Again we are our own sponsor and so I chose to do another Journal page for my 2016 Journal.

I am using the Eureka stamp .. I have so many Eureka wooden stamps and since I had this fun sentiment from Verse rubber stamps I thought this was perfect and it reminds me of my best friend Karen. She (we love green) so I colored her in the green dress and since we couldn't both be wearing green I chose purple, orange and green for my outfit.. those are some of my other favorite colors..

I layered it on some purple card stock and scrap of green then laminated the whole piece and punched my journal holes.. I hope you find time to play along. You have two weeks and it's anything goes plus a sentiment.

Tuesday means new release day at Bugaboo  /  Catch the bug

 

Today is Ladybug sunbonnet..  being a quilter I have done some sunbonnet sue applique so this was cool doing the card using a sunbonnet image.

 

This is my card using the Ladybug sunbonnet image. I made this a friendship anything card but there are a lot of sentiments that could go with this fun image. I really like the red contrast to the blue and the pops of orange. I had a pair of blue jean overalls in my younger days and loved them. They were so comfy. I wanted her to have the blue jean look and the background dp carry the blue jean feel. I hope you head over to the Catch the bug blog and see how the other design team members did their cards.

A quick card for a friend - live simply DREAM BIG....

I needed a quick card for a friend.. it was so quick that I did not even take time to use my good camera.. I used my cell phone to take the photo as I needed to get it to her asasp..  I LOVE THIS CARD... I used recollection paper cardstock for the base. I had a paper pad that came in my April Simon Says club kit and so I cut off part of it and adhered it to the card base. I had some pre cut dies so I used them to fill in the white space.. The flowers are Paper trey ink dies, and the leaves are Stampin up dies and all scrap cut.  No stamping on this card.. I love the look and hope it comes across ok. it's laying on a cushion and window light.. I don't think it's a bad photo considering its my phone.. LOL

I hope she enjoys it as much as I love it.
