Welcome back to a new challenge at

Always Happy Birthday #11  Our theme for November is BIRTHDAY ANYTHING GOES / OPT: FALL COLORS  

 

Fall colors.. Wow there are so many that can be used so I went through some paper pads (My minds eye and Basic gray)  and chose some different patterns. I used Simon Says stitch leaf die and cut out a bunch of leaves. I went around the edges with some Ranger ink. I also used SS wreath die and cut out two different colors.. well the leaves buried them.. I guess I just got carried away adding leaves. I added Goosebumps gems around the wreath. I stamped the sentiment and added this across the wreath. I rounded the corners and thought this looked like a plaque now.  I used an embossing folder on the rust card stock and then added a brad and tied the twine around it. I stapled the twine to the corners of the wood plank wreath.

Our theme is

ANYTHING BIRTHDAY /OPT: TEXTURE BACKGROUND

 

 

I needed a masculine birthday card so that is what I went for. I used Ranger inks and smooshed my water color paper in it and dried and kept smooshing till I got the look I liked. I then dried it.. I used a stencil and texture paste to create the texture. I set this aside to dry. I then took Simon Says sentiment and heat embossed it. I like the masculine look.

Our theme for this challenge is

 ANYTHING BIRTHDAY /OPT:

TEXTURE BACKGROUND

 

 

If you've been playing along,  you should have a pile of birthday cards.. minus the ones you've sent out. I know it's so nice to have a card ready when I need it and I have a pretty good stash making two month.  Well for my card I started by using Ranger inks and smooshing the water color paper in it. I heated and applied again and again till I got the look I liked. I then took my Texture paste and a stencil and added this to the card for the texture part of the challenge. Once dry I took the Happy birthday from Paper trey ink and heat embossed it black. I love the contrast.  This is such a summery card. Perfect for that summer birthday person.. or just to brighten up a winter birthday.. These colors remind me of sherbet ice cream.. yumm glad I like ice cream year round.

I love seeing clear embossing on black or dark card stock so I used the Paper trey ink leaves and stamped them on the card and clear embossed. I white embossed the happy birthday by Simon Says.. I used Stampin Up ribbons and added them to the card.

For my card I used Paper trey ink leaf stamp and stamped on the card base. I clear embossed.  I added the ribbon and then cute out the My favorite things sentiment 4 times and layered. I added this to the card. I love the bold look.

Mid month reminder at Always Happy Birthday #8  and our theme is BIRTHDAY ANYTHING GOES / OPT: WATER

 

 

For the background I used an old piece I created on the Gelli plate with paints and bubble wrap.. I thought it would give good interest for the under water scene. I stamped the images from My favorite things and die cut out. I colored with copics. I added some Nuvo drops for water bubbles and Spectrum noir sparkle pen. I heat embossed the sentiment.

Our theme for this month is

BIRTHDAY ANYTHING GOES / OPT: WATER

 

 

So this card really made me smile.. I stared by using my cloud template to create the sky. I had a piece of water color paper I created last year.. (Kuretake paint and plastic wrap scrunched and set aside to dry) I used My favorite things wave die and cut a little piece off and added it straight to the card base. I then used an embossing pen and added white embossing powder for the white caps and heat embossed the sentiment in white (the hb is from Tech. Tues. the gullfriend is MFT) I added foam behind and added this to the card. I stamped some Simon says sea gulls to the sky. I used My favorite things sea gulls and colored with copics and die cut them out.  I love the sentiment.

Welcome to Mid month reminder at Always Happy Birthday #7

Our theme is BIRTHDAY ANYTHING GOES / OPT: CAKE

 

 
I used a really really old Co-motion wood rubber stamp.. I stamped the cake on a piece of pink card stock. I used copics to color areas. Funny adding copics to the pink it comes out different colors than the actual copic..  I then fussy cut it out. I ran the blue card stock through a number embossing folder. I added the cake. I stamped the Happy birthday on a piece of Quick Quote scraps and fussy cut the balloon out. I added some twine. For the flames I added stickles and the flowers and rows of pearls I added liquid pearls.

This stamp set is from Taylored Expressions.. It's an old stamp set. I stamped the images on scraps of Quick Quote dp. I fussy cut the images out and added some copics to give interest in some areas. I stamped the sentiment and used a My favorite things stitch die. I used an embossing folder for the background then layered the images. I used a white gel pen to areas and Spectrum noir sparkle pen. I added the twine.  Was a fun card to create.

Well when it's summer  I think of ice cream... heck I think of ice cream any season.. lol.  Well I decided to create my card using these Simon Says stamps.. I used my cloud template to create the sky. I then stamped two bars on the background and one on card stock I colored and fussy cut out.. I colored them with copics.. I added the heat embossed sentiment on the chocolate bar. I didn't like the bars jus floating in the sky so using Stampin up in I stamped some rows of circles. I had a Club scrap stamp sitting on my desk so using SU ink added them to the corners and went over the leaves with Spectrum Noir sparkle pen.

I made my card using Simon Says stamps.. the HB is from Hero Arts.. I stamped the clouds and water with Stampin up ink. I added more color to the water with Ranger inks.. it just needed some filling in. I stamped the sentiments. I added a few sea gulls. I then stamped the flip flops on a pice of Quick Quote scrap and boat on some card stock and colored the boat with copics. I used a white gel pen on the flip flops and fussy cut everything out.

I found this awesome My Minds Eye designer paper that has hot air balloons on it.. So I just used some Quick Quote scraps and Simon Says balloon dies and added to the sky. I added the SS sentiment.. Quick and easy card.

I went through my Simon Says stamps and inks and stamped the balloons and then using a gelly roll pen drew in the strings. I went over three of the balloons with Spectrum Noir sparkle pen. I added Stampin up orange card stock behind the panel. Done..

I used Basic Gray designer paper for this card. I die cut the sentiment with My Favorite Things die and then adhered to the card base. I tied twine to the bottom and used Martha Stewart punch for the ferns and Stampin Up punch for the flowers. I added Nuvo drops to the inside.

I got a free birthday stamp from Simon Says in Nov. for my birthday.. This is the stamp.. Isn't he cute. I stamped the dog on water color paper and used my Mission water colors to paint the scene. I used My favorite things stitch die. I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed and cut the words out. I love the cuteness of this card.
