November 18- 2013
I had a strip of vellum from another project left over so I thought ok this is good, it's not a tag or book mark but an actual different project than I've done in the past. This is good and could make nice present if need be.
I found an old green glass votive holder and it was scratched up and looking terrible so thought great this would be a good piece to cover and still be useful. I am loving the way it came out and the green from the glass gives a nice look to the vellum. I took the SU whimsy wheel and versa mark and rolled it on the vellum and applied white embossing powder, heated it and then scallop die cut the top with a su punch. taped the back side seam with vellum tape. Found this darling snowman digi warm wishes and lightly colored it and added some wink of stella glitter to it and taped it to the vellum. I love this project. Of course it I were to give these out I would buy a nice votive holder and not use this scratched up one. But this is mine and unless you removed the vellum you'd never know.. LOL

This is wonderful all the way around. How very clever and adorable. And, you used scraps and not so pretty glass candle holder and made it beautiful. Yes, it came out beautifully!!!

ReplyDeletePretty altered item using vellum & snowman image. Like how you put this together. Definitely would make a wonderful gift but I'd be tempted to keep it for myself. Thank you for entering OSAAT Ch190 Anything Goes.
