Friday March 29, 2019

Hello and welcome to my blog. I have a card to share with you for the challenge over at Colour Crazy Challenge..Wk. 12
Our theme is ALWAYS ANYTHING GOES
We just ask that you color your image.
No pre-colored images are accepted.

Our sponsor for this card is Little Blue Button

I am using the image called coffee lovers.. There are some sentiments and other images in the set but I only used the girl. I fussy cut her out after I colored her with copics. I then got a piece of Kraft cardstock and took Stampin up ink and Hampton arts background stamp. I cut this down so there weren't any edges. I went around the edge with Ranger ink. I found a piece of scrap paper from Quick Quote. I layered the pieces and then stamped the sentiment from Stamp simply and using a SU die cut it out. I added a twine bow. I finished off with some sequins.

Challenges:

All this world needs - Inspiration Destination team #2 reminder

Wednesday May 10, 2017

While Ema is off and becoming a grandma and traveling... Woo hoo.. We are posting cards as a reminder of our challenges at Inspiration Destination..

A few months back Jennifer McGuire did a video on making cards with a window and using tulle in the open window area.. Well if you have been following me.. you know about a month or so before that I cleaned out my craft room and threw out things I have not used for a long time.. WELL tulle was one of those.. BUT I did save a ribbon spool that has ribbon about 5 or 6 inches wide... So I grabbed that and made my card. If you look real close you can see some little dog bones that are stamped inside of the card. I have a photo below showing the light colored bones. I double stamped so they wouldn't be too strong and what ever is written inside can be seen. I used some scraps of paper and Simon Says stitch circle die and cut my frame around the opening. The inside of the card has the kraft color frame. I stamped the dog to the left from Mama Elephant and the other little one is from My Favorite Things.. The sentiment is from MFT and is heat embossed in white. I like the kraft and red. I think I will be using this technique in the future.. I colored the little dog using colors of my little fur babies.

inside of the card. I stamped off twice to get a lighter image.
You can see through the ribbon where the kraft circle is

Wishing you a one-of-a-kind birthday - Stampavie and More #285

Wednesday April 19 2017

Welcome to another challenge at Stampavie and More #285

Our challenges run for two weeks and the theme for this challenge
is SPRING..  I'm sure we are all ready for SPRING so get out your thinking cap and have fun

This is my card.. I was watching a video a few months back and I saw a card design similar to this so thought yes that will work for this card.  I changed it a little to make it mine but the three circles ideas are from the video. I used the Simon Says stitched die and cut the circles out of the Kraft base. I then took a larger circle from My Favorite Things and cut three circles for the background. I wiped my Ranger Oxide inks over the circles and then sprayed with  Mr. Huey shine and let it dry. I stamped out the three animals from Mama Elephant and colored with copics and using the die for each animal. I added the circles and images. I stamped the birthday sentiment from Clear Design.. I then added Washi tape down the two sides and then added the Kraft card stock which is on foam tape. I went around the circles in a few places with my white gel pen. I used some EK stickers to help with the spring feel.  This card is so cute in real life. I hope you like and it inspires you to play along and load your SPRING card over at Stampavie and More..

 Friday December 30, 2016

Welcome to another fun Free Friday at Catch the bug.. image by Bugaboo Store

This is the fun imaged called AKV deer... this little guy is so cute.  It's quite a simple card and you can make it even simpler or not..
I used a Kraft strip and stamped Simon Says sentiment and used Quick Quote ink to distress the edges. I used Simon Says stitch die and My Favorite Things circle die and cut the image out. I colored the image in Copcis using various browns.. I die cut the holly from Paper Trey ink and used a little Quick Quote ink to give some depth. I die cut the pretty leaves with Stampin Up die set.
