My card I used the Stamp Rosa house mouse image. I colored the image with copics and added some stickles to the flame. I used Lil Inker stitched die and the sentiment is from Simon Says. I add some Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the candle and marshmallow.

This is my card. I had another background going but I did not like what I was trying to create so went with this layout instead. I am happier. I stamped the images from Simon Says and then colored with Mission water color paint and Kuretake white. I colored the Christmas blue lights from Paper Trey ink and hearts by Simon Says with copics. I added a little floss to the lights. I added some Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the lights and hearts. I fussy cut everything out.

 I was digging through that box of Christmas what not's again and found these card bases from a Simon Says stamp kit a few years ago. I also found these stickers.. the ginger bread people and sentiment banner. I added them to the card front.  I then stamped Simon Says tree with Ranger ink and presents I colored with copics and fussy cut out. I added them to the card and went over the white are on the tree with a white gel pen. I die cut out of gold paper the star and completed the card.

We are now going to a once a month challenge. It will be the 15th of each month. You can enter up to 3 cards and they need to be Christmas theme but anything goes.. no themes.

I was remembering I had this Taylored Expressions stamp and die so I took out the Christmas tree stamp and colored it with copics. I added Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the ornaments. I added a little Ranger distressing to the window frame die. I thought with the window it would be great to add it to wood designer paper so it looks like a house.. Duh huh. I then stamped with Simon red and Simon says stamp the sentiment and adhered it behind the Stampin up metal frame and added SU brads. I added a few sequins to the sentiment and one to the star on top of the tree.

As you like it - favorite celebration and why (Christmas, time to celebrate Christ's birth.. be with family and friends. Great foods.

The theme is ALWAYS ANYTHING GOES + CHRISTMAS

starting July 15th we will be going to a monthly challenge. The 15th of each month. It's still ATG  Christmas

 

I was going through my rack of dies and saw this fire place die from Taylored Expressions.. I had to use it.. So I used some Quick Quote scraps and die cut the pieces out.. I used some Ranger ink to distress the edges. I loved this piece when it was put together.. Then I looked at more scraps an used the dotted dp for the flooring. I used this Simon Says dp I got a long time ago and used it for the wall paper look. (I used this earlier paper June 6th)..  I then stamped the Paper Trey ink sentiment and added the wreath from Little B. I stamped the Mama Elephant images and colored with Zig water color brushes and added them to the card. I used a little stickles on the fire.  I hope I have inspired you to make a Christmas card and join in the challenge.

Woo hoo June is here and that means warmer weather and time to enjoy our deck again. We had a deck added late last summer and with the nice long summer we had we got to enjoy it but now we get a longer time to enjoy. Time to stamp up a bunch of images and take out and paint/color as I set out on the deck. I love that. The country life is so quiet an beautiful to look at. But for now it's time for another challenge at

In the box I talked about a couple weeks ago I found these antler stickers by My Minds Eyes (among other stickers in it the same pack) so I took My Favorite Things alphabet dies and cut out the joy. I added the die letters to foam and added to the card base. I then added the antlers. I used Simon Says hills die and using silver shinny paper added this to the bottom. I added some trees by Little B and added a Mama Elephant deer colored with copics. I thought the background needed more so I used some Simon Says hearts cut from Gold foil paper same I used for the Joy.

So for you USA folks are ya getting ready for Memorial Day weekend? camping, traveling? We usually stay home. I think we'll do the same this holiday. Good time maybe get some crafting done. Maybe more bible journaling or just coloring already stamped images.

So this card was very simple to make. I have a box of small Christmas items that I just found in a drawer.. I looked through my dp and found this awesome paper with the snowflakes all over it. In the box were these awesome stickers of a snowman and bundled up girl I got some time ago at WalMart.. when I have no idea. I usually don't buy this type of item at WalMart but it must of been a good deal.. I wanted the snowman to have a grounding so I just freehanded cut the image under it. I used Paper Trey sentiment stamp at the top and Paper Pretties stamp sentiment below. This is a simple fun card.

