Quote ink on the sentiment.  I think this would really make someone feel better.. maybe a guy.. LOL my husband had a comment I will not repeat.. lol..
