We're back with another fun challenge at

Sunny Day Crafting 

our theme is ANIMALS... ANY ANIMAL

 

 

Oh my gosh I had so much fun creating this card.. I used my cloud template and created a strip of clouds. I then used Taylored Expressions mountains die and distressed the edges with Quick Quote chalk ink. I then used Lawn Fawn grass die and Club Scrap dp and created the desert dry grass. I then used Tech. Tues large llama and Taylored Expressions smaller llama with scarf and colored them with copics and die cut them out. I colored two of the My favorite things cactus and die cut them out. I then laid out the scene and added the TT. sentiment. I added some clear Nuvo drops to the scarf dots and llama blanket dazzles.  I love this card.

Our theme for this week is

 ANIMALS ... ANY ANIMAL

 

 

I love this stamp and have used it a lot over the years. I wanted to do a cool water looking background... So I grabbed this OLD wood block stamp from Embossing arts company. I stamped it on Bristol card stock. I then used Zig markers to color and used a paint brush move the color around. I did the same to the background water look. I used another old wood stamp from Rubber seed which is the grass and I used Stampin up ink for the grass color. I also used a SU sentiment. I added some sequins and glossy accents for the water bubbles, lips and eyes.

We're back with a new challenge at

Sunny Day Crafting and our theme is

ANIMALS... ANY ANIMAL

 

 

Todays card I used a small hedgehog and stump from Sugar Peas.. The larger porcupine/hedgehog is from Your next stamp. I first started by using a balloon stencil that I created by die cutting a bunch of balloon dies on x-ray film. I used Simon Says inks to create the colors. I added strings to some of the balloons. I think next time I will add the strings as I go along so that they are not so out in your face. When I was done I had a big ink smudges on the lower white area (I'm left handed so I hold the stencil down with my right hand and the ink transferred from the stencil).. I tried to erase them but they just wouldn't go so I used Reverse Confetti die and cut the bottom off. I am really glad that happened cause I like the look it gives.. I colored the images with copics and added some grass to ground the image. I stamped the Happy birthday which is by Concord and 9th.

I used an OLD OLD stamp.. this is from Inkadinkado. I stamped the image and the sentiment is from Tech. Tuesday on to water color paper. I then used Ranger / Stampin up re-inkers and painted the frog and water background. I used sequins and then added a drop of glossy accents inside the sequins and on the frogs eyes.  Pretty simple card.

Welcome back to another fun challenge at Sunny Day Crafting #26

We have a new challenge for you the theme is

ANIMALS... ANY ANIMAL

This challenge over at Sunny Day Crafting will run till July 14th.

Starting July 15th we will be a monthly challenge and our challenges will be any ANY ANIMALS and you can enter up to 3 times.. I hope you will join us in this change.

 

For my card I used Gerda Steiner squirrels and acorn and Tech. Tuesday sentiment and another acorn. The balloons are from My favorite things.. I started by laying out the images and then using Ranger inks create the ground and sky with my templates I created. I then used Mission watercolors and painted in the images and cut them out with their dies. For the Yippeeh!! I used Simon says speech bubble. I then stamped the birthday sentiment and used Stampin up die. I then laid out the images. I went over the balloons with Spectrum Noir sparkle pen.

We have a new challenge at Sunny Day Crafting #25

and the theme is ANIMALS... ANY ANIMAL

(we are changing our theme for the rest of the year to be any animal.. so lets break out those fun animal images and play along..)

 

 

I wanted to create a card with giraffes so I chose My favorite things giraffes.. and I used the bird from Tech. Tuesday.. I stamped the giraffes and sentiment and leaves and colored with copics. I then decided I needed something else so that is when the bird came in. So I did one above the lettering and then one on the giraffes back. I used some Ranger ink and a brush to give some blue to the sky. I used Rubber seed grass stamp and some Stampin up ink. I then used a copic pen and added some brown for the ground and a few more blades of grass.

Welcome back to a new challenge at Sunny Day Crafting #24 We have a new theme for you.. SEASHORE ANIMALS

 

 

I wanted to use this bird with the long legs from Tech. Tues. and the seagulls from My favorite things.. I thought the sentiment coming out for the TT bird was calling to the seagulls and they turn around like what's up..  I started by painting the background sand and ocean with Mission watercolors. I then stamped the images on watercolor paper and using Mission paint I painted them. I cut them out with dies. I used a Lawn Fawn crab. The sentiment I cut using Simon Says speech bubble. I hope you find time to play along.

We have another challenge at

Sunny Day Crafting #23 and our

theme this week is TIGERS

 

 

I was looking for a tiger stamp cause I don't remember having one. I then remembered the Lunar set from Mama Elephant and it having small baby animals and one of those being a tiger. woohoo.

I then found this fun designer paper and I used Simon says stitched circle die and cut three circles. I used Concord and 9th and stamped the sentiment above. I used Paper trey ink for the congratulations. I used a piece of brown behind the images and embossed with dot folder. I colored the images with copics. I thought it made a cute baby card.

Hello everyone..  Are you ready for June.. I know I am but I wish it would last a couple of months vs. just one month.. Only cause the months just seem to be going by so fast as I get older..

