Sending you our thoughts - Always Fun Challenge #110

Monday May 13, 2019

Hello back to my bog..
we have a new challenge.
Our them for this challenge is USE AN EMBOSSING FOLDER

I knew as soon as I saw the challenge was EMBOSSING FOLDER what I was going to use.. This awesome Sizzix embossing folder that came in Simon Says monthly kit box some months back.. I used Stampin up gray cardstock and spritzed it with water then ran it through my Vagabond machine. Oh the texture is so beautiful. I then used Hero Arts prayers die and sentiments. I heat embossed the white words and layered the prayers 4 times. I know I need to make sympathy cards but they are hard to make not knowing what to add for the background or focal point but I think this works great. I will be using this embossing folder more. I love the look of it.

I want you to be as happy - Coffee Lovers Day 8

Friday May 10, 2019

I have a card to share that I am entering in the hop

Ok I dreamt about this card.  So I created it. I think this turned out just as my dream showed.
I used Mission Gold water colors and painted the background on watercolor paper. I then stamped the My favorite things sentiment and I didn't ink up the "chip" word and used Sugar Pea Designs "Latte" in place of the "chip".. I then used Paper Trey ink wood grain and Stampin Up ink and stamped over the sentiment. I then used scraps from Quick Quote and Stamp Simply die to create the coffee cup and used Ranger ink and colored a scrap and cut out the handle. I stamped the MFT seagull and colored it with copics. I stamped the Gerda Steiner coffee cup and colored with copics and used white gel pen to give dots. I fussy cut this out. I then added all to the watercolor piece... I love it and laughed as I was putting it all together.

Cute just got cuter - Colour Crazy Challenge #18

Friday May 10, 2019

Hello.. I am back to share my card I made for the challenge
going on over at Colour Crazy Challenge #18
Our theme is always ANYTHING GOES

Our sponsor for this challenge is All Dressed Up

This is my card using the image called Cute got cuter.. He is a cutie for sure. I have three babies and they are so precious. A month ago one of my little ones had a bladder stone removed that was the size of a dime. Now she is only a 9 lb. dog so we're not talking about a big dog. The dr. said it had spikes on it so would never dissolve with meds so surgery was needed. She's doing fine now but she was sure slow moving for a few days after getting her home..
Anyway back to my card. I colored the image with copics. I then used My favorite things stitch die. For the background I used Kraft and Newton's nook paw print stencil and Ranger ink. I then added the ribbon and image. I found some wooden hearts and went over them with a copic and Nuvo glitter pen.

Challenges:
Simon work it Wednesday  - national pet day
The crafters café #218 - create own background
