We have a new challenge over at

Theme: G for Girlfriend

I don't have a Girlfriend words in my piles of stamps.. at least I couldn't find one. So I chose Besties because my girlfriend is my bestie.. We have so much fun together.  I used a piece from one of her Stampin up Pumpkin kit.. It's to hold a tag or gift card.. I used a SU embossing folder and then added the holder that I added some Taylor Expressions flowers I die cut from Scraps I added some My favorite things leaves cut from scraps. I added the Reverse Confetti Besties and Tech. Tues. words. I finished with some Diamond drills.

Hello and where did June go???

We have a new challenge over at

Alphabet challenge

Theme: F - feathers

I used a lot of scraps for this card. I dug out my Stampin up punch and created the owl and branches. I used Taylored Expressions and created the clouds and used Ranger in to color. I used Simon says feather die and finished with some punched SU flowers which I put a left over diamond in from my diamond paintings.. I added to a scrap of Quick Quote piece. I added the Sweet shoppe sentiment sticker.  I also used black diamonds for the eyes

Hello and hope you're having a great summer

We have a new challenge over at

Cardz 4 Galz #253

Theme:  Welcome Summer

I made this card for my best friend who retired . She loves the beach and goes out to our Washington Coast as much as they can and they vacation in Calif. So I wanted this to be a special card. I wrote the Retirement message inside. I did not want to mess up the front with a sentiment. I used Taylor Expression chairs, Ranger ink, Stampin up, I have arched dies?? the water and sand is an old rubber baby buggy bumper red rubber.  The background orange paper is scrap from Quick quote.  I used bleed proof white for the foamy water.

It's time for a new challenge over at

Alphabet challenge

Theme: Vintage

I remembered I had this set from Taylored Expressions and thought it would be perfect. I found colors I thought would look more vintage and stamped. I used My favorite things circle die and sent around the edges with Ranger ink. I didn't add any bling I wanted to keep it simple and vintage. 

Challenges:

As you like it - stamp or die/why? (I love stamps as I have so many and I find it easier to add a great background with stamps to highlight the focal image- most cards I make are with stamps unless the dt has a digi sponsor)

Welcome to another challenge over at

Theme: Faux or real stitching

I think I should of changed the background color vs. the tan background. It's doesn't do the card justice..

This card I made for my daughter who loves purple and the base is a deep purple from Stampin up. The image is what I stamped when I was at a friends house and I don't know the name of the image but it's beautiful I think it's a Gina K image . That's why I stamped it.. lol.. I colored with Copics. I used My favorite things stitch die and cut the image and the green. I heat embossed the Simon Says sentiments. I used Nuvo drops on the top sprig. I added Taylored Expressions gems for the center of the flower and Spectrum Noir glitter brush over the petals. I added some diamond drills for extra bling.  I know she will love it.. Her birthday is in February.

I'm the host this challenge so I chose:

Theme: Christmas 

I used Quick quote scraps and created my card. Love their dp's.  I had this sentiment and I don't know who it's from.. I heat embossed it. The birds are a die I cut at my friends house. I don't know who they are by but love them. I should of die cut a lot more.. I may have to borrow it or find out who it's from and buy it.. I added a little color with Ranger inks. I added the eyes that are tiny gems from Taylored Expressions. This was a fun simple card with a festive flair.

Theme: Spooky Halloween

I kinda kept this card simple. I stamped the Hook line and inker image and using gray copics added a little shading. I used Spellbinder die and cut the circle and the Newtons nook sentiment. I die cut the spider web and spiders out of scraps using Taylored Expressions dies. I added them to the card. and the image. I went over the web and spider and the background with Stickles.

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: Wheels

I used the VW van from Stampin and stamped on a scrap. I used copics to add a little color and then I cut out the windows. I added it to a piece of white paper and used a Spellbinder circle die. I added to this cool DP that reminded me of the 60 / 70's and I punched out some Stampin up flowers and added. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions and I used a Tech. Tues. die. I added diamond drills left over from Diamond paintings I am doing to the center of the flowers..

I dug through my Christmas papers and found this cute piece. So I used my Taylored expressions images and stamped them and the sentiment. I colored with copics. I used Spectrum on the snow ground, hat trim and ball.  I added a little ribbon banners.

Letter: Y for yesteryears / retro-vintage

I love this great stamp set from Taylored Expressions.. It's perfect for the Retro / yesteryear.. I used Stampin up ink for the peace symbols and stamped the VW and colored with copics. I stamped the sentiment from the set. I added my clouds with Ranger ink. I added a strip of Stampin up dp. I used Lawn Fawn ILUVU on the plate area.

It's a new year and so many birthdays ahead. 

