Saturday theme at Catch the bug is PINK.. Lets see PINK

I decided to use the image Pink ribbon gal Twyla

as she fit the pink theme quite well and it's always good to remember the cause. With different combine fun drives going on at work and charities being recognized I thought this card would be a good reminder to contribute.  I added some glossy accents to the heart but it's kind of hard to see and it was fun to use the fiskar die which I have not used in years. It kind of reminded me of the ribbon. It's on the pink paper. I used a word background stamp with versa mark but it's really hard to see the effect.

 Being on the design team for Catch the bug I decided to use a digi that I have. I love this little cat and the fun look and I knew the paper I wanted to use so this just cracked me up. I thought it looked like the cat was trying to scare the pumpkin and the spiders were a fun touch to. I have a strange sense of humor and it just made me laugh.

Catch the bug - World Smile Day

Catch the bug is celebrating on Humor Wednesday - World Smile Day.

I hope you put your smile on today.. and every day.  I am on the phones most of the day and being in customer service you get all sorts of calls. I try to smile as I talk on the phone, it does carry over to the listener. It can change their mood and make them more cheerful you can hear it in their voice if it's in yours. Now don't get me wrong there are those that you just have a hard time dealing with so I try to be as cheerful as possible and grit my teeth, which kind of makes a smile if you grit hard enough..lol.  Put your smile on.  :)

 

I used AKV bd party as they all had smiles and just made for a happy card.

Welcome to Paper Pretties #279 - theme this week is HALLOWEEN CARD..

I chose to use an old digi by Fawn called "someone is watching you"  I decided to kind of make a night scene and so did some gray clouds which I thought would make the pumpkin pop. I also had in the paper pad a sheet of paper with a bunch of those eyes and I circled punch it out and placed it on an orange button and tied it to this shiny black ribbon. I don't often do Halloween cards but I do like this one. I also use the wink of Stella glitter pen in the eye's /mouth of the pumpkin and it looks in real life like it's got a glow.

Catch the bug New Release - Happy Birthday

Catch the bug New Release is WIZARD  He kind of looks like he is concentrating quite hard on that wish for...... a Happy Birthday of course.. I decided to make him into a happy birthday card. I am loving the colors, love purple and the teal/yellow really helped the colors stand out. I used those pre-cut stars that I have a million of and never use. I thought this gave a nice shiny touch to the card.

Catch the bug Free Friday gives you AKV Witch

Isn't she funny? I said earlier in the week I am not into Halloween cards so I though I would make this a lift it up card. To make that special someone who needs a lift/laugh kind of forget their problem even if its only for a little while. I would sure smile and feel better if I got this during a down time.

She is free so I hope you get over and pick her up. Catch the bug tries to get the free image loaded in time for you to get it, but sometimes life gets in the way and they are a little late. So if the image is not there please check back again.

Oh boy is it getting cold and dark out. I am not a fan of this weather especially when I have to be out in it. If I was home with my fire place going, warm comfy cloths and my dog by my side I might not mind it.  I do love this time of year when I can craft and use some of my favorite colors - which just don't work for summer or spring. I might stretch them and make them work but fall seems to go better with green, purple and orange. AND that is the challenge for Paper Pretties #278 - color challenge ORANGE, PURPLE AND GREEN. 

I used Return of cluck for my fun image. I am not much for Halloween cards which would work great with the colors so decided to make a fun friendly card.
