It time for a new challenge over at

Theme - Chocolate

I thought about this theme for awhile... but thought my not use chocolate as a color vs. candy.. I love dark chocolate and I had some on my desk but not as a stamp.. lol... 

I used DCWV and paper as the background.. I stamped the Simon says ice cream and colored with copics. I used a Paper trey ink fancy circle die.  finished with a Tech. Tues. banner which I stamped the Simon says sentiment.

Theme: Anything goes / Gate fold card

I used Stampin up products.. This is a gate fold with one side being not as wide.. I like this fun technique for the front.. It's just squares folded and added to create the zig zag.. cool look and nice to see the other side of the designer paper. Added a little sentiment to the front..

Theme:  hedgehog

I thought I had some hedgehog stamps but didn't so I went to my digital images and found this cuttie from Polkadoodles. I colored with copics. I used cut out and added to the wood grain paper with a pinking scrap behind to give a little color. I added the sentiment and a few diamond for embellishments.

I am using the Clematis Trellis image. I colored with copics and added to a piece of pink card stock then the DCWV green. I stamped the Simon says sentiment and added a  few diamonds of the same color to the card.

Theme: Spring like birthday

If you're doing the blog hop you should of come over to my blog from Anne's .. Hasn't the DTmade some awesome cards? Great inspiration...

 This is my card. I bought a layered stencil and die from Amazon awhile back and now I am using it. I wasn't sure of where to use the colors but I think it came out pretty nice considering I started with white card stock... I used the dies and they came out nice. I thought they would have a large white edge but they didn't. I even have a few flowers left over. I then was looking for a good background and came across this orange which looked great so but plain so I used a Stampin up embossing folder. I laid out the design and and was happy with it. I used a Stampin up sentiment and die and finished with some black diamond painting drills.. I went over the flowers lightly with Spectrum Noir Sparkle brush. I like it and think I will create some other color flowers.

Theme: Anything goes / waterfall card

I love this card and surprised I have not made one sooner. It's rather quite easy if you watch a You Tube 5 times. LOL.. Plus have a friends help.. All products are from Stampin up.. There are three images to show the card in action. If you make this card the long strip which is what you pull for the waterfall to work - cut it at 9 inches vs. 8-5/8.. it's a little too short I thought.

I left the sentiment off the card as I didn't feel it needed one. I used Stampin up products. I like the short fold on the front so the inside paper shows. I didn't want to color the butterflies as I thought they looked stunning as the are. This can be a simple and effective card to give to someone

Theme:  Sketch which is below

This is the sketch to use

This is my take on the sketch and I used a SheepSki image .. I used a scrap of Quick Quote board paper and a couple of other scraps to create the sketch. I colored the image with copics. I used a white gel pen on the berries and used Spectrum Noir sparkle brush on the bells. I used My Favorite Things die and went around the edges with Quick Quote ink. I added to the card base. I stamped the Simon Says sentiment and added the three blings from Stampin up.

Theme: Retiform technique

I haven't done this technique in years.. I used masking tape and blocked off a section and added the Ranger ink and Hero arts image then moved the tape and blocked off another section and repeated till the card front was covered. I took Gold Liquitex paint and painted on the edges of the sections.  I see things I could of done different but I think it turned out nice.

Hello.. Fall has arrived in the pacific northwest.

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: make your own background using a stencil

I've used this stencil from Stampin up one other time and I did not like the way it came out. So I've put off using it and then thought ok, time to play and create - it's only paper and I have a trash can under my craft table... So I did the first stencil all over the card front. Then second stencil - ok I'm liking it so far.. I went on to the center two stencils.. I remembered last time I did the leaves as they should of been and didn't like they way the went with the flowers so didn't use them that way. I used one of the leaves to fill in the white areas on the front. I like it.. turned out to my satisfaction.. Ok now how to add the sentiment. I didn't want to cover the flowers so stamped the Tech. Tues. on vellum and added. I finished with some diamond drills. I cut it down just a little so I could add it to a piece of card stock. What do you think? I am liking layering stencils. I have a few. Now to create with them

This card is using Stampin up products. It was fun making it colorful and I love the card shape. See below photo. I used diamond drill to embellish the balloons. this makes me happy - but I will never go in one. My brother got married in one.. but this girl says no way..

Theme: Western - Horses, cowboys......

For my card I created the background using my cloud and ground template and Ranger ink. I stamped the horse and kitty and colored with copics and used the dies in the set. They are from Tech. Tuesday. I die cut the fence from Paper trey ink out of wood grain scraps. I die cut the greenery from My favorite things and colored with copics.  The sentiment is also from TT.

I made another Z fold card. I really like the style and can use up papers. Papers are from Stampin Up. I stamped the Lawn Fawn dog and gave a little color.. I used My Favorite Things circle die and added him to a piece of Quick Quote double sided card stock. I added the Lawn Fawn sentiment and cute from Tech. Tues. die. I finished with some diamond painting drills.

Our theme: Animals

For my card I used Stampin up image and My favorite things grass die. I used DCWV designer paper and cut strips of brown to create the frame. I added the grass to the yellow square and stamped the cute hippo on gray cardstock and added a little color with my copics. I finished with the sentiment also from SU and used my Tech. Tues. die.

Theme: Swing card

I had fun creating this card. I chose the Stampin up card stock and dp. I thought it looked like chicken scratch.. I used Spellbinder die and Finders Keeper chicken. I colored with copics.

I used Stampin up images. I was digging through my stash and found a couple. I stamped the dog and boy and thought needed more so stamped the cute tree/greenery and bird.. A nice spring day walk with your best friend.. I colored with copics and added the SU sentiment. I went around the sky with Ranger ink and added the card to a DCWV base.

Theme: Explosion Box 

This is the explosion box I made. The U-Tube I watched the wrong lid cut size so I made three lids before I got the right size. I will need to find something to do with the other two lids.. maybe use as a catch all for small die cuts as I create. Anyhow. I created the explosion box with Quick Quote base, and Stampin up lid and designer paper. The HB is My favorite things and dies. I used copics.

This is the box open. I created a base and added the balloons and cake. I really should of filled more in but I was so stressed making it and needed it done. Before I give (if I do) I will add more. lol
