Aud Sentiments #124 - Sending lots of love

Thursday January 29, 2015

Our sponsor for these two  weeks is Lacy Sunshine

I chose to use the image Rory Love Letters   She is so cute, love the big eye(s) and fun look.  I had fun coloring her but the longer hair scares me trying to color it and making it the way I wanted. I kept going back to it as I colored the rest of her. I almost ran out of sentiment room AND IT'S A MUST AT AUD SENTIMENTS TO HAVE YOUR SENTIMENT ON THE FRONT.. I kept the sentiment simple using two Simon Says stamp sets to complete it.   I have been seeing a lot of banners so thought I would use the hearts die from Taylored Expressions. I added a small heart - stampin up, to kind of even it out.  I hope you enjoy and make your Valentine / Love card.. and post to Aud Sentiments.

Day 7 Catch the bug Friday / Recipe

Friday January 23, 2015

I know that Friday is Free Friday and there is a free Friday image at Catch the bug called RD Brain rain.. it's a darling bear holding an umbrella standing in the rain.  I did not use him on my card..

I then cut out three WISHING and layered them to give stability.. and the sentiment all from Simon Says.. I am not much of a clown person but I have to tell you I think this guy colored up really nice. I used the image clowning around.
I had this new die from Simon says the circles and thought it gave a nice look to go with the rings the clown is juggling.  I like the sentiment What's up? your amazing and then the inside being the birthday sentiment.  Think this will go to my great grandson. I did use the sentiment from Art Impressions as it's one of my favorite sentiments for birthdays and it goes so well with Stella. I kept this card kind a simple.                 Our second sponsor is Little Blue button stamps

This is the card I made using Miss Lilly coffee break  by Little Blue Button stamps and I wanted her to sit on the frame ledge. She is so cute.. almost too young to drink coffee.. I really like having these sitting images on a frame ledge. I did the same at Christmas time for a card. I liked the results. I added the allover stamp which is about kinds of coffees. Perfect for the frame. I added the chocolate twine to the bottom corner to give some interest. I had this awesome background yellow paper that is so touchy I love the feel of it. It was in a pack of papers a co worker gave me. It's so much fun to touch. I've put off using it because I did not want it covered up, thought this gave a good showing of it. Those silver dots are really raised and fun to rub your hands over. Added some buttons just because..

Day 4 Catch the bug Color challenge and New Release / Happy Birthday

Tuesday January 20, 2015

Welcome to day #4 of the Birthday bash.. Ya having fun yet??

I tried to stay with the colors above but had to throw in some others. I used the reddish color for her nose and her outfit some of the other colors.. OH this is one of the images from the Birthday Bash Set called Kidz clown tag.. cute huh. I also used a lot of the circles my DH and I punched out over Christmas break.. I knew they would come in handy. Sure saves time having them ready vs. having to punch them all out NOW.. (we just took a lot of my scraps and various circle punches and we both just punched and punched for a long time) It adds a lot of color and interest to the background and leaves just coloring the image to worry about. I like it.

I hope you play along and you could win the whole set of the Kidz clown images. You'll love it.

Artistic Inspiration Guest Designer spotlight / Anything goes with twist / Triangles

Monday January 19, 2015

Their sponsor is Fitztown  and I am using the image Cutie 8

This is my card using the image Cutie 8. I thought with the theme being Anything goes / Twist -Triangles, that this image was perfect. She has a triangle shape body plus she is holding a triangle piece of cheese. I die cut a piece of cheese yellow card stock and took my circle stamp by a muse and used versa mark ink and clear embossing powder to give a cheese look. The designer paper is from my minds eye with colorful triangles. I die cut another triangle and did the sentiment on it, also adding more circle in versa mark but not embossing. I am happy with the way this card came out.  I hope you play long at Artistic Inspirations.  Thank you for letting me be a guest designer.

Day 2 Catch the bug 5th birthday bash - Sketch / happy birthday

Day 2 Sunday January 18, 2015

Day two of the birthday bash at Catch the bug - Sketch

Just use the below sketch and make your card and post to the above link. Join us in a fun filled birthday party.. Party on !!!

This is my card using the above sketch.  WO hapbee birthday  is the image I used. Had to use some flowers on my card as it just was in need of them I though. These are one of my favorite.  Hubby and I took a LOT of scraps and punched out about 4 different size circles and scallop circles and these fun little flowers. So I have a large variety of colors and it's just for the grabs when needed. I love this and got rid of a lot of paper scraps. I had hubby while I was off at work punch out a bunch of leaves.. I just gave him a bunch of green papers and he just punched now and then so have a good variety there too.. For my card I used the scallop, circle, flowers and leaves. Sweet not having to take time out to punch some. I used an embossing folder for the background as when I was laying out the card it looked to plain.  This is a nice fun card and woo hoo another birthday card for a loved one.

Challenges:

Catch the bug Free Friday / Thanks for being awesome

Friday January 16, 2015

Friday and that means Free Friday at Catch the bug
Todays Free image is AKV SOCCER GIRL

This is my card using the free image. I took a manila tag and ranger inks and colored it.. using the water spritz and placing the card in the ink until I got the effect I wanted.  Then I used an embossing folder on the red/orange card and cut the corners to mimic the tag. Added some white floss, small piece of mesh and then cut the image out and used pop dots and raised her over the tags. I had a great sentiment from Verve and thought this would fit nicely. I thought it would be nice for a parent/ aunt/uncle/ friend to give the sport person in your life for a little encouragement card.   Win or loose it's how you play and being awesome.    I hope you head over to Catch the bug / Bugaboo and grab your free image.. Wednesday January 14, 2015

Welcome to Inspiration Destination weekly challenge

#16 and as always its ANYTHING GOES

Our week challenge is sponsored by Rick St dennis

This is the image I chose to use from Rick St dennis called Charlotte Chic  I love her fun look and sassy attitude.  I had no intention of cutting her out .. but when I was adding red to her hair it really ran/bled onto the white.. so I chose to cut her out vs. reprinting her as I wanted that red hair to go along with my color theme.  I had this 12x12 paper from Club scrap and it said hello gorgeous but beings I had to cut it down it now says he gor.. funny..
