Everything is better - Catch the bug - Humor Wed.

Wednesday July 18, 2018

It's time for Humor Me Wednesday at Catch the bug

Today is "Take your pet to work day" and you can find this image Kidz girl cat in the Bugaboo store.. I would of loved being able to take my pet to work but I'd have to bring two small dogs. hum don't think the State job would like that.. But when I was in a private agency I did have to bring my dog which was having some recovery from surgery and he just laid under my desk and it was great. He wasn't up to moving around and just wanted to sleep but I was there for his meds and potty time. I loved it..  Well I don't have a cat only because I am allergic to them. but I saw this darling image and thought it would be perfect for take your pet to work. I chose a Stampin up background dot paper and went through my scraps and made some banners and added a little Quick Quote chalk ink along the edges. I added the Darcies sentiment to a larger banner. I colored the image with copics and used glossy accents on the hearts on her top and bow.

Your are better than summer sunshine - Bugaboo New Release

Tuesday July 17, 2018

Tuesday is New Release day over at Bugaboo..
Check out the design  teams creations over at Catch the bug..

The new release is Beach Ruby... Well I have been doing beach scenes the last few weeks so figured it's time for Ruby to be heading down the road to the beach.. or she's on her way down her sidewalk to her car to drive to the beach.. I created the grass, sidewalk with copics. I added grass between the sidewalk cracks cause most sidewalks I see have them.. Must be our nice high humidity, rainy weather we have in Washington state.. LOL.  When I thought of sidewalks and grass I thought of worms so I added a few Tech. Tuesday worms. LOL.. I then colored Beach Ruby with copics. I created the clouds with my template and using Stampin up ink added the Simon Says sentiment... not sure why she's wearing high heels to the beach.. but hay I don't do and don't think I have ever done high heels.. I'm more a tennis shoe, birkenstock, ugg wearer..

Did you hear the Egg-citing news? - Always fun challenges #67

Monday July 16, 2018

It's time for another challenge at
Our theme is PAPER PIECING

I sure had a lot of fun creating my card. I started by using my ground and cloud template and Ranger inks. I then drew in the tree trunk with copics.  Next I dug through my scraps and using Reverse Confetti bird house, branch and birds I stamped and cut out the different pieces to create the scene. I also used Tech. Tues. leaves and scraps. Added them to the tree.. (not sure if I like them.. but they are there now and adhered down..) So thinking of the sentiment.. I thought this could be a baby announcement. So I used Paper Pretties sentiment and heat embossed and cut apart and adhered to the card. Now for the babies.. see the little shinny eyes in the bird house?? yup.. 3 babies.. The little arrow to point you towards the bird house babies was stamped with Stampin up ink and it's from My favorite things. I added a little nuvo drops to the bottom of the bird house.

Sunday July 15, 2018

We are now going to a once a month challenge. It will be the 15th of each month. You can enter up to 3 cards and they need to be Christmas theme but anything goes.. no themes.
The theme is
ALWAYS ANYTHING GOES + CHRISTMAS

I was remembering I had this Taylored Expressions stamp and die so I took out the Christmas tree stamp and colored it with copics. I added Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the ornaments. I added a little Ranger distressing to the window frame die. I thought with the window it would be great to add it to wood designer paper so it looks like a house.. Duh huh. I then stamped with Simon red and Simon says stamp the sentiment and adhered it behind the Stampin up metal frame and added SU brads. I added a few sequins to the sentiment and one to the star on top of the tree.

Challenges:
As you like it - favorite celebration and why (Christmas, time to celebrate Christ's birth.. be with family and friends. Great foods.

happy birthday - Always Happy Birthday #7

Sunday July 15, 2018

Welcome to Mid month reminder at Always Happy Birthday #7
Our theme is BIRTHDAY ANYTHING GOES / OPT: CAKE

I used a really really old Co-motion wood rubber stamp.. I stamped the cake on a piece of pink card stock. I used copics to color areas. Funny adding copics to the pink it comes out different colors than the actual copic..  I then fussy cut it out. I ran the blue card stock through a number embossing folder. I added the cake. I stamped the Happy birthday on a piece of Quick Quote scraps and fussy cut the balloon out. I added some twine. For the flames I added stickles and the flowers and rows of pearls I added liquid pearls.
