Hello and hope you're having a great summer
We have a new challenge over at
Theme: Welcome Summer
I made this card for my best friend who retired . She loves the beach and goes out to our Washington Coast as much as they can and they vacation in Calif. So I wanted this to be a special card. I wrote the Retirement message inside. I did not want to mess up the front with a sentiment. I used Taylor Expression chairs, Ranger ink, Stampin up, I have arched dies?? the water and sand is an old rubber baby buggy bumper red rubber. The background orange paper is scrap from Quick quote. I used bleed proof white for the foamy water.
Simon Says Monday - vacation
Allsorts #826 - seaside
Pin-spirational #326 - summer sky
Papercraft challenge #119 - summer vibes

Gorgeous beachy card, hope your friend enjoys her retirement, happy days. xx
Perfect summer card Billie! I had to laugh when you mentioned not wanting to stamp on the front of this. It is so lovely and to mess it up would be sad. I have had similar experiences. Your friend will absolutely love this for her retirement. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday. We appreciate you! (Oh, and I'm glad you found your arch dies! :))

What a heartfelt and beautifully personalized card! The soft inking and arching die frames create such a dreamy beach scene, and those Taylored Expressions chairs just invite relaxation. I love the touch of foamy water—it adds such a realistic sparkle. Your friend is sure to treasure this tribute to her love of the coast and this new chapter ahead.
Your scene makes me dream... Thank you so much for joining us at Allsorts challenge and using our theme!