I haven't used the stamp set from Taylored Expressions for a long time and thought now would be a good time. I stamped and colored with copics. I added a gem to the top of the hat and added Spectrum Noir sparkle brush to the balloon. Used My favorite things die and cut out the image an brown behind. I added to a scrap of designer paper and then added the sentiments that came in the set. I went around the edges with Quick quote ink

I kinda got this idea from You tube - Ralph Tyndall. I created the background using Ranger inks. I then took the birch tree die from Taylored Expressions and added it over the background, I die cut the brown deer from Simon says and using Ranger ink to the sides. the other deer was an extra I got from a friend, I took the SS die wreath and added to the ground using scraps.

For my card I decided to create a baby card. I have a friend who is due with her first baby in 2 months.. I just thought it would be fun and cute.  I colored the image with copics. I fussy cut the image out. I used a My favorite things die and cut the circle out and used a piece of scrap for the rug/grounding area. I added the image to some DCWV designer paper and heat embossed the Taylored Expressions sentiment. I used a Tech. Tues. die to cut the sentiment out and added a little heart. I went over the dragon with some Spectrum Noir sparkle brush.

Our theme is

MAKE US SMILE

For this card card I I used Ranger ink and lightly colored the circle then using a Stampin up bubbles I added a row. I stamped the Taylored Expressions fish and colored with copics. I had these awesome glass bubbles for my diamond paintings and used a few for actual bubbles from the fish. I added to a piece of DCWV dp which I thought looked like under water foilage.. I then took glitter paper and Spellbinder fish hook and added to a piece of SU cording then stamped the TE sentiments and stamped the SU starfish.. Love the sentiment.

Hello

We have a new challenge over at

Alphabet challenge.. 

Our letter this challenge is 

V - for VELLUM

I like vellum but I have issues with not being able to adhere it down .. I do have some vellum tape that you just put on the back and burnish so that the adhesive stays.. but being there's little texture to the vellum I find it hard to even get the it to stay.. of course the vellum tape is over 20 yrs. old.. lol that could be an issue. But the little placement of the left over diamond painting drills kinda help it stay along with the tape.  I used a scrap of DCWV paper and then used Stampin up thick vellum and Taylored Expressions leaf dies. The sentiment is heat embossed and from Stampin up along with the die. Thought great for a birthday, new job, some sort of accomplishment in life.

November 2022

Every year a group of 12 of us each get a month and we make 12 pages, usually the same for that month. I got November. So I made 12 of these pages. My dear friend comes over after she's collected the other months and she uses my Binding machine from Taylored Expressions and  put them all together..

We get an awesome year of crafty happiness every month.  

I used Stampin up gray card stock, and embossing folder by Sizzix. I stamped the Stampin Up flower and colored with copics. I die cut the flowers behind with scraps. I added some twine, the sentiment is from Tech. Tues. and die cut with SU. die. I added the calendar backed with SU card stock and finished with a gem.

BOO - EEK - Make My Monday #186

Our theme is

SPOOKY HALLOWEEN or 

ORANGE / PURPLE / BLACK

For my card I dug into my scrap box and pulled out different orange/purple looking scraps. I cut into strips and then adhered them to a scrap and cut the piece down. Now I was wondering what to add to the front. digging through my dies I saw this spider web and thought ok perfect. The web and spiders are from Taylored Expressions. I added them and added Spectrum Noir sparkle brush to the spiders and few places on the web.. you know that dewy glisten that webs have.. I used Lil inker die for the letters and did BOO and EEK  which I am sure what the spider says BOO and I end up saying EEK

It's a new month so a new challenge over at

Sparkles Christmas Challenge #141

Our theme this month is

HOLLY or IVY

I love this holly die from Taylored Expressions.. I've had it for years and seldom use it. But the theme being Holly or Ivy was perfect .. I die cut it out of a piece of Stampin up card stock. I used a copic pen to give a little depth to the leaves. I am a diamond painter and so I have millions of extra drills left over from my kits. So I found this nice red diamonds (they are out of resin) and I added them to the berry part of the die. I stamped the Simon Says sentiment and added some Quick Quote chalk in to distress the edges and added it  with some foam dots to keep it above the drills.

Our theme this challenge is

AUTUMN FLORA/FAUNA

For my card I took down my Hero Arts fall looking red rubber stamps and using Ranger ink I stamped the card base all over. I then took the Tech. Tues. sentiment and using Paper Trey Ink die cut it out. I took Stampin up heavy vellum and Simon Says embossing power and smushed the edges and embossed then added the sentiment piece and added to the card. I used some left over diamond painting drills to add bling to the card. I used the Taylored Expressions squirrel die and a scrap of Quick Quote dp added this to the card and a diamond painting drill for the eye.
