This is my card using the Gerda Steiner images. I created the background first by painting some leaves/branch and berries. I used Mission Gold watercolors on everything. I let it dry and used My favorite things circle die. I used the GS dies for the images. I added them to the card base and stamped the GS sentiment on a scrap of the wc background and added.

Seattle rain festival - Make My Monday #160

We have a new challenge over at

our theme is

E(scape) create a scene, sea/land/river/country or city scape

Boy this sentiment is so true. We've had quite a bit of cold weather. It's so gray and rainy and windy.. The news has been showing the pacific ocean high waves. it's amazing. Our lights have been flickering all day.. 

Of course since I am from Seattle and still live in Washington state but couple hours out of Seattle I had to use this land scape of the downtown Seattle with the Space Needle from Love you to bits.  I love that we are on the Pacific ocean and water is never far away as long as you're in western WA.  Since we get our fair share of rain I had to use this sentiment (don't know who it's by) I heat embossed it on some Stampin up vellum and added to a blue scrap.  I created the blue gray clouds with my cloud template and Ranger ink. I added some Tech. Tues. birds and some Pretty Pink Posh jewels. The bottom water is Ranger ink.

It's time for a new challenge over at

Alphabet Challenge 

Our theme this challenge is

-O- for OUTDOORS

I used a Newtons Nook stencil and texture paste to create the background. I spritzed with glitter while wet so it has a little sparkle to it. I stamped the Gerda Steiner dog and colored with copics. I used Simon Says circle die and a scrap to create the circle. I used some Stampin Up vellum and Paul Ruben metallic paints and gave it some shimmer. I adhered it behind the circle and added the doggie on foam dots. I stamped the GS sentiment and heat embossed (I used a dark copic to give color and it's lighter in the photo but in real it's darker more of a blue vs. turquoise) I added glossy accents to the collar and nose.

This little girl is cat lady.. I colored her with copics. I love giving different colors of hair to these cute images. I added her to a piece of card stock and then DCWV dp. I added some scraps and Nuvo drops along the side and the sentiment was a sticker and I don't remember what company.

For my princess I used a Bugaboo image. I colored her with copics and used some Simple stories dp. I added the birthday sentiment from Paper Trey Ink. The other sentiment I am not sure who it's by. I created this watercolor background awhile back. I was trying to get some different ideas on watercolor backgrounds and didn't like what I had done so I just spritzed the whole background and got this cool effect when it dried. So I chose this for the water background and using My Favorite Things images I painted with Mission Gold watercolors. I laid out the scene and it was missing a rock so I just used some gray copic and cut it out so it kinda looked like a rock. I heat embossed the sentiment.

Our theme this challenge is

-N- for NO LAYERS

doesn't need to be cas just no layers

I am using the Simon Says stamp set for this card. I masked off the images as I stamped. I seldom do this but I knew what I wanted to do so that kinda helps and I watch Kelly Taylor do this a lot so this has helped me so much in knowing what to stamp first. I loved that I used white card stock so the panda were just inked up and no copic coloring. I guess I could of done some shading but I liked the crisp white look. I used copics. I used my ground and cloud template and Ranger ink. I added some Spectrum Noir sparkle brush to a few of the images.
