And today at Catch the bug we have New Release day.. You can find the image in the Bugaboo store..

 

 

This is Xmas jar.. Just in time for our Christmas in July coming up next month.. July 15-21..

 

I had this teal piece that I cut a banner out of at one time it was in my pile of scraps.. Well I thought why not use it and just put a sentiment behind it.. So that is what I did.  I used the Simon Says - Be joyful sentiment.. perfect fit.  I colored the images with Copics and then added Spectrum Noir to the ornaments and stars I used a little bit of white gel pen to a few areas.  I used My Favorite Things stitch die. oh the banner die cut out is from My Favorite Things also.

This is Stella Belly Button... See this is why I love Stella.. You never know what she will say.. LOL  she is just too funny.

I found this fun yellow DP ?? for the background and I colored the image with copics. I went around the two borders of the image with copics and colored a strip of paper with purple copics and used my Tech. Tues banner die and cut out three banners. I added Nuvo drops to them.  This card was so quick to make..

This is Stella Work...  I posted Gus today also.. My two favorite funny images.  This card is a 4 bar size

3 1/2 X 4 7/8    .. Perfect for that small card you need. I used Quick quote chalk ink and Stampin up Cross hatch and stamped the background. I cut the image out with My favorite things stitch die. I colored the image with copics and added Wink of Stella to the WORK and glasses.

Welcome to Catch the bug - New Release  again like last week there are two releases.. I am posting separately.

This is Gus work....  Funny guy. He and Stella are my favorites.. So fun and funny.

I keep seeing about 4 bar cards.. so I looked it up to see the size.. dang it's small...

3 1/2 X 4 7/8

 

I printed out the image and guess I did not realize the how small it was so that was what made me think of 4 bar size.. I am glad I did it.  I used Quick Quote ink and Stampin up cross hatch and stamped the background.  I cut the image out with My Favorite Things stitch die. I colored the image with copics and went over the WORK and his glasses with Wink of Stella.  That's pretty much it.. very simple and fast card.

Welcome to Catch the bug New Release day..

There are two images. KKboy vacay and KKgirl vacay.. I am posting separately ..

I get too confused when I try to post together.. (when it comes to challenges) so this is easier for me. You can find the images in the Bugaboo store.

 

 

This is KK girl vacay... She is enjoying pink lemonade.. Looks yummy.  I found this paper in the American craft pad and thought it looked sunny. I cut the image out with My favorite things stitched die. I added my cloud template to the background. I colored the image with copics and used a white gel pen on her bathing suit. I added glossy accents to her pink lemonade and sunglasses.  I added the sentiment from Tech. Tuesday and heat embossed in white.

I have two cards that I am posting but on separate pages. I get too confused if I post together.. I've tried in the past and it just throws me off.. So this is for KKBoy vacay..  You can find the image in the Bugaboo store

 

 

This is the fun image.. KKboy vacay... I found this designer paper from American crafts and thought it looked like water splats. So I used it and then die cut the image with My Favorite Things stitch die. I colored the image with copics. I thought he was ready for that fun vacation and enjoying some lemonade.. I used glossy accents on the lemonade and sunglasses. I used a white gel pen on his shorts. I found this sentiment from Tech. Tuesday and heat embossed in white. I added my cloud template.

Welcome to another day and it being Tuesday it's 

New Release at Catch the bug..

 

 

 

This is Super Dad..  just in time for Fathers day.. I picked a fun designer paper and thought it would be a good manly paper. I love plaids.  I then colored the image going by the colors in the paper. I added Spectrum Noir glitter pen to the card and Nuvo drops. The sentiment is from Simon Says.  It's perfect huh? I love the colors.  I hope you have time to check out the Catch the bug site and see the DT's creations.

Welcome to a Tuesday New Release at Catch the bug..

This is an old image that has been around for a long time.. Jodie has been changing the Bugaboo Store to another program so she is coming up with some OLD and forgotten images that people may like.

 

 

This is the image called Stella peeker Search and Rescue.. You can find it in the Bugaboo store.

 

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do and then I just got the Lawn Fawn grass hill dies yesterday.. I had to use them.. I fussy cut out the image and colored with copics.. I then used Ranger inks and did the blue sky background and spritzed with water. I adhered the image with foam tape to the sky and added the little cloud that I cut out from the whole image and applied to the left side I then used two different green papers and die cut the grassy hills. I added glossy accents to the mountain top and sprinkled with glitter so make it look like snow.. I added some glossy accents to Stella's glasses. I used a Spellbinder die and cut out the sentiment. I took some MS punched ferns and added them along with some Nuvo drops. I added some white gel pen to her hat and vest.

It's Tuesday so that means it's New Release day at Catch the bug.. The images can be found in the Bugaboo Store..

 

 

This is the cute little guy.. Called Wee One Easter Bunny Boy.  I am not one to make Easter cards but this just had to be..

