Well I have been busy today making cards. Your Next Stamp is having a DT call and I really, really, really want to be on this team. So I am submitting these three cards. They are all different in how they were done and to give a sample of my style and personality. (is that the same meaning for both?)
This first one is using the YNS clear rubber image Christmas Bauble. I colored this cute little image and cut it out and layered it on top of this awesome paper. I was trying to figure the bird color and came up with the color arrangement. I like the look as it gives contrast to the rest of the cards colors. I used stickles on the hat trim, glitter pen on the ornament - but you really cant see it too well, and embossed the sentiment. I put a piece of SU twine and bow for the ornament string. Papers are SU and MME and a scrap of QQ.
This second card is a digi CTB Stella / Mondays .. Oh yea I feel her pain and that could very well be me on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.. then I perk up and WOO HOO it's almost Friday.. I like using digi's as then you can size them so fit what ever your doing. I sometimes use the sentiment that comes with the image, as this one did. Or I use something else that fits what I need at the time.
I used Genius die, QQ scrap, SU scrap, liq. pearls petal pink, ribbon, embossing folder and copics.
This last card I made for my dear friends who I call my other daughter as she is the same age as my daughter and they grew up together. She is getting married the 17th and her wedding is based on hydrangea's (stamp rubber PSX) I stamped it with stazon black on water color paper and using water color pencils colored it in. I then took liq. pearls and touched the center of the flowers. I used embossing powder for the PTI word "together" and PTI die for the "forever", I used a dark blue and green to give a shadow look. I used Swiss dot embossing folder on the very vanilla card base and a small piece of DCWV pattern paper behind the flower panel to give it a pop of color. Rounded the bottom corners with corner chomper. (just realized I was so excited about posting my cards I chose this one that is not cropped.. oh well it still looks nice just not as close up as I would like it to be.. and don't know if there is a way to re-add if I deleted it.. didn't want to take the chance.)
All three cards are entered in the following challenges:
2 Sisters #155 - anything goes
One Stop Craft #237 - keep it simple
613 Avenue #31 - anything goes/with a sentiment
