Catch the bug Saturday challenge / Photo challenge / Happy birthday

Saturday February 28, 2015

This is the photo to go by.. I will love to see your view of the photo and what you decide to do

So this is my card... I did not know really what to do and now that I see it ready for posting..  I should of added a little crown somewhere.. but I went with the black/grays and white and kept the monochromatic look. I was really please overall how it came out and since I don't really do monochromatic I pat myself on the back.. I chose mft dp and other scraps and did the side strips on the righ and added black and white twine along the left side to cover the white image where it meets the designer paper with the alphabets on it. I took two punched circles and added a brad and put it over the bow.. I'm pleased and hope I encouraged you to play along.  I used the image tall birthday cake.

I love challenging myself with this technique. I like how you kept the image large to take the center of attention and then put the fun eye candy on the side with those super stripes and the hint of twine with the element on the left. This would make a wonderful 40th birthday card for a male or female. It's a really cool card.