I wanted a plaid background so took out My Favorite Things stamp set which makes it easy to make plaid.. it's just getting the right color combo... I have issues with this but when I was done stamping (I used Ranger inks) I took a black sharpie and drew lines. I liked it better once that was done. I then took the Simon Says word bubble and stamped Holly Berry House sentiment and colored with Zig markers. I tried to make the background the brownish color from the plaid.. It came out dirty looking (at least to me it looks that way).. I colored the image with copics and die cut from My Favorite Things stitched oval. I used a white gel pen on the eggs. When the image was mounted I added some sequins and some small stars and heart sequins. They are really hard to see but they are there.  I hope I have inspired you to get this cute image.

Welcome to another Tuesday at Catch the bug... New Release day.  You can find the new release in the Bugaboo Store.. There are also sales going on.. So maybe you'll find something else out want to play with.

 

 

This little guy is called Teddy Top Hat..  I thought it would be nice to create my own background so found this cute little flower with stem from My Favorite Things and the other images are from various Simon Says stamp packs.. I stamped them all over and colored with copics.. After I cut it down and was cropping it I noticed when I cut it down it left a blank part on the right hand side.  Oh well it was already mounted on foam dots and knew I wouldn't get a nice stamped image so I let it be.  I heat embossed the sentiment which is from Simon Says. I used some Stampin Up elegant eggplant purple for the side colors.  There is a little Spectrum Noir glitter pin on the roses, top hat and bow tie.  I used a My Favorite Things stitched die with the bear piece.

Welcome to Catch the bug New Release..

Kidlet vet..  Fun cute image perfect card for that special vet in your life or as a get well card as I made for a friend who is sick..

 

You can find the New Release in the Bugaboo store and lot's of other awesome images.

I did some hefty craft room cleaning over the weekend.. I have a large craft-room and two big walk in closets so lots of room for crap.. plus under my craft table which is 4x8 foot I have 4 cabinets so more room for stuff and each short end of the table there are shelves.. Well I filled our recycle bins, burn containers, garbage bins and give away/donate piles. My room is for sure lighter. I can actually see things and feel good about what I got rid of.  So that brings me to this card. I found a box of papers I did from a Gelli plate I made quite awhile ago.. When I made the papers I really wasn't that thrilled about them.. funny how now that I have unearthed the box I LOVE them.. I cut them down to 4 1/4 X 5 1/2  and smaller and they are on top of my craft table in a fun container I also found. So they are in sight all the time.. I plan to use them more and more and might have to make more and hide for a year or more.. LOL
I chose one of the fun prints. To the left  I used bubble wrap and it gave the awesome circle design. The black to the right is made using hot glue on a piece of cardboard. It looks like they are layered but no it's one piece of paper. When I stamped on the gelli plate the cardboard hot glue had different shapes so it looks like it's layered. Weird huh.
  I didn't want to lose too much of the background so I fussy cut out the Bugaboo image. Kidlet vet. I thought this would be a fun card for that special vet or for someone who is sick.  That is what I plan to do with my card.. The sentiment is from Your next stamp and went perfect with the Bugaboo image. I used a Stampin up punch and added some Nuvo drops and colored the image with Copics and added a little white gel pen.

We are back from our much needed and appreciated vacation from Bugaboo/Catch the bug.

Now it's time for New Release at Bugaboo

The new release is called Roses and butterflies

 

This is the fun image. I remember seeing one time some chocolate roses and they were so pretty but I didn't want to go totally chocolate so I went more for a butterscotch look. I took some Ranger inks and made the background .. too bad so much of it is covered up but I did not want to resize the image cause it would of been too hard to color. I took some Quick quote chalk in and colored a strip of paper for the sentiment.  I could almost smell the flowers..

It's Tuesday so at Bugaboo / Catch the bug it's NEW RELEASE day

 

This is the darling NEW RELEASE image called Kid balloons.. I chose to give her an Asian look. I have this coin I got from Monika Reeck (who lives in Germany) her blog is Creative with Monika - thank you Monika.
I used some scraps of designer papers that were laying around and gave me the Asian color and feel. I back them with black stampin up card stock. I colored her with copics. A new chapter - Bugaboo - Catch the bug - new release

It's Tuesday and new release day at Bugaboo  /  Catch the bug

 

This is the image for our new release - Book sitter 2 -  I sat him on a stack of book which is also a Bugaboo image. I used a couple sentiments from Tech. Tuesday and after stamping the sentiments I cut them apart to fit where I wanted them on the card front. For his levis I took an old pair of levis and cut out a 3X3 piece of cloth and used the Copic 0 and put some on the levi scrap and laid it on the pant leg of the boy. I colored the legs only first before I did this. You have to color first then do this technique to the area you want with the effect.. Then you can finish coloring all the other part of the image. I added glossy accents to his glasses to give a glass shine.   I hope you head over to the Bugaboo store and see the images Jodie has drawn.
