Because I live in the town / county that this company is out of.. (well I live 25 min. away in another town) I have been to their store and we have craft stores that carry the images.. this is a very old image that I am using. I think it is tulips/butterflies.. G221.. I made the card and since I love this plaid paper from Lawn Fawn I had to use it. I got from Monika Reeck at Creative with Monika the hello die cut (I used my copics and colored it green) and then used Simon says friend and completed the card.

This is my card using Fancy butterfly 2 image.. I found this designer paper? in my stash and loved the look so knew this what the perfect image for it. I used some of the same colors and added the die cut hello.. I layered it three times to give depth.  I used the lil inker stitch die.

I am using a peeker image from Bugaboo.  I cut her out and then I used pop up dots and layered her over the die below her. I used a allover cross hatch stamp for the background.

Sending comforting hugs / New release Bugaboo

We are back from our much needed and appreciated vacation from Bugaboo/Catch the bug.

Now it's time for New Release at Bugaboo

The new release is called Roses and butterflies

 

This is the fun image. I remember seeing one time some chocolate roses and they were so pretty but I didn't want to go totally chocolate so I went more for a butterscotch look. I took some Ranger inks and made the background .. too bad so much of it is covered up but I did not want to resize the image cause it would of been too hard to color. I took some Quick quote chalk in and colored a strip of paper for the sentiment.  I could almost smell the flowers..

This is my card using the image called Bear cub... I think he looks like he's saying Hi there..

I really kept this quite simple. I wasn't sure how to color the image. I added some sequins to give more movement to the background. I did use my copic 0 and terry towel for the body of the bear.

A bird sings not because -- Guest Designer for Crafty Boots

I am a Guest Designer over at Crafty Boots Challenges where the challenge is Anything But A Card..

I was excited to be asked to be a guest designer and of course I loved that it's Anything But A Card.. I like those types of challenges. Thank you Crafty Boots for having me.

This is my Anything But A Card project. I needed another journal page for October so this was my chance to make one. When I have my journal I have the month tabs and then the calendar and more pages.. Well right on top of the month tab is where this goes. So when I go to my journal I see the inspiration - fun pages.
I finally used those Tim Holtz crazy birds. I have had them for awhile but seem to never have time to use them. I took my chance this time.  I used water color paper and laid down some inks and spritzed with water then I laid the water color paper in the inks. I dried the paper then laid it gently down in spots till I got the bright colorful background I wanted. I love doing this.. (I also love there are two sides of the paper.. the first one was a muddy mess) After I got what I wanted I dried it. I then die cut the stamped birds and colored them in copics. I was then thinking what sentiment do I want. I looked in my inspirational book (one I write in) and didn't see anything. So went to my stamps and found this sentiment from Verve Stamps. Well it was too small so I went to the computer and printed it out and then cut each word out.  I then added My Favorite Things music notes.  I layered it on some black card stock (to hide the muddy mess on the other side) and laminated the page with my Zyron. I have a hole punch that fits the binders I have so punched it and added to a journal.  I am loving this page and the way it came out.

Ok this is the 4th Wedding / Congratulations card. It took awhile to make this card as every night I seemed to have something going one. I need to bring the cards to work tomorrow so my friend can chose or take all 4 of them. Now maybe if you went back and looked at the other three you could see why I had a hard time choosing which group of papers to use. I did two in cream card stock base and the flowers same cream and two with white card stock base and white flowers. I love all four.

This one is the same as others just different papers and again this one has the embossing folder strip. I love summer weddings.. it's easy to pick colors. 

I love the misti stamping tool. I've made these cards before for my friend and the congratulations wasn't stamped as strong it is on these using the misti and re stamping at least 3 times.  If you haven't bought it yet.. I highly recommend it. I just have the small one and I love the size. I like that you can also stamp your sentiment or image and then if you don't use an embossing ink you can stamp in color of choice and then when you are happy you use versa mark and re stamp again and emboss. It's perfect alignment each time you stamp.  I can see more embossing in my future.. (this is not ink embossed)  I just went through my many many embossing powders and put them in a lot smaller containers and then stamped a word on white and black and them embossed it and stuck it to the top of the lid. This way I have an idea what it looks like for future embossing projects.

Don't give me attitude - Guest Designer at Scrapping 4 fun #72

Today I am the Guest Designer at Scrapping 4 fun.. This is challenge #72 - Anything goes.

I am so happy to be the GD and thank you for having me.

 

 

This is my card for the Anything goes challenge.  I chose to use one of the crazy birds from Tim Holtz. I found this fun sentiment at Michaels today it's by Dylusions and I just had to use this bird because she has that attitude look and I had her standing on the deflated balloon to give it more of that attitude feel.  The sentiment also came with a stencil so I stamped the lines and circles that are by Club scrap but then took the stencil and added some pink circles, gold circles with ink. In person it looks cool. I used wink of stella on the balloon and her eyes.

This is my card using the image Guy golfing.. I think any guy would like this card. Would of made a nice fathers day card.. hum might have to remember this for next year..  I wanted a nice encouragement sentiment so found this old one from club scrap.  I grabbed a bunch of scraps and did my scrap strip that I like to do..