Welcome to an awesome May. That means we're closer to Summer and vacation time.. I guess being retired we can go on vacation anytime but we always seem to do it during the summer months.

We're back with another challenge at

The Merry Christmas challenge #19

 

Our theme is

ALWAYS ANYTHING GOES + CHRISTMAS

 

So last summer when the weather was nice.. very nice, I stamped a bunch of images on water color paper, regular paper and Bristol. Well this is Holly Berry House and I just stamped on regular paper and I colored it with Prisma colored pencils. I knew I would need at some time ..well that time is now.
 I die cut using Lil Inker die and then mounted on My minds eye designer paper.  I then used Simon Says sentiment and white heat embossed and added to the card. I went around the woodsman /Santa with a green copic for a little shadow look.  It was nice to have this image all colored up just waiting for the right time to create a card.

Here is another stamp set I don't think I have ever used?? I truly don't remember if I have or not.. but I am now. I stamped the Stampin Up  ornaments with Altnew inks and die cut them out and used the dies to cut out and added Stampin up gold cord and foam dots mounted them to the weathered wood looking designer paper. I stamped the Simon Says sentiment and added Nuvo drops to the ornaments.

It's time for another challenge at

 The Merry Christmas challenge #15  our challenge theme is always the same

ALWAYS ANYTHING GOES + CHRISTMAS

 

This is my Christmas card.. Oh my wish I could of said this was an simple card to make.. well it was simple but time consuming. Lots of die cutting. I used Impression Obsession dies. It's all one set. There is a wreath and then there are the pine branches and holly. I cut what seemed like a million pine branches and then using Ranger ink I did a couple different colors so there would be variation to the wreath colors. I had a scrap of water color paper I did ..who knows when but I used it for the holly leaves. I then took half pearls and colored them with a copic marker and added them to the wreath. I added a Lil Inker tiny bow. I mounted this on the ship lap looking card stock and stamped Paper Trey ink sentiment. I do love this card and I hope it comes across on your computer with all the details that are in it.

This is my card. Again using Ranger inks I created the background with Water color paper and smooshing.

I then took the snow stencil and texture paste to finish the winter night sky. While it dried I took silver card stock and cut the background Stampin up star and then took gold card stock and cut the more detailed star and I layered them with foam tape. I used the Reverse Confetti Merry die and cut it twice then took Ranger ink and inked the bottom for a ombre look. I stamped the Christmas from Simon Says and heat embossed in white.  I love the night looking sky.

So in 2016 I got this stencil from Simon Says and I don't believe I've used it.. So again I made my smooshing water color background with Ranger inks and once it was dried I thought this would be the perfect snow looking background for this stencil. I used Ranger inks in greens and brown and dabbed in the trees. I then went over the stencil with Texture paste to create the snow.. obviously the snow picked up the green ink.. but it is suppose to be snow. I then used Simon Says die for the Merry Christmas and silver card stock I cut it out three times and layered them ... boy was that hard. but worth it. This was really a simple card to make. it just took drying time.

So if you follow me you know I love water color smooshing backgrounds.. Well I was playing again and with different colors of Ranger inks and seeing what I could come up with for Christmas. So this is one of the backgrounds I created. I then needed to figure out what to add to it.. Well digging through my dies I found this awesome Poinsettia die from My Favorite Things so I found two different but close reds and cut the sections two times and then found a scrap of water color and die cut the piece in the center along with the gold for the top center piece. I used a scrap of Quick Quote paper for the leaves. I used silver shinny card stock and Reverse Confetti Merry die and Simon Says Christmas stamp.  I love the richness of this card. It is a wow card in my eyes.

Last year I bought the Mama Elephant Santa and Reindeer agenda stamps and dies and this awesome 12 window frame. I stamped the images and colored with copics. I didn't want a lot of red so I made Santa's pants black. I used Ranger inks for the background and then added the frame which I used foam dots and is cut from a scrap of Quick Quote paper. I added the fun images on foam dots and then used Simon Says sentiment and banner and fussy cut it out. This is such a cute card.. well to me it is. I love these fun images and look forward to making more with the images. I have a whole year of Christmas cards to make so expect to see them again.
