OK my song for the inky impressions challenge is "it's my party and I'll cry if I want to... My DH says "lollipop lollipop" .. I paper pieced her pj and hair ribbons. The flower I made and the biggest petal is from a paper towel that I put on the bottom of a spray box and when I use my spritz it catches the over spary..well it looked too pretty to throw away so I used some dies and cut out different size petals. Love the idea.

I have seen recently stamping in versa mark then using clear embossing powder heat then use various inks to get the colors you want. Well that is what I did I am pretty happy with how it came out. I may next time not use such a large image but I am ok with the way it came out.

I thought this would be a good challenge and to learn more about using my Cinch binding machine even though I just used two links but I'm thinking I may put a larger coil in there. I will use it for awhile and see before I make some for my grandchildren. OH it's a post it note cover, did I say that? I use them a lot and have seen some covers done and wanted to give this a try and I needed a "anything but card" for one of the challenges. Also the hot pink words are heat embossed and I think this would be a cute note pad for a child in school and it's on kraft and I did make this one with a butterfly. Last week I messed up and left off the butterfly, angel or fairy so hope I covered all the bases this week. No matter what I had a blast making this cute pad.

This is the card I did for our challenge at Unscripted Sketches.. I hope you have time to join in on the fun sketch and lets see what you come up with. It can be anything - scrapbook, notebook, card what ever just follow the sketch best you can.. I thought I would stamp right over the designer paper and use my pencils vs. copics which was fun. I used pencils all the time before I got introduced to copics then they kind of went farther back on my desk. This card is for DP2 challenge Mo Manning making and easel card and a ANIMAL OR BIRD SOMEWHERE ON YOUR CARD.. went and posted it and saw in the fine print I needed a bird or animal in the subject.. Gesh leave it to me to not remember all I read I should of written it down so I could remember ... I only did about 13-14 challenges today.. silly me.. So went and added the bird. kind of reminds you of Alfred Hitchcock - the birds huh.. did not realize until I posted it.. No matter what I love this image and card with or with out the bird. Same details as the card below but the bird is MS punch, and Ranger red brick ink and embossing folder.

Sunday August 7, 2011 I have been seeing on online stores with the SMASH book where it's a bound book that you just paste, staple, doodle what ever you want into it like your cool doodling images, memories items, keepsakes that mean a lot to you but don't know what to do with it. I have things in drawers that are memories but don't really want for a scrapbook so I do like the idea of putting those little things somewhere so they are all in one place. I thought since I have the CINCH binding machine why not put it to good use. I did not know what I wanted for a cover page so thought of all the words that mean a lot to me. Then gave to DH and with using Excel (I have no idea how to use it) he did this for me. I love how it came out its words that are ME and I love how he made the sun yellow and the word color to have color.. there is still room so I can doodle or something on the front to still make it more me.. I took different scraps of ribbon for the spine to give it more of a colorful look.. remember I love the word color.. the size is 8.5-11...
This is the inside cover. I love dragonflies so it had to have that.. I just wrote a saying I saw the other day inside.. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.. I took a book mark that a dear best friend made me in the envelope. I lost her almost 3 years ago from a heart attack so those words are so special..

Kind of a view to the inside there are card stock pages, and decorative card stock pages I kind of went mute colors so that what ever I was putting in there would stand out and not compete.

Sunday August 7, 2011 Challenge card for Hand Stamped Sentiments (I took three views) http://handstampedsentiments.blogspot.com/ using fancy folds... OK I have to admit I have never done one of these cards before but I must say I love it. I had to look at the still photos a couple of times just to see how to fold the silly thing.. I hope I got it right. I went through a lot of plastic containers the other day ..OH MY it was like Christmas I have so many dies card stock saying, card stock, embellishments you name it. I was with Club Scrap for a couple of years and when I got the kit I just put it away.. NEED I SAY MORE on what I found.. This card is mostly from those supplies. There are a few PB stickers, brads and punched out birds but the rest is my finds, I love the colors I chose I always have fun trying different colors together and I'm pleased with this combo..