We are back with another

challenge at Sunny Day Crafting #22

Our theme for this week is PIGS

 

I started by creating the kraft using a Reverse Confetti curve die. I then added clouds to the white using my cloud template. Once those were done I then used My favorite things pig stamp and I though this single pig holding the flower would be a great look. I chose the sentiment from the same set and just curved it so it went with the cut curve. I colored the images with Prisma colored pencils and using the dies cut them out. I then used Lawn Fawn grass die and Quick Quote scrap and cut the grass. I layered all the elements together.

We're back with another fun challenge at

Sunny Day Crafting #21

and the theme for this week is UNICORN

  

 

 

I just used this image a few months ago for magical theme but didn't know this theme would be unicorn this week so since I don't have another unicorn.. I am using it again.. That's good cause I like that my stamps get used more than once.

I started by stamping this image then used Prisma colored pencils and rainbow colors. I used Stampin Up stitched circle die and adhered to the maroon card stock. I used Simon Says speech bubble and stamped the sentiment and Ranger ink for the stars.  I had some left over MFT stars from the outer space card so added them to the card they were colored with Mission water color paints. I went over the rainbow colors with Spectrum Noir sparkle pen and the stars.

 Sunny Day Crafting #20  ?

 I hope so cause we have a fun theme HORSES

 

I have so many stamps but boy I had to dig for a horse stamp.. I almost used a unicorn and just cut the horn off.. LOL.  I think it would of worked but looking at my shelves of wooden stamps I found this image. I have no idea who it's by cause that was when I just bought rubber and mounted them myself. 
I stamped the image with Stampin up ink. I then used the My favorite things stitch die and cut it out. I used my dry wall tape  as a stencil and added blue Ranger ink for the background texture. I found a sentiment from Tech. Tues. and more SU ink. I added the horse piece but it looked plain so I used Simon Says feather dies and some paint chip pieces and a scrap of paper and tied with twine and added this to the bottom.  This is pretty much and easy peasy card to make.

Sunny Day Crafting #19

today's theme is COWS

 

 

I have two cow stamps and it was hard to figure which to use. I knew I wanted this card to be top fold so I first did the ground blending with Ranger inks and the sky with Ranger inks and both with my templates. I used a scrap of Quick quote wood grain paper and Taylored Expressions fence die.. So once I had those done I laid each cow down to see how they would fit. The first cow was a side profile which took up a lot of the card ground area.. So I decided to use this My favorite things front view cow, water trough and chick.. I used Tech. Tues. flower and sentiment. I colored the images with copics and die cut them out.. I wanted the  field full of flowers so I added quite a few. I loved the little chicks so added one to the rim of the trough and top of the fence. The cow is darling. We live in the country but we don't have any animals other than our two hair baby dogs.. But our neighbors field is next to ours and he has his cows over there and I just love looking and watching them. The cute little babies and how they just jump/hop around. So cute. We get to enjoy with out the responsibility of managing them.

I just got this stamp set from my April - Simon Says kit of the month and I knew I had to use it for this card. I heat embossed the images then used Zig markers and water to color the images and background. I used some sequins and Nuvo drops. I had this dragonfly on my desk and thought it would be a nice touch to the card.

We're back with another challenge for you at

 Sunny Day Crafting #17 and the theme is

DUCK

 

 

As soon as I saw this theme was duck I knew I would use this fun image from Your Next Stamp. I stamped the image on water color paper and painted with my Mission paints then fussy cut the image out. I then stamped with Versa Mark the Stampin up dots all over the background. I took a small strip of Stamping UP paper and adhered to the bottom and then added the cut duck. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of scrap paper and used the My Favorite Things speech die. I really kept this card CAS.

Welcome back to another fun challenge at Sunny Day Crafting #16

Our theme for this week is BUGS & INSECTS

 

 

Last month I watched a video that Gina K did for Simon Says. She embossed an image and then used Oxide inks and blended the background and added color to the flowers with the oxide as I did the blue and yellow flowers. When she was done she took a small brush dipped in water and went around the embossed part of the image which lifts the ink off of the embossing and some out of the flower. Then when it's dry you take a colored pencil I used Fabre Castell in a color that is close to the Ranger ink color... and add just a little pencil to the shading part then use Gamsol to spread the color out.. So that is what I did. I added the citron twist to the crocus but didn't like the look so I took a purple pencil and added color. Then I stamped and die cut the darling cute precious Pretty Pink Posh bees. I colored them with copics. I added Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the wings. I added the bees and some gems. The flowers and sentiment is from Simon Says.

our theme this week is BUNNIES

 

 

Ok so I know it's after Easter but I just had too make this card. There's always next year right...

This fun stamp set is from Close to my heart.. I stamped the bunnies and then masked off the bunnies feet and then stamped the flowers a couple times across the card. I then took some Ranger ink and sponged in the grass and used Ranger ink and my cloud template for the sky. I colored the bunnies with Copics and used a white gel pen for the buttons on her dress. I used Taylored Expressions fence and added this across bottom of the card. I stamped the Tech. Tues. you're some bunny and Simon Says Happy Easter. I heat embossed this in white.
