Hello

It's June first.. wow. let the summer begin.. at least in the Pacific northwest..

It's been cold and wet.. 

It's time for a new challenge over at 

Happy Little Stampers watercolor

For my card I went more for the July celebration vs. a June card.. I don't know what I was thinking.. lol

I used My favorite things image and used Altenew watercolors. I also added a little Paul Ruban metallics and finished with some left over AB diamond drills.

Theme is

ON THE WATER

For my card I used my cloud template and cover the whole card stock with Ranger ink. I then cut the card in half and turned the bottom section  upside down which made the waves.. I used a scrap and Simon Says die to create the hills in the distance. The images are from My Favorite Things and colored with Mission Gold watercolors and used dies to cut out. I made a slit in the waves to add the bottom of the images. I stamped the sentiment with Ranger ink.

This is an old wood block stamp from PSX.. I stamped and used copics to color. I layered on some pink to bring out the pink flowers. I embossed the background and added the Stampin up butterflies and some left over diamond painting drills

Our letter this challenge is

D - DIE CUTS

For my card I used the pigs from My favorite things. I painted with Mission gold watercolors. I used some scraps and Spellbinder die for the ground. The clouds are Simons says and Taylored Expressions. The hearts are Stampin up. I added the SS sentiment You can barely see the eyes on the smiley face.. I can in real life but here it's faded.

This is a new company to us.. They have some cute images and it was fun working with this cuttie. Fairy tale hope.. I colored her with copics. I used Lil Inker stitch die to cut her out. I embossed the pink card stock. I added the image and Stampin up sentiment.  I went over the wings with Spectrum Noir sparkle brush and finished with some left over diamond painting drills.

SENTIMENT AS FOCAL POINT

This is my card. I sprayed water on my watercolor paper and added Ken Oliver color burst powder and spritzed a little more water to get the effect of the background. Once dry I heat embossed the Simon Says sentiment.  I love the outcome of the card. It does look like a celebration card.

I am using the image Donut stack and their sentiment. I colored the images with copics.. drooling the whole time.. I love donuts.. my favorite is Bismarks.. with the dark chocolate frosting and Boston cream filling.. oh my love them.. Love maple bars with bacon crumbled on top is second like.. who am I kidding I love so many of them.. Any way back to my card. I colored and added Spectrum Noir to the sprinkles and drizzled icing. I used My favorite things stitch die and added to a piece of brown card stock then to this colorful dotted dp. I used Epiphany crafts banner punch and added them. I used Stampin up dies and created the framed sentiment. I added some Diamond painting left over drills.

I used a background stamp from Stampin up and Simon Says ink then I stamped the My favorite things sentiment. I stamped the image also from MFT on watercolor paper and using Mission gold watercolors painted the image. I added a small circle and added to the card with foam dots. For my D... I used Dog and Duck.. I took some left over papers from Quick Quotes and added to the card base. The dog and stump are from My favorite things.. the duck is from Tech. Tues. I painted with Mission gold watercolors.. I added the sentiment and used a MFT circle die and QQ ring. I thought the sentiment was so cute as the dog is bringing the duck a bone.. wishing it a quacky birthday. what will the duck do with it??

Of course who is funny.. Art Impressions images and sentiments. I've used this image and sentiment a lot over the years..  There are those mornings that I can relate to her.. I think it's funny so that is the funny part.. I colored her with copics. I used Lil inker stitch die and My favorite things stitch die for the sentiment. so that's the stitches part.. I used some scraps of Quick Quote dp for the background and finished with some Diamond painting drills for the little bling. Hope my card has you in stitches with laughter.. lol
