We have a new challenge over at

Theme: Retiform technique

I haven't done this technique in years.. I used masking tape and blocked off a section and added the Ranger ink and Hero arts image then moved the tape and blocked off another section and repeated till the card front was covered. I took Gold Liquitex paint and painted on the edges of the sections.  I see things I could of done different but I think it turned out nice.

It's time for a new challenge over at

Aud Sentiments #317

Theme: Tag and or any holiday

I made a tag.. I used white cardstock and cut it about 7 inches long.  I used a spellbinder die and just cut the top off the strip to make it kinda like a tag. I used Paper Trey Ink and inked up the tag and then put a stencil on it and using the same ink went over it again to give a darker background. I took Gold Liquitex ink and watered it down and did splatters over the tag. I set it aside to dry. I used My Favorite things Poinsettia die and white card stock and cut the images out. I used other colors of PTI inks and colored the images. I added them to the tag. I stamped the Sentiment from Stampin Up  - it's from a Christmas set but thought it could be used all year and remind you to let your heart be light.  I finished with some Diamond painting drills left over from a project I did.

I have four cards to share.. I saw this on U-tube over at Creations Cee Cee.. I love watching her paint and her ideas. When I saw her create cards like the ones I pretty much copied below.. I had to try it. 

You take a 9 X 12 watercolor paper and divide it into quarters with painters tape. and tape around the edges.  Then where you want your sentiment to be once it's done add a piece of Washi tape.  Then you figure out a few colors which I did purple, green, blue. (which is pretty much what Cee Cee did) You just swish your colors on the paper making sure to just leave it lose. and leave lots of white area. I did that. Then once it was dry I took some liquid gold and added a couple swishes and dots.. not much but just a tad bit. I then let it dry. I took a Micron pen and drew the stems and leaves. I used a Fabre Castell brush pen and filled in the leaves. (again I pretty much copied hers.. I have no imagination..) I added some black dots. I set it aside to dry. Once it was dry I cut them down using my paper trimmer. I then took Simons Says sentiments and added to the area where the Washi tape was. I adhered them to my card base.. The first two I did the liquid adhesive made the ink bleed on the sentiment so I had to re-stamp the sentiment on white paper and added over the messed up sentiment. So the next two I adhered I kept the adhesive out of the sentiment area.  I love these and plan to do again. I might make some as Christmas presents and figure out my own design.. or maybe not..

Hello.. Welcome to my blog.. I have a card to share for the challenge over at Aud Sentiments #245

Our theme is ANYTHING GOES + SENTIMENT

We don't have a sponsor for this challenge so we could use anything we wanted. So I always seem to head for flowers and this set is from Simon Says. I colored the image with water color prima paints. I flicked the background with some left over plack paint and then used some Liquitex gold paint and dotted some on the flower centers and then flicked some of the gold on the background. I set it aside to dry. I then took a Simon says thanks die and die cut it 3 times and layered it. I heat embossed the SS sentiment and cut it into a strip. I added them to the card and added this piece to some black card stock. I went over the "thanks" with Spectrum Noir sparkle brush.
