Thanks a latte!

Wednesday December 13, 2017

I created another fun winter scene.. again this is with the Winter Coffee lovers blog hop in mind.. I started by using a scrap of blue card stock from Quick Quote for the sky.. I love that soft design. I then used some shimmer white card stock and Simon Says hills die and created the snow hills. I used some Quick Quote scraps and Simon Says die and cut the houses and trees. I backed the houses with some more scraps I then stamped the Reverse Confetti penguins and hat and the Simon Says coffee cup and colored with Mission water color paints. I die cut them out and fussy cut the coffee cup. I added a little white gel pen around the coffee cup making it look like a band. I then stamped the Gerda Steiner sentiment.

Wednesday December 13-26, 2017

It's time for another challenge at
Inspiration Destination #140..
Again it's ANYTHING GOES

we will be on vacation for a couple weeks. can't wait to see you in 2018 at Inspiration Destination

Ok it's almost Christmas and I needed a break from Christmas cards.. I wanted to play again with my Ken Oliver Powder paints.. So this time I tried a different approach.. I added very little powder to the upper right corner and then spritzed with water (with out blowing it off- LOL) and held the paper so it ran.  and added a little more and more till I got this beautiful piece. I then took some Kuretake gold paint and watered it down and flicked it over the piece.. OH MY this is so pretty..
I took my Simon Says flowers and white embossed them then used my Zig markers and water colored them. I die cut them out and laid out the flowers/leaves. I stamped the Simon Says sentiment and used My Favorite Things banner die.  This is so pretty. Sure hope it comes across ok on the computer.

Ok time to see my Christmas cards are and do I need to get more out..

Merry Christmas Dear - Pause Dream Enjoy #203

Wednesday December 13, 2017

I hope you're having a great December. I am sure you're busy with the holiday craziness that seems to happen..
I hope you have time for some crafting.. Maybe that last minute Christmas card..

The Pause Dream Enjoy #203 challenges is here..
The Orange team has a great theme for you..  REINDEER

I decided to make a small card this size is 3.5 x 4.75. I embossed the background with a small over all stamp and white embossing powder. I then tied a ribbon along the top fold.  The image and sentiment is Simon Says. I stamped and colored with copics. I used a Stampin Up oval stitch die to cut it out. I added some half pearls around the frame and colored one of the white half pearls red for his nose. After all it's Rudolph

You've been touched by an angel - Craftaholics R Us #49

Wednesday December 13, 2017

Welcome to another challenge at Craftaholics R Us #49
Are you ready for a new challenge..
 The theme is EMBOSS
Check out the Green Teams creations at Craftaholics R Us

With the theme being Emboss... I figured I would do both Dry and Wet..
I stamped the angel image and used white embossing powder. I then smooshed Ranger ink on my craft matt and spritzed with water and laid the embossed angel piece in the ink. I dried it and repeated till I got the effect I wanted.
I then took my embossing folder and ran the cardstock through my Vagabond. I went around the edges with some Ranger ink and added the inked angel who is by Stamp Francisco.  The sentiment is ???? I don't know. Both are wooden stamps and the name was not on it.  I added some sequins and Nuvo drops.

I like big cups and I cannot lie

OH you probably heard me laughing as I made this card.. I love the sentiment and knew what I wanted to do. I started with a stencil and Ranger ink and created the brick background. I then stamped the Tech. Tues. coffee cup and Mama Elephant bear. I heat embossed the Tech. Tues. sentiment  on a piece of QQ scraps and then tore the paper around it. I colored the images with Mission paints. I added some Christmas colors around the coffee cup. I used a greenery punch from Martha Stewart and QQ scraps an did the greenery on the wall with red bling. I added a Recollection Santa hat. I added a little white gel pen to the bear back.. I think maybe I should of used a brown pen..  This is another CAS card. This is a great coffee set from Tech. Tues. have you checked them out??
this is another card for the Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop. Are you playing along??

Coffee is hug in mug

Monday December 11, 2017

Oh my I am loving the Gerta Steiner images.. I have used them for my last few cards. They are so darling and fun to create with.. I am still making cards for the Winter Coffee lovers blog hop.. This card I started with a stencil and Ranger ink and created the background. I then used a Paper Trey ink die for the circle.  I stamped the hedgehog and coffee cup by Gerda Steiner and painted with my Mission paints.  I fussy cut the images out. I used a white gel pen to give dots on the coffee to go cup. I stamped the Tech. Tues. sentiment and used a Stampin Up punch. I went around the sentiment with Quick Quote chalk ink. Another CAS card.. isn't this hedgehog darling?..

All you need is love (and more coffee)

Sunday December 10, 2017

Good morning.. Have you had your coffee today? or what ever beverage that gets your motor running...
I have a 20 oz. coffee every day in the morning and once in a while later in the day I do another one but that is seldom.
Todays card is for the Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop that I am playing in. I know it doesn't look too winter-ish but had my son who lives in Vegas where it's cold (to him at 60 degrees) and the brown grounds and blue skies.. Winter weather doesn't have to always be snow.. but the squirrels having winter hats on makes it more of a winter scene.
I started by using my cloud and ground templates and Ranger inks. I then stamped and colored with Mission paints the images by Gerta Steiner, Tech. Tuesday, Simon Says and Reverse Confetti. I stamped the Tech. Tuesday sentiment. I then laid out the images. I love the Reverse Confetti hats and they fit pretty good on the squirrels heads. I added the coffee cups and added some Simon Says hearts. I went over the hearts with Spectrum Noir glitter pen.
