Well last winter or maybe fall.. I watch Jennifer McGuire create a fun fold card. So I created a model just in case I may need a fancy folded card.. Well am I glad I did that or what..  I am using the image called Girl by fence.. I used My favorite things stitch die and cut her out. I then used the model card I made and created this one. Because the image in tall vs. long I had to change it around a little. I really don't know how someone would display this card unless they leaned it against something. I used some scraps for the background. I also took my cloud and ground template and created the background. I colored the image with copics. As I was coloring the fence I realized that there was to be open space between the slats.. Well too late I colored the area so I took a black pen and added some nail heads to the left side.. I saved the day. When you open the card I stamped Close to my heart sentiment. The other area is for someone to say something.  I do like this fold and will use it for mid month reminder and other times. I cant wait to see what fancy fold you come up with.

Well it's the end of February..

It always seems strange that this month can be so short..

But it's Thursday and over at Catch the bug that means

Oldie but Goodie..

 

 I know Valentines day is over but Love cards can be sent out at any time. I started by using Ranger ink and Stampin up stencil and created the hearts. I then found this Tim Coffey paper so cut a circle and cut the image out with My favorite things die. I then colored the image with copics. When I added the circles it still looked plain so I cut some banners out of scraps and using Simon Says sentiments I stamped on the banners. I added some wink of Stella to the hearts and hair.

I am using the image called Sassy and Me from Cute as a button.. I colored the image with copics and using my cloud and ground template and Ranger inks created the background. Hello.. it's Tuesday so at Bugaboo it's new Release day. 

 Check out the fun creations over at Catch the bug..

 

This image is called Deacon Sitter..  I used Echo park designer paper and laid out the background. I then cut the bottom half of the card stock away so I could have the image sit. I used My favorite things circle die and cut the top half off.. I colored the image with copics and added him to the card. I added some Wink of Stella. I used the My favorite things die and sentiment and added to the bottom half. I finished with some sequins.

This is my card using the background paper from Basic Grey as my travel inspiration.. Then I looked and saw this awesome plane from Pretty Pink Posh.. I knew I had to use it. I stamped the image and colored with copics. I added a brad to the propeller and used the die to cut it out. I added some Wink of Stella. I chose a sentiment from the set.  Such a fun easy card to create.

 I love the fun crazy birds and thought this fun bird has a royal look to her so I set a European scene background using various stamps and embossed them. I did the Ranger ink paper smooshing to get the background colors. I then colored the bird with water color Kuretake paints. I used an EK punch for the crown and Nuvo drops for the crown jewels.

Hello Birthday Girl - Bugaboo Free Friday

It's time for a Free Friday from Bugaboo..

This is Scarlette Café.  I chose the background first so I knew what to do with her dress. Then I colored the image with copics. I went over her dress, purse and shoes with Wink of Stella. I layered up some scraps to add to the background and then using My favorite things stitch die cut her out. I added her to the card on some foam. I stamped the Simon Says sentiment and added this and some bling. She's ready to celebrate her birthday..

I am using the fun image called Little Lucas and Bloomin tools.

I colored the image with copics and went over the tools with Wink of Stella. I used Wonky Simon Says die. I also fussy cut out the tools. I stamped a little heart on the tag. it's hard to see. I think I should of colored it in.. I then used Club scrap sentiment. I thought it fit the building tool image. I mounted this on Basic Gray designer paper.. I think it fits the boys boys boys theme.

This is the BINGO card to follow..

 

 

I am using the image called Pretty in plaits..

I used the bottom row... Ribbon / Stitching faux / favorite color (purple/green) all the colors in the background paper.. I chose the Moda scrap designer paper and then went from there on coloring the image. I used copics. I went over the flowers with Wink of Stella and her cheeks with white gel pen. I used My favorite things stitch die. I backed this on a rich color purple piece of card stock. I tied a binding ribbon along the bottom and then stamped the Annette Watkins sentiment. I went over the piece with Ranger ink and added this below the ribbon.  Like I said my favorite colors are the colors in the background so this was a fun card to create.

