Well I am still recovering from surgery from two weeks ago and it completely slipped my mind that I needed to load my card tonight for my post tomorrow. Guess better to realize it tonight than tomorrow morning and at least I got it made.. now how could I forget that? but I did..   Being on medication really can mess with the mind.  Surprised my card came out as good as it did..LOL 

 

Today we have a new release at Paper Pretties, this is BUBBALOO  What a party animal huh??

 

This is my card for #260 challenge this week which is EMBOSSING.. I thought it best that I should not handle a heat tool at this time so went I for the dry embossing and embossed most of the card. I do love the embossing folders and there are so many cool ones out there and really makes a statement. I hope you play along at Paper Pretties and enter your embossed cards/project. I used BLOSSOM  a digi for my image. I keep finding a neighbors cat in my garlic beds and really wish they wouldn't do that but now that the leaves are up more they don't have room.

Happy Memorial Weekend for you in the USA.  Hope you all have a fun safe weekend. We are staying home as usual and just enjoy time away from the rush. I am recovering from surgery I had on May 14th so moving very slow. I hope to maybe get some cards made but we'll see.

This is the card I made for sketch #212.  I saw this paper and thought this would be perfect for a miss you card.  I have this cross hatch large background stamp I don't use enough. I love the look as it's not over powering and gives just the right touch.

Wednesday is new challenge day at Paper Pretties  #259 USE YOUR FAVORITE STAMP and also new release day. Today we have FEATHER as the new release. Cute huh?

 

 So today I chose to use as a favorite stamp this RIGHT ON PAR by of course Paper Pretties, it was hard to choose as there are so many wonderful stamps and digi's but figured with fathers day coming and my brothers birthday and he loves to play golf this would be perfect card for his birthday. I really like how this card came out. I have a punch which is just a series of holes in a row. I got it super cheap and have wondered why did I buy this? It's worthless so I took it out and punched these 3 circles over on the left side of the brown. I like the size of the circles and I like the touch with out bling as it needed something over there. Do you ever have tools you don't know why you bought other than they were cheap and haven't used?  I am sure I am not the only one out here that does that.

Wednesday is a new challenge at Paper Pretties this is challenge #258 and the theme is GRADUATION..  Hence the new digi image for this week which is HONORS.  I think this image would be good for someone graduation from elementary to junior hi school or any graduation.

I made this card for a co-worker and dear friend. I saw this technique by Dawn McVey and loved the idea and had to try it. I will be doing more of this. I did not dry emboss the white paper as she did and next time I may try it, I do love how it came out though. What you do is take refill ink in colors you think work well together.. drip a few drops (behind the sentiment) and take a drinking straw and blow it in a direction you want, then take another color and drip it in the same area and again the straw and so on and so forth till your please with what you have. Then use the sentiment to cover the glob of inks you want to blow dry or set aside to dry. I used su and ranger refills, pti stamp and die, te die, su die, ribbon, su card base,  su scraps, string of pearls and blue ink

Today's new release at Paper Pretties and the image is called SNUGGLY WUGGLY awhhh isn't that cute. Great for a mothers / fathers day card.

 

 Now for this weeks challenge it's to use COLORED PENCILS and that is what I did. I use to use colored pencils all the time then found out about copics.. well it felt good to get back into the pencils for this card. I used the image Happy Bird-day and think it came out pretty good.

Catch the bug Free Friday BOAT DUCKIE

The duck has such a cute face, love the look and thought would make a nice summer birthday card I had some leftover pieces from other projects on my desk so made the sun using PTI dies and stamp and then a circle die to get the right size needed. I like the look. Kinda thought the other paper look like water.  My blog loading and writing is driving me crazy it does not want to work tonight. Things are being double spaced and I don't know why or how to fix it. So sorry this looks crazy.

Before I get to my card let me introduce you to FIFI a new digi in the PP shop. I can shop till I drop with out a problem.. Wouldn't it be fun to play with this darling image. 

 

This is the card I made for the PINK and GREEN challenge. Using Giving Thanks Sophia
I chose some great soft colors of pink and green and found this wonderful brad by Teresa Collins which was perfect for the card and I like where I added it to the banners. The words are digi Paper Pretties. I wanted this for a birthday card.   I hope you play along at Paper Pretties.
