Theme: Hobbies

Sewing is a great hobby. I use to sew cloths when the kids were younger. I've made many quilts and I just gave my daughter all of my fabrics. There were bags and bags full beautiful material. 

I never made a bow tie but it would be fun to try to create in my younger years. 

I have had many hobbies over the years.. now it's diamond painting and still creating cards. 

This card was created with Stampin up products.

Alphabet challenge - X - Hoping your day is full of love

Hello

We have a new challenge over at

Alphabet challenge 

Theme:  our letter this challenge is X - for x-ray  use black and white 

I found this DCWV piece and so just added it to a black card base. I have a stamp from Stampin up that has a sheet of sentiments and the die that cuts them all at one tine . It sure saves time when you can stamp and cut a bunch. I chose this sentiment and added a few diamond drills for an added touch.

Theme: A splash of green

This card was in a Stampin up Pumpkin kit.. It was fun to put together. (there were other cards to create in the kit) The only think I stamped with the to Celebrate message.. the rest is already done. It's just a matter of punching out the Happy and adding the bling.. I like cards like this when you need a break from thinking and creating something from scratch.

I was visiting my Stampin up friend and created this card with her supplies.. We always have fun creating and I like crafting with her over at her house cause she doesn't like to color, so it gives me different looks. When I craft at home I usually end up coloring with copics.

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: Anything goes

I know it's kinda a winter card but some of us are still in the winter weather and I just thought this little guy needed to be used before I lost him. I stamped my friends snowman/person.. and I fussy cut it out and never used and as I was clearing my table I saw it and thought why not make it work... I love the ATG theme,, 

I stamped the Sheena design holly leaves around the card. I colored with copics. I added a little 
Ranger around the edge.. I then took the die cut arms and hat and the hat I used a white and silver pen and just doodled on it to make the ball tassel and the brim of the cap.. I used Ranger and a brush to give the snowman a little shading. I adhered the hat and arms. I found this Reverse confetti sentiment and stamped it and then added the snowman. I added this piece to a card base.

Any day is a good day for chocolate.. I love dark chocolate.. but any will be fine..

I created this fun card and just stamped the background with images and then added this awesome strip of colors.. it's a fun way to just use chocolate candy .. someone will love this card. I may need to add a candy bar to the card.

This was a fun card to make. The background paper is so colorful and I thought a solid piece of card stock and the sentiment with a ribbon would be enough. I backed the dsp with a piece of card stock and then added to the yellow base.

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: W - wild flowers

I love wild flowers.. I love picking them on walks.. Living out in the country we have snap dragons on back roads and other such wild flowers.. This kinda reminded me of some I picked or loved to look at and smell, making sure a bee wasn't close by. I stamped the green base with the same doily stamp that I did on the white piece...  I stamped and die cute the flowers and ribbon.. I thought it needed a comforting sentiment.

This is one of my favorite embossing folders.. I was thinking of what else can I emboss it on. I did the copper card stock and love how it came out.. the lights give it the rainbow colors as I was taking the photo. I didn't want to cover much so I kept the sentiment simple.

I love the colors on this card.. I've made other cards with this awesome paper. Love the colors in this piece of paper. I also love the oval dies with the holes and layers.. This was a fun card to create.. I added a few bling gems to the card.

We have a new challenge over at 

Sparkles Christmas #182

Theme: Snowman (or any snow person/gender)

I had fun creating this card. I had a star die from Simon says and I cut it out and then took a circle and die cut to size to work with the wreath. I wanted the stars behind to stand out so I took a watercolored piece that was left over from a project and smeared Wink of stella over it and die cut and added behind the start piece.. Oh I used Ranger ink and blended the sky then added the star piece to the watercolor piece.

I die cut the Simon says wreath out of a scrap and then used Paper trey ink holly dies and die cut a bunch in white. Then used Ranger to color.. Added them around wreath. I colored the cardinal with Ranger and added it. The snowperson is Gerda Steiner and I colored with copics and fussy cut out and added to the wreath.. 

I didn't want a plain background so I used a Sizzix embossing folder and the birch tree.  I had these sentiments from Stampin up already done so I grabbed one I thought was good as the snowperson looks like it's looking at the bird.. 

I am pleased with how it came out.

Oh I love this card.. This is a fun stamp set and the different colors make it work. This can be a CAS card.. I did a simple happy birthday sentiment, but a sympathy would work or any sentiment.. You could probably change colors to more masculine colors / fall colors for that special guy

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: Wings (butterflies / birds / fairies

I created this card with scraps.. I had a piece of acetate left on my desk from last month. So since it's hard to lose since it's clear I thought lets use for this card.  I cut strips of designer paper and adhered diagonally and then turned over and cut the over hanging pieces off. I added to a die cut  card piece with a few foam strips behind the strips to hide them. And added this to a card base the same color. I added the foil color butterfly that was die cut out.  I opted to not add a sentiment cause I didn't want to take away from the front beauty.

Theme: Monochrome colors

I had a friend over and I was making cards for design teams I am on and she was just using my stamps and papers and creating. She made a card with this old red rubber Stampin up set.. And I said oh wow I need to create a card and dug through my scrap box (it's big) and found these scraps. Now to find a card base with that color.. found it. so I stamped and fussy cut the flowers and leaves. I used a zig zag die for the steam and used the Simon Says smile die which I stacked to make it sturdy.. I really like how it came out.

For my card the white background I stamped the leaves and sentiment, then used an embossing folder and layered it on to the purple background. I then stamped and die cut one of the leaves like the background, and two more in green card stock. I stamped and die cut the flower. I then added to a white card base. I added a few embellishments

Theme: Hugs and Kisses

This was a fun card to create. I did a different scene and hated it so a day later I redid the scene and like it so much more. I used Ranger ink and my cloud template to create the sky. I stamped the My favorite thing pigs and flowers and colored with copics. I die cut the grass (MFT) from scraps. I saw this XOXO stamp from Simon Says and it had the years as one stamp so I used those. I then created the scene. I layered it on a piece of deep purple card stock and then a piece of DCWV dp
