I can hardly wait to regret this...

Wednesday September 20, 2017

It's day 6 of the Fall Coffee Lovers blog hop..
Are you playing along?? Are you having fun and seeing all the creative projects??

This is my card. I knew in my mind what I wanted to create but I think I over did the background. I probably should of left the white embossed hearts off and just stayed with the coffee cups and leaves. Trial and error.. Funny how your mind says one thing and you hands do another.. Any how I stamped the Impress coffee cup and hearts and embossed in white. I then added some Ranger inks to my craft sheet and spritzed with water and smooshed my paper and dried and smooshed more till I got the effect I wanted. I then stamped with brown ink the Simon Says leaves (oh the hearts are Simon says also). I then black embossed the Tim Holtz crazy dog and food bowl which is now filled with COFFEE and glossy accents..  I colored the dog with Mission paints and the bowl with copics. I used a brown copic for the coffee cups coffee. The sentiment is from Dylusions and the cute dog is saying this before he's getting ready to drink the coffee.  I added some Stampin up leaves in the corner and fussy cut the coffee cup and added to the leaves base. I added a wooden red heart. I can just see this dog drinking the coffee and running around the house like a crazy dog he is..

Wednesday September 20, 2017

Well this is another team I joined. Craftaholics R Us... yup I am a craftaholic.. I like that better than hoarder.. lol

Craftaholics R Us #37  We are a weekly challenge with a theme..

I am on the Green team and the theme is FALL COLORS  for this week.
I hope you can play along..

I looked through some designer papers and went for one of my favorite companies. Basic Gray.. I liked these 5 papers and thought what to do... So I added adhesive to my background base and laid the papers down then cut it down to 4.25 x 5.5. I then took Gina K - botanical stamp set and Ranger ink and stamped the script. I then stamped in black the two silhouettes and used gray ink for the other silhouette. I die cut the image out with My Favorite Things stitch die. I die cut two butterflies from an old Stampin up folder die. I added some twine and half pearls to them. I added some Nuvo drops to the one plant and Spectrum Noir glitter pen to the black plants.  I really hope I have inspired you. These are my fall colors.

Hello Love - Pause Dream Enjoy Challenge #191

Wednesday September 20, 2017

Well this is one of the other Design Teams I joined..
Again it's a weekly challenge..
We have two teams. I am on the ORANGE team.

Each week we have a new theme.
The theme for this week is ANIMALS

This is a piece I water colored with my Mission water color paints. It is a pre stamped piece I got on one of my Simon Says monthly kit. I've wanted to paint it for awhile now but wasn't sure with what. Well the Mission paints are kinda new so this was the perfect shot.. I added Spectrum Noir glitter pen to the water.. I am pleased with how it came out. I had to google Flamingos on their beak to see what they look like.  The only flamingos you see in Washington State are the plastic ones in some peoples yards that are faded.. LOL.  I am happy with this card. I hope I inspired you to play along.  Any animal stamp, I know you have one..

May you always be content - Paper Play Sketches

Wednesday September 20, 2017

Welcome to a fun filled day for paper crafting.
Today at Paper Play Sketches we have a color theme.. woo hoo love color themes.. Really makes me put on the thinking cap..

This is the theme... cant wait to see what you create..

So I saw the leaves and thought ok that makes it easier.. And with fall in the air this would be a fun card. So I took out my Stampin up leaves. I had this large leaf so I embossed it with black on Bristol and used my Zig markers and got the colors where I wanted them. I then die cut the image out and went over the leaf with Wink of Stella then took my Versa Mark and went over the whole image and clear embossed. I then found a few other Stampin up leaves I liked and went through my scrap box and found some papers that were ok with the color challenge and stamped the veins and took Quick quote chalk ink and went around the edges after I die cut them out.. I added a few small Martha Stewart punched leaves. The gray piece is a left over from a Quick Quote kit. I laid it all out and used foam dots behind most of the leaves. I stamped the Tech. Tuesday sentiment in the lower right corner. I used QQ chalk ink in pink and distressed the white card. For the final touch I added various drops of Nuvo Drops.  I love this card and the fun colors.

I'll rise... but I refuse to shine..

Tuesday September 19, 2017

This is my 5th card for the Fall Coffee Lovers blog hop.. I have had fun creating coffee cards.
I know you can used tea/chocolate and those kind of beverages.. But I am a coffee lover.. so mine are coffee.

Yesterday as I was standing on my deck drinking my coffee and feeling fall in the air and leaves are falling already... boy how the days change fast from 70/80's to 50/60s in a week.  I do love seeing the fall leaves and the awesome colors but I like the warmer weather.
Any how I thought I would try to make my card so it looked like the Art Impressions image (it's an old wood block red rubber stamp) was standing on a deck with leaves on the deck. OK I am not an artist.. as you can tell by the deck I drew. My hubby said I should of made the deck at an angle. I did not think of it.. my focus was trying to see how I was standing on the deck.. I did do the boards farther away smaller than the front ones and the same with the leaves.. well the card is all done now I was not going to go recreate my card.. I painted the scene with Mission paints and stamped the tree?? off the deck. hence the leaves on the deck. The leaves are Simon Says stitched die set. I stamped the Art Impressions sentiment on the deck.  I love this cute funny lady and sentiment. I think this was me yesterday morning. I even have animal slippers but they are dogs.. funny. you know now that I look at this I should of added hills/greenish grass so it doesn't look like she's standing on wood in space..

A happy, a cheerful, a warm - Hello - Bugaboo / Catch the bug NR

Tuesday September 19, 2017

We're back with a New release at Bugaboo
and you can see the design teams creations at Catch the bug.
I am using a Gelli Plate design I made years ago. I thought it had some good fall colors that went well with the images.
The images from Bugaboo is called "trio scarecrows"  I colored the images with copics. I went around the piece with Ranger inks. I stamped the Verve stamps sentiments on the banners from Tech. Tues. I wasn't sure which way to add the sentiment.. I went with the "a happy" a cheerful" "a warm" "Hello"  reading from bottom to top.
This is a fun cute card..
