New Release at Catch the bug - GIRL WITH BIG HEART

 

 

This is the fun card I made using the image Girl with big heart.. I had to add more hearts besides the one she is holding.. I have this large heart die panel from Simon says and cut this out. (Gee wish I would of done it last week when I made the shaker card.. all those tiny hearts would of been nice in it.)  But I saved  them for a future shaker card.  I also had some nice red card stock so cut out some hearts with my favorite things dies and stamped some cute sentiments from Simon says on each and on the heart she is holding.

Good morning and welcome to another challenge from Catch the bug

Today starts another challenge for Sunday Stella Sketch / SSS303

 

This is the sketch for you to follow SSS 303.. Have fun and make your card and post to the CTB blog

I used a image like this one on yesterdays card but they are different ... believe me. This one has the heart and they are face to face, the one yesterday was with more flowers and  they were not as close.

This is my card using the sketch above.  I decided with Valentines day just around the corner this would be a perfect card for someone to give.. I chose to use the ladybug trio (I used image #2)  and hearts in place of the circles for the additional sketch embellishment.. I think I should of darkened the edges of the bottom heart and not added the stickles to the top heart.. Not sure that I like the effect that it gives.  I used an old DOTS stamp for the sentiment and it just fit on the heart. I colored the image in copics.  Oh the background on the kraft is SU wheel called so swirly.. I like the additional look it gives the overall card.   I hope I inspired you to play along over at CTB

Welcome to the first challenge for February at Catch the bug which is ANYTHING GOES

 

 

This is my card for the ATG's.. My image is ladybug block trio.. I used #2  I love ladybugs and in fact have a few tattoos of them.. I have a co worker who wanted a birthday card with ladybugs on it so I made this for her to give to her MIL.  I took a kraft card and some ss ink kraft looking and 4 different HAPPY stamps and just repeated the HAPPY allover. Then colored the image and layered it on some red. I took a black dotted ribbon and red and put them together and tied a know and trimmed it and added it below the image. I die cut the Birthday out of the same red behind the ladybug image and adhered it down. I colored the image in copics. Fun happy card.

Free Friday at Catch the bug VALENTINE BEAR

 

 

This is the fun image. Look at that look.. I let the X's and O's speak the sentiment.. LOL.  fun huh. Plus I used real red su, I hardly use but embossing or black in on my cards. It was fun breaking out the colors.  I made the banner along the top and used foam tape behind the stars and hearts, it gives a nice look to the overall card. I like making banners lately. I left the kraft blank because I thought it would take away from the bear and add too much to the card. I am happy with the banner and the bottom border.

 I chose to use the image Cheese burger ants.. Cute huh?? I love their images and the ants are so cute.. I added some ants coming onto the gingham table cloth.. trying to get their share of the burger.. I used the circle sentiment for my image. I know that Sweet 7 is closing and I think it's the store along with the blog. The owner already offered to sponsor us so we are using the images she provided.
I was not sure what to do so kept it quite simple. Of course with Valentine's day right around the corner and I am seeing so many banners on different blogs, I thought I would just keep this simple. I do like how it came out. Love and hearts says it all.

Catch the bug / Bugaboo NEW RELEASE - MIS KIDZ

 

 

This is the new release at Bugaboo, it's MIS KIDZ.. and my first attempt at a shaker card.. I guess I could of picked a simpler image to try to do this but I had it in my mind to make a shaker card so I  did. I fussy cut around different areas and went to work from there to make it a shaker. I kind of goobered with the black copic in the sentiment corner where it bled.. But I was not about to re do. I always try to go around the cut images no matter what image I use with a black copic so it cleans up the edge. I think it gives a better finish.. until you let the tip sit on the edge too long and it bleeds.. bummer. Anyhow it was fun making this card. I cut out some X - O's using the small alphabet die from Lil Inker. I added some micro beads and sequins.  In the sentiment area I used Stazon black and stamped the sentiment. it's kind a hard to see so there is a closer look below. I used glitter on two heart balloons, white gel pen on two others and wink of stella on the reds balloons.  I'd do another shaker card for sure.. OH BY THE WAY the colorful background paper is water color paper and some H2O's. I love the color and shine that the H2O's give. I have been playing with some water color papers and different techniques. I have about 6 or so  done for up coming cards.

This is challenge #68 and as always it's ANYTHING GOES but INCLUDE A HEART on your project.

 

This is my card for the challenge using image Stardust and Pumpkin 7   for this challenge you need to use a heart.. well I have this awesome frame with stamped image on it which has hearts on it.. I also added some stamped hearts and also notice the hearts on the image. How perfect and cute is that..
I decided to make this a birthday card.  I hope you get to play along and remember Fitztown is now a month long challenge and always ATG with a different option added.
