 My card for the sketch. I did a dry embossing technique I saw on someones blog .. sorry I don't remember who's.. it's been a long long time..it's where you take the embossing folder and rub ink on the inside top design, carefully put in your card front and close it, then run through your favorite embossing machine. When you remove it you have a wonderful design with the ink giving a additional color to your design.

I love getting more Christmas cards done and early. I just have to remember to mail them..
I used the "winter bird" digi from Catch the bug. I really like the yellows, greens and reds. Nice bright colors.

Today we have HUNTING NUT as the free image. I had some scraps of papers on my desk which I had used for other cards and a calendar page I made. I thought hum... the way they were just laying around though I'll make a background out of them so I just sized, fitted and got the look I wanted and then cut the cute little hunting nut out using my spellbinder die and colored him. I needed a sentiment and remembered I just received a cute "falling for you" stamp set from Taylored Expression so I took the "nuts about you" and punched it out using two different size circle. I am not a hunter but live in the country and there are a lot of hunter nuts around this time of year. So I probably can sell it at our little store. :)

Catch the bug - new release Mr. Mrs Clause

Catch the bug http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/ has a new release and this is Mr. Mrs. Clause. I know Jodie has other images too. Check out the new images over at CTB.

 

I like this is a cute couple and just right for Christmas cards and love that Mrs. Clause is included with Santa.. I used some designer paper with holiday/ Santa wording on the paper and the chevron dies to dress up the background.  I also like that another Christmas card is made.. it's a win win situation..

It's my first day back to work since my three surgeries and I have been off work since Aug. 23, 2012. (and a month since the last one) I just hope I can stay awake all day..LOL  wish me luck.

I chose to use a re-released image and words - this is Ian Laurent.. I added stickers for the Thank you part.. I like how they go along with the color scheme I chose.. and this was an afterthought to add the letter stickers.. forgetting it was to be a Thank You card.. duh!

I chose to use the sock monkey digi by Catch the bug.. He's got a cute little tail and I love this glittered animal paper that has a darling monkey on it (plus pigs and part of an elephant). I have a sock monkey that my grandma made many many years ago. I love him. I thought this card would be cute for a birthday card no matter what age and or just a friendship card.
