Sketch challenge Deconstructed JenOH MY this has been one heck of a weekend. I had 9 scrapbook kits that needed completed in two days ...done ... then my Internet email carrier Centurylink decided it did not want to work so after hours and hours of waiting, trying different things and finally got a tech to help I set up a gmail account so I could send the photos, work sheets to the company... phew I only got one card made. The card below this post was made a week ago for the Unscripted group challenge but today this card was done in about an hour. I had it in my head what I wanted to do so that helped a lot and lucky being close to July 4th there are three challenges that are for Red, White and Blue .. so I have ONE card for FOUR challenges. ... Someone is looking out for me after all. But I really hate not making more cards. I love the outlet and relaxation of making cards..oh well there is next weekend..

Sunday June 19, 2011 HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all you fathers, dads, father-in-laws, step-fathers to everyone who has been blessed with the love of a child in any way. I hope your day is a wonderful.

Sweet Sketch One card THREE challenges.. The Sweet Stop SSS113 using the above sketch.. The Pink Elephant TPE103 http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/ using 3 pattern papers, 2 buttons, 1 punch 1 ribbon... and Bugaboo-Catch the bug Its a mans world theme http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/its-mans-world.html Ok my DH says the card is too busy but he does like it. I told him it is a smaller card and I needed the hill to be on grass vs just a strip of paper and if a smaller image you would loose too much detail. I am pleased with the way it came out. I wanted the number background as it more or less went with the sentiment.
Paper: MME lime twist.. Ink: Quick Quote green with envy, Ranger peeled paint.. Stamp: bugaboo digital image and words, TE balloon.. Accessories: glossy accents, SU punch scallop, LCS ribbon, TE buttons, floss, MFT grass die, Spellbinder circle die, Copics

OK after I posted the card below I was really really unhappy with the look, it was so small and dark and those were/are not the color of the card so I reloaded the card. I am going to try to get rid of the one below but if it doesn't work this top one is the good one. I am just having one of those days. Guess I need more coffee..

Sketch from Card Patterns

Challenge at Card Pattern #119... Made this cute little graduation card for a friend who just graduated from college. The colors are brighter than they look in the photo in fact the papers are Cosmo Cricket DeLovely and you know how bright those colors are. I just recently got Photo shop Element and I am not using it as it's confusing to me so I signed up for a four week (Mondays end of July and first three mondays in August) course at the college to learn and hope that once I do that my colors and images will come out a lot better. I have a good camera Nikon P90 and a light box but it's just missing something when I look at the original card.

Papers: TE card base, Cosmo Cricket DeLovely .. Ink: Quick Quote tahiti, pink cheeks, green with envy, Memento black .. Stamp: Bugaboo digital, PTI tag it's #4 ... Accessories: SU tag punch, Spellbinder die, Copics

Card Patterns sketch

Challenge at Card Patterns #118... I let the paper be the focal point for this card. I LOVE this background designer paper I really really love it and just wanted to use more and more but figured I'd keep it simple and I just did not want to cover it up either. The flower is some OLD and I do mean old seam binding from the 70's and I spritzed it with shimmers to get this lovely color and it just worked with the card so I gathered it and glued it to a circle backing and stuck the brad in it. I'm pleased with the way it came out.

Papers: Heidi Grace designers, card base TE. Ink: Quick Quote green with envy, Memento black. Stamp: Hero Arts happiness. Accessories: seam binding, brad Pizzaz a plenty, EK punch
