Theme: Christmas critters

I chose the theme so hope you like it..

I had fun creating this card. I used papers from Quick Quote.. I stamped the Your next stamp deer and colored with copics. I used My favorite things die.. I stamped the Simon Says sentiment and  I embellished the collar with some gold diamonds..

Hello and Happy February 1st

We have a new challenge over at

Sparkles Christmas #169

Theme: A cup of Christmas tea

For my card I still have these beautiful Quick Quote scraps on my desk so I worked from that.. I stamped the Stamp Simply tea cup and sentiment and colored the cup with copics. I fussy cut it out. I die cut the white board piece with a My favorite things die and added the tea cup. I added that to the background and added that to a red piece. I wrapped  Stampin up cord around the edge and added the whole piece to the white card base. I added the two sentiments. I used Spectrum Noir sparkle brush to the tea (or coffee for me)

Theme: Warm and Cozy

This image is so cute and it looks cozy and fun.. The image is from Gillian Roberts I colored with copics. The sentiment is from Simon Says stamped with Stampin up ink. I used a die without a name and added to the top to fill the space and used copics to give color and added a diamond drill to each berry. I added to a piece of Stampin up card stock and then mounted on a DCWV card stock.

Hello and Happy December 1st

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: Christmas song or carol

For my card  I saw this sentiment from Simon Says and thought lets do a different Christmas card.. I had water colored some papers awhile back and just put in a container.. I sometimes do this with paints that are just on my blending plate.. I figure I can use is some time or another.  So I took black card stock and used my Paul Reuban metallics and some white and splattered on the black.. Then set aside to dry and got out my watercolor strips and My favorite thing star dies and cut them. Then heat embossed the sentiment. I laid out the stars and the center one I used puffy dots. I like the way it came out. Hope it inspired you.

Hello 

We have a new challenge over at

Sparkles Christmas Challenge #166

Theme: Snowflakes

I used different Simon Says snowflakes and stamped them all over the front. I used embossing powder and heat set. I then took Ranger ink and using 4 different colors blended them over the snowflakes. I stamped the Hero arts sentiment that I colored with Ranger and cut it down and added to the card front. I finished with some round diamonds from left over diamond painting projects.

I dug through my Christmas papers and found this cute piece. So I used my Taylored expressions images and stamped them and the sentiment. I colored with copics. I used Spectrum on the snow ground, hat trim and ball.  I added a little ribbon banners.

Time for a new challenge over at

Sparkles Christmas Challenge #164 

Theme: Sentiment as focal point

I used DCWV paper as the background. I used Vellum and stamped the Stampin up sentiment with Stazon. Set it aside to dry as I work on the rest of the card..  I used My favorite things leaves and colored with Copics. I punched out some flowers from two different red with Stampin up punch. I added the vellum wrapping around to the back of the card and added the flowers along the side to hide the adhesive and added the piece to the with card base. I finished with some diamond drill crystals.

We have a new challenge over at

Theme: Christmas critters

Boy it's hard to make a Christmas card when it's so hot out. We don't have AC so we use fans and they just aren't cooling it off enough.. Hope you're all doing fine and staying cool.. I added a snow scene thinking it would help me stay cool.. lol.. I used the snowflakes from Stampin up set and used Simon says die for the snow area. I stamped the Reverse confetti images and colored with copics. I stamped the sentiment from SS.

Theme: hand made ornament or ornaments

So..... I used the Stampin up punch AGAIN. I can't help it.. with so many pretty papers it's not hard to chose the punch again. I used DCWV papers and love the glitter and colors. I added to the background which I stamped Merry Christmas from Denami designs. I added twine and a few diamond painting drills to the top of the ornament.

Theme: Use Dies

I used some DCWV papers and used the Lil Inker embossing stitch die for the base. I used Stampin up ornament punch and created 5 ornaments. I used SU twine. The sentiment I stamped on a Tech. Tues die and added some Ranger ink. I love the masculine look of the card.

Theme: Ribbon or Twine

I chose the theme this time and then didn't know what I wanted to do. I ended up using Stampin up designer paper and Simon Says images colored with Copics. I added the sentiments and used a SU punch. I added the ribbon and some punched SU flowers that I added diamond drills to the centers.

Time for a new challenge over at

Theme: Non traditional colors

Who would of thought black Christmas tree dp but I obviously have it. I took my stamp set from Stampin up and stamped the image and used Kat Scrappiness die and cut it out. I cut a white piece to put behind it but I didn't like it white so I took Ranger ink and smeared it over the die cut. I added to the card and finished with Nuvo drops on the tree. I feel this is non traditional colors.

I chose the cool greenish plaid. I stamped the Hero Arts Merry Christmas and trees. I used brown plaid for the trunks of the trees but it's so small you can't tell. I took a scrap of Quick Quote paper and tore and added it for the ground.

It's time for a new challenge over at

Theme: Kraft card

I took Paul Ruben metallic watercolors and used the gold and light pink and splattered over the kraft. I set it aside to dry. I used the Stampin up punch and using scraps punched out the 3 ornaments. I then punched out 3 more from card stock and stacked. I wanted the ornaments to have volume. I used Stampin up cord and added the ornaments to the card. The sentiment is from Paper trey ink.

New challenge over at 

Sparkles Christmas challenge #156

     theme: winter wonderland        

I was digging through my scraps of Christmas papers and found these.. So I took my triangle dies and created the trees and I had a scrap of brown so cut trunks. A piece of white scrap I cut some hills/slopes and added Ranger ink to create snow. I I then added to the background snow looking sky. I finished with the cute deer from Simon Says and cut from scraps. I love when you can use up scraps.

Our theme is

Animal or bird

I used Simon says stamp and colored with copics. I found this floral scrap from Quick Quite so using Spellbinder oval dies cut them out. I them used Stampin up dots stamp used versa mark on the background but it didn't come out too good so I went over it with white. I like the a hint of a design. I finished with Nuvo drops on the frame and a gem on his nose.

Our them this month is

Christmas flowers or foliage 

 For my card I took a snowflake embossing folder and looked a little blah so took a gold embossing ink and lightly went over the raised image to give it color. I then took the My favorite things die and red and green Stampin up card stock and cut out the flower. I used Ranger in to give some color so it didn't look so flat. I added the Stampin up sentiment and used a Tech. Tues. banner die. I finished with some bling.

Hello

Time for a new challenge over at 

Sparkles Christmas Challenge #152

Our theme is

Build a snowman

So to start I had to think what was I going to do.. So started with watercolor paper and prima watercolor and just created a background.. I let it dry for a day then splattered bleed proof white all over it..  Now what am I going to do????? Build a snowman.. that's the theme. I cut a couple circles and using Ranger ink gave a little color to soften the white of the paper.. I found some branches and added them and some diamond drills from left over diamond paintings.. now the head, I cut another circle and it was too big so  using scissor I cut it a little smaller and laid it down. added more diamonds for the face, a copic nose.. I thought it needed a hat so I die cut Tim Holtz. I cut a small orange scrap and wrapped it around for hat band..  I cut the two deer out of scraps.. the background just needed something. Their saying.. what's that crazy lady doing?

Time for a new challenge over at

Sparkles Christmas Challenge #151

Our theme is

Christmas food

I don't have Christmas food so I chose candy canes and marshmallows for my food.. lol of course the hot chocolate is a must, I love putting a candy cane in the hot chocolate for that great peppermint taste, I used the Simon says mug and colored with copics. I added a few fuzz balls to look like marshmallows and added to the DCWV paper and found the print saying. the circle is Tech. Tues die.