This image is called Fairy girl sitter. I started by coloring the image then cut the bottom part of the card stock away. I used My favorite things arch die and cut the top half. I then used Echo park paper and laid out the background. I added the image to the card and stamped the Simon says sentiment. I finished by adding a Doodlebug heart and glitter to the wings.

Hello and today is Monday so over at Catch the bug..

It's Anything But a Card

 

 

 

So since this is my day I have a tag to share.. I always look for tags to go with my Bible Journaling and Studies.. So this one is for my studies. I used the Bugaboo image called Kidz hope/anchor/soul..

I started by using a Tim Holtz tag and I had this scrap of designer paper with the clouds and thought this was perfect. I adhered to the tag and then cut around the tag. I have these circle enforcers that I created years ago so I used one for the hole circle. I then fussy cut around the image. I colored the image with copics and went over her wings, stars and heart with glitter. I stamped the Paper Trey ink sentiment scripture..  This is going in my bible study book.

Always Fun challenge.

Our theme is ZOO ANIMALS

 

 

I have this fun lion from a Simon says stamps set. It came in a monthly kit from SS.. My friend a fellow crafter made a template she saw on U-tube and gave me one of them. It's to be used in a Misti or similar type tool. She used a 4 inch sq. then tuned half way and did again so you have this template with 8 pointed areas cut out of a plastic sheet. So I took the 4 in sq. of card stock and stamped the lion using only 4 of the 8 areas and this is done in the Misti you don't need to move the stamp only the paper so you have them evenly spaced.  Because the stamp is a little too large it overlapped the legs.. I hope I made sense on what I said.. Anyhow once I stamped them I used copics. I then stamped the sentiment and used MFT circle die and colored in the letters and went over the letters, lion eyes and nose with glossy accents. (the sentiment being in the center is because the legs overlapped. I then used copics in a few blue colors to color in the background. I found this Club scrap dp and thought it picked up the lion colors.  This was fun and I need to figure how to use the template so I can create a wreath or something.

I love these cute Pretty pink posh bees. I dug through my scraps and found this goldish color and the other side is the dots dp. Perfect for my card. So then I cut out the bees and laid them out well now I need flowers so I went to my favorites.. My favorite things and used Altenew inks and stamped a few flowers and leaves and die cut them out. Ok now I used copics and colored the bees and then added glitter to the wings and glossy accents to the bodies. The flower centers also got some glossy accents. I chose a sentiment from Simon says..

This is my reminder card for the design team challenge.. Another fun time playing in my craft room I wanted to give my neglected colored pencils love. I created this fun card. I used Taylored Expressions image. I stamped the image with Stampin up brown ink and then used Prisma colored pencils to color the image. I used My favorite things circle die to cut the image out. I adhered this to my card base then used some Stampin up leaves and frame die to fill in the area under the image. The sentiment is from Tech. Tuesday.

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun card using the Bugaboo Free Friday image.

This image is called Rolly Polly Chef Pie.  I was going the idea that this is a fruit pie so the Cosmo Cricket design papers with strawberries.. I colored the image with Copics and then used My favorite things stitch die. I stamped the Simon Says sentiment and used a Stampin up die. I went around the edges with Ranger ink and added a little Wink of Stella.  I love the bright fun look of this card. Hope you pick up this fun guy.

After having a week of snow and over a foot of it.. I am so ready for summer. I know a foot doesn't some like a lot to some east coast / mid west people but for WA. state it is a lot. I feel for others who have that and more. My daughter is in Montana and has over 2 ft. 

I am using an image called Beach babe Kaylee.  I started by making the background using Newtons Nook stencil and Ranger ink. I then colored the image with copics and fussy cut her out. I added some Wink of Stella to her glasses. I stamped the Simon Says sentiment with Quick quote chalk ink. I cut this out and added to the card. I keep it simple.

For my card I used two of the images.  Gift and Squawk.. I thought two would work better. I created the background with my cloud/ground templates and Ranger ink. I then colored the images and added grass using copics. I added the Paper Pretties sentiment and layered the card.  I used a white gel pen to give interest to the balloons.
