This is my card using the image called Book Lover.. I am a book lover and I read quite often. I have a kindle and it's loaded. I have a computer room with book shelves loaded with books.. I had fun making this card.. If your wondering why the ribbon.. I probably shouldn't say but when I got the card together I wanted the Oh, Hello there (as it looks like she didn't know someone was there and looked up) so I stamped it... WITH OUT CLEANING THE OVER INKING FROM THE BLOCK.. oh man I was mad and sad. I did not want to color another image and so I added the ribbon and the hearts to cover the lines from the block.. You'd never know if I hadn't mentioned it.. huh?

It's a great time to start making Christmas cards so that is what I did.. It's less than 6 months away.. yikes.. you know how time flies so better start now and I have been seeing Christmas cards on a lot of blogs.. I chose to use the image called A bell for Christmas.. I really wanted to make it bright and colorful so used the awesome blue for the ribbon and against the terra cotta color bell looks awesome. I really like this image and will be using it again. It's Tuesday and at Bugaboo that means New Release day and you can see what the design team did with their image at Catch the bug..

 

This is the new release called Beach girlz.. She's got her beach bag and ready for some beach fun.  I was digging through some of my 6x6 paper pads and found this perfect designer paper from American crafts.. Complete with sentiment and little twirl windmills.. How awesome was that.  I just added some banner strips to the side and sequins. It worked out and made me want to get to the beach..

I watched a video Jennifer McGuire did on dies with open areas - floating die cut panels.. I liked the idea but did not want to do all the work it required and remembered I had a die that would kinka do the same thing.. I did adhere the turquoise piece down but you could have it the front of the card and put a white piece inside so it was see through. I have been itching to use more of the Botanical die set from stampin up and that is the flowers and leaves with scraps of paper I had laying around. It's just a bright fun card.

The sentiment would be good for an anniversary card, just because card.

 I am using the image called "Stella work - I like work" and the sentiment is from another Stella image.  I used some nice work dp behind the image because work can be nice.. but then I used the anchor paper because sometimes work feels like it weighs you down.. Kind of a love hate relationship.. but in 4 months I will be retired.. and loving it.

I got the pleasure to work with Dave the diver... LOL I loved making him come to life. I really wanted to use some watercolor but my ink from the printer would of ran and so I didn't even try it.. I surely wasn't going to cut him out.. so I made my own beach scene.. I laughed coloring him he is a hoot.. I had to give him some wild cloths. What do you think?? I am sure we have all seen someone like this at the beach in our life..

Just in time for those summer cards... reunions, just because, birthdays, 4th of July....

We have AKV BBQ

 

  This is my card using the new release image AKV BBQ... I love BBQ foods   The grill just makes the taste better. I am not much for hamburgers and will only eat them if its BBQ'd   I added some washi tape to the background and some white gel pen stripes to his apron.. I can almost smell the grill.. yumm what's for dinner?

What's up?

 I was just playing around in my craft room and decided to make a simple card. .. I had all sorts of sentiments go through my head and ended up choosing this one. What's Up?.. Those eyes have that look.. I kept the card simple and added some old metal brads. I have such a big stash of brads I really need to start using them more. I usually remember after I have the designer paper down and I don't like brads showing on the inside of the card. I know silly me.. but I remembered to add them before I adhered the dp down this time .. I think it would be a great card to send to a friend.

It's Saturday so we have another challenge at Catch the bug 

The theme for this week is BINGO so follow the bingo card below and play along

 

This is the image called Flower tea pot .. I chose to use the left side of the card.. Flower - ribbon - charm... I had these acrylic disks and the metal charm backing so I stamped hugs from Dots in stazon and then used adhesive to add it to the metal piece. I added some hearts above the hugs to fill in the space and give extra color.  I colored the image in Copics and used scraps of dp I had on my desk.

Welcome to another Free Friday at Bugaboo ... Catch the bug..

 

With the Fourth of July just around the corner I thought I would make this a patriotic card.

This is the Free Friday image.. Flower pocket.. I used my texture technique on the jean pocket using Copic 0 and a scrap of jean material. It looks so cool. I hope it comes across ok on the computer. I went with the red, white and blue for my card and the sentiment says it all..

This is the second card for the Creative with Stamps #3 Manly/masculine mid month challenge

Helen F who is on our team in injured and not able to craft right now so I made a card in her place.

This is mid month reminder.. You still have a few weeks to get your Fathers day.. Birthday... anniversary.. what ever is manly / masculine and post over at Creative with Stamps. 

 

I've had this pheasant stamp forever and it does not have a name on  the block.. I love it and love seeing the birds around now and then in the country. So colorful.  When my hubby was younger he raised them.  I think this would be a great card for that father in your life.

It's mid month reminder at Creative with Stamps #3  Manly card

This is a month long challenge and so to refresh you mind and know those father's day cards are out there here's a chance to enter another card for our challenge.

 

(remember you can only enter 3 different cards per month)

 

 

 

I know men like to fish (and I sure love doing it) but wanted to make a fun father's day card so I used an old fish stamp that I have and colored him up with my copics.. When I have done this fish before I've done it in some wild colors but I wanted to keep it manly so went softer. I also stamped some more water bubbles.. the right side of the fish bubbles are on the stamp but the other bubbles I stamped and colored lightly and use a little glitter to give some sparkle. Not much.. wanted to keep it manly.

 Here is my fun card... I used Float your goat from Doodle Pantry.. I always choose the ants but I saw this one and laughed so I knew it was perfect for my card.. Just look at that funny face. The sentiment is perfect. I colored her hair and hooves in purple/lavender so she has that party girly look and added wink of stella glitter pen but it's hard to see in the photo.. I added some little dots to the balloons to give some fun-ness to them. I added my clouds that I do and it's done.. I love this and cant wait to send it to someone.  I hope you find time to play along at Inspiration Destination.. It's ATG all the time.
