Theme: Summer holiday (for us in the USA - that's vacation)

I love going to the beach, any water .. I would take a nice river or lak, but beach / ocean is my choice.. I die cut the sea gulls and colored with copics. I took out of the die cut area and then created the land, water and sky using my templates I created using x-ray film.. Then stamped the SU sentiment and added the sea gulls back in the area I cut them out of using foam squares to give height.. I layered on some brown card stock.

Theme: Embossing - wet or dry

I had fun creating this card.. Well I do for most of my cards.. I used the Stampin up embossing folder and then stamped the Stampin up flowers and colored with copics. I added twine and a SU punch heart that I embossed and swiped with gold ink. I added the sentiment and used Tech Tues banner die.

Theme: G for Girlfriend

I don't have a Girlfriend words in my piles of stamps.. at least I couldn't find one. So I chose Besties because my girlfriend is my bestie.. We have so much fun together.  I used a piece from one of her Stampin up Pumpkin kit.. It's to hold a tag or gift card.. I used a SU embossing folder and then added the holder that I added some Taylor Expressions flowers I die cut from Scraps I added some My favorite things leaves cut from scraps. I added the Reverse Confetti Besties and Tech. Tues. words. I finished with some Diamond drills.

It's my brothers birthday so Happy Birthday to him... although he will probably never see my blog.. lol

It's time for a new challenge over at

Cardz 4 Galz #254

Theme: Wedding or anniversary

Perfect timing for this challenge as my grandson is getting married in August. So this is the card I created. The papers are stampin up and then I needed something for the front so I stamped Simon Says image and colored with copics.. I had a trial getting the colors to not be so bright but I remember Kelly Taylor (I watch on YT and love her coloring, style and fun story time) she says to use gray to tone it down and it worked. I am really pleased and glad I remembered her mentioning to do it.  I stamped the Mr. and Mrs. on front and added some diamond drills. I used a crop a dial to do the corners.

Ram Stamps

I am using the image Letter to Santa from Ram stamps.. I colored with copics and used a My favorite things die to cut out and backed with the pink. I added to some paper I forgot I had in another closet as I was looking for something else and never found... but found this cool piece. It was a 12x12 which I cut down to 6x6 so I have other chances to use it.  I saw this sentiment from Simon says that could be great for the person receiving it vs. Santa receiving it.  I heat embossed it. I added some diamond drills so it looks like snow.

I made this quite awhile ago but didn't post it as I got the theme wrong when I thought it was getting posted. Glad I caught it before I posted it..  I did heat embossed the Comotion stamp and then using water colors from Mission gold created the colors then went with the Paul Reuban metallic paints to add shimmer, I wish you could see it in person. I added some diamond drills left over from my diamond paintings.. I added the sentiment.

Theme: Anything goes / Gate fold card

I used Stampin up products.. This is a gate fold with one side being not as wide.. I like this fun technique for the front.. It's just squares folded and added to create the zig zag.. cool look and nice to see the other side of the designer paper. Added a little sentiment to the front..

Hello and wow it's July tomorrow

Summer is in full swing

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: Summer fun

What better fun than eating ice cream.. when you're a senior citizen it's a favorite summer treat.. but who am I kidding we eat ice cream all year. We have a favorite ice cream shop in town and a few out of town. lol..  I created this card using Stampin up products. The clear between the green is clear plastic. so it's a full front and I guess you could make the card without the clear plastic but this one has it. I love the colors although it's not a favorite flavor ice cream.. give me coffee flavors, or choco. chip mint. in a waffle cone.. I usually stack two flavors..

Hello and where did June go???

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: F - feathers

I used a lot of scraps for this card. I dug out my Stampin up punch and created the owl and branches. I used Taylored Expressions and created the clouds and used Ranger in to color. I used Simon says feather die and finished with some punched SU flowers which I put a left over diamond in from my diamond paintings.. I added to a scrap of Quick Quote piece. I added the Sweet shoppe sentiment sticker.  I also used black diamonds for the eyes

Hello and hope you're having a great summer

We have a new challenge over at

Theme:  Welcome Summer

I made this card for my best friend who retired . She loves the beach and goes out to our Washington Coast as much as they can and they vacation in Calif. So I wanted this to be a special card. I wrote the Retirement message inside. I did not want to mess up the front with a sentiment. I used Taylor Expression chairs, Ranger ink, Stampin up, I have arched dies?? the water and sand is an old rubber baby buggy bumper red rubber.  The background orange paper is scrap from Quick quote.  I used bleed proof white for the foamy water.

Theme: Checks or Plaids

I dug through scraps and found this cool plaid.. funny when I look through my paper pads I always find plaids but when I NEED to make a card with plaids  ---- can I find one NO.. I dug through my scraps. 

I used the Stampin Up punch for the bird and leaves.. I used another SU die for the other leaf. I layered the punch pieces just to make them a little more sturdy. I added to the plaid. I added a diamond drill for the eye and a few blue ones to the card. I stamped the sentiment.

I used Stampin up products. I found this pretty green dp and stamped some leaves and then stamped the sentiment on a scallop green card stock piece. I stamped the butterfly and used the scallop dies to cut out and layer. I add this to the black card stock base.

Theme: E - embossing / wet or dry

I was digging though some die images I had already done a long time ago.. I saw these flowers and thought I better use them while I know they are there now.. lol.  I took a piece of scrap and a small Stampin up folder and ran it through. I then added the flowers together and laid them out I needed a vertical sentiment so found this one. I stamped but it looked a little off (it's a red rubber stamp) so I stamped on a piece of card stock and used Tech. Tues. banner die.

I created the easel card and inside I stamped the Hampton stamps fish and colored with copics. I added the Sweet shoppe sticker and I really like how this came out .. I love all the colors.

I am using the image Home brew from Dr. Digi.. I gave him a ice cream float vs. a beer.. I colored him with copics and added a few dots to his sweater vest with a gel pen.  I used Lil inker stitch die and added him to a piece of My minds eye designer paper..
