Well it's almost my birthday (20th) and Thanksgiving.. So following the Thankful theme mid month reminder..

 Creative with Stamps #20 

I have another card to show you...

 

 

I was looking on what I am thankful for.. I am thankful for my children, family, health (sometimes I question it) and life.. So I created this card showing a family.. Life looks like this...

I used my cloud template to create the background then used Lawn Fawn grass hills and some scraps of paper. I used Close to my heart bunnies and fussy cut them out. I took Mama Elephant balloon, birds and flowers and die cut them out. I colored all of the images with copics and the sentiment is two parts.. Life looks like this from Tech. Tuesday and Thankful is from Simon Says.. It was fun creating this scene.. The bunnies I won past spring time from HeARTful stamping blog which Chris is a Close to my Heart demonstrator. .

This is my card. I chose the row  Flowers - Stamped image - Ribbon

I stamped the Simon Says sentiment first then I softly drew a circle around the sentiment from a die cut.. I then chose a few different Simon Says flowers and leaves and stamped them around the circle using Altnew and Simon Says ink.

I needed a ribbon so I die cut the Lil Inker bow and adhered it to the card. I layered the card onto the same red color as the bow and then adhered to a white card base.

Welcome to another month challenge at

Creative with Stamps #20   With the holiday fast approaching this challenge will be perfect to send / give to someone.

 

 

 

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do but I was thinking Thankful and chose Grateful for my die cut. I'm thankful and grateful. I took out some background stamps from Paper Trey Ink and stamped 4 rows and heat embossed using Silver from Stampin Up. I then die cut the grateful from Tech. Tuesday and layered it twice.  Ok now what am I going to do??? Well I remember in the spring time I won a voucher from Birch Press design and so I ordered this flower (among other products). I used Ranger ink and stamped the flower and bud. I used the die to cut out. I then dug through my leaves I die cut months ago from LOT'S of scraps and added them and the flower. I like the look. I took Spectrum Noir pen and went over the lighter blue of the flower and bud.   Hope this card inspires you to play along and join in our Thankful challenge. Here I go with another OLD wood block wooden stamp. Stampalicious is the image stamp and the sentiment I don't know who it's by. It was one I mounted on a wood block.  I kinda cried when I found this in the box. The stamp block is chewed up. My little Ginger / Lakeland terrier who passed away 4 yrs. ago chewed on it.. I miss her so much. She was a real sweetheart.

Any how I stamped the images and then using Zig markers and colored it. I added some Nuvo drops and called it done.

The Yellow team has the new challenge for you and it is

 "O" is for OVAL

 

 

I really knew when I knew the theme was OVAL what stamp I wanted to use.. I love the Paper Trey Ink "take a moment to REMEMBER how special you are"  I just needed to make sure it fit the OVAL stitched die from My Favorite Things.. Yes it did if I lowered it enough. I don't mind the empty part at the top because I think the sentiment needs to stand out. I stamped the PTI leaves with PTI ink and die cut them out and then cut them apart to fit the oval.. I added some goosebumps just to give it some shine. I tried to add half pearls but they were to bright. I like these goosebumps. They are from Queen and Co. I took the background piece and dry embossed the large dots.

Where did September go??? This is crazy that the months just seem to be going so fast.

 

Welcome to another challenge at Paper Play Sketches #52

We have another sketch for you to try.

 

 

This is my card using the above sketch.. This card was so easy to create. I used the large sentiment which is from Simon Says and I stamped it in Stampin Up tranquil tide ink.. It's such a pretty ink color. I cut it out with a MFT circle die and then went around the edge with Ranger Ink. I then used my dot embossing folders and created the background pieces and a piece of scrap paper for the strip behind the circle.  For the little piece in the upper right corner I just added some leaves from Stampin up and Martha Stewart. I added a leaf below the sentiment and then added some goosebump gems to the card. This for sure is a fall feeling card.

Dang where is September going???

Christmas is just little over 3 months away.. 

 Mid month at Creative with Stamps #18

  Theme is LEAVES

 

 

 

This is my card.. I took Ranger inks and created the background and stamped Thankful and Grateful all over which is by Tech. Tuesday. I tried to keep the center of the wreath without any wording (it almost worked)  so that the leaves would stand out.. I used Simon Says wreath / birds die and stitched leaves and cut them out. I took Ranger inks again and inked the leaves, birds (we don't have Cardinal birds here in the Pacific Northwest but we have Steller Jays which are blue and black and similar to the cardinal.. so that is what I created) I like the contrast of the birds to the background. I colored a strip of paper with the Ranger inks and stamped the T.T. sentiment and added it to the inside of the wreath.  I added some Nuvo clear drops. I love that it gives the dew drop look. I think next time I create the wreath I will do a couple layers of the wrath to give more bulk.

This is my card using an over all Simon Says stamp that I think I inked with an ink that was too light. I did go over it with Ranger inks and I think it helped. I then stamped the sentiment by Simon Says on a piece of scrap dp. I stamped a couple leaves from Stampin Up and die cut the leaves out. I die cut Paper Trey Ink flowers and colored with Ranger ink. I layered them and added a pearl to the center. I like the color choices and rich look. I hope you find time to play along. Check out the Design Teams inspiration from their cards if you need help..
