Hello, Hello, Hello - Do - Al (l) creative challenge #30

Saturday June 1, 2019

Hello and I am so excited Summer is my fun time. I love the heat.. not that Washington State gets that hot.. mid 70's and 80's.. yes we have gotten hotter but its not often..

So are you ready for a fun challenge from
We have a fun theme. I have never made this kind of card before..
The theme is Lift card..  what is it you ask.. Well it is as you'll see below on my card..  you add a tag to the out side of your card and on the inside of the card are two more tags.. One you lift and reveals the sentiment  or image.. It's better to just see my card to see what it all means.

Oh so this is the front of my card.. I used some My minds eye script paper and some bakers twine. I then used a Tim Holtz tag and created the background with my cloud template. I then used Lawn Fawn trees, hills, houses and hearts and die cut them out. I used copics to color the houses and scraps to create the trees. The ground is with Ranger ink. I stamped the Simon says hello.

Ok so the inside top tag ..the lift tag.. again another TH tag. More twine and I used my cloud and ground template to create the background. More scraps for the tree and copic for the house color.  I just used the outline die for the hearts.

so now we are on the reveal part .. the sentiment. I colored the TH tag with Ranger and added the Stampendous sentiment and a little SS heart. I added some scraps to the background before I adhered the tag down..

Monday May 27, 2019

Hello and welcome back to my blog and my card for the new challenge over at Always Fun Challenge #112
Our theme is GRADUATION

It's almost that time of the year for graduation.. I wanted to keep this simple but feminine. So I used an embossing folder and embossed the Stampin up card stock and added a few blings to the flower centers. I then die cut the Impression Obsession female grad three times and layered them.  I then die cut the congrats three times and layered them. I added these to the card and went over the word with Nuvo glitter pen.
I hope I have given you an idea for a grad card and I cant wait to see what you come up with.. I need more ideas..

Text me - Colour Crazy Challenge #20

Friday May 24, 2019

It's me again with another card for the challenge today over at Colour Crazy challenge #20 ..
I picked an image but forgot which one I chose (lost my note) so I picked the flying kite image and made it.. then questioned myself more.. hum did I chose that image or not.. so after taking with our boss lady. she saw that I requested this image.. Lil Miss.. so now I am adding this card.  I love Polkadoodles images so it was a pleasure to get to work with both. I am making this two posts for this challenge as I don't like two cards in a post. Too confusing for me and challenges I enter.

Our sponsor is Polkadoodles

This is the card I made using the image Lil Miss and her "text me". I colored her with copics and used My favorite things dies to cut  the image and sentiment out. I found this designer paper and thought it went well with the text me sentiment. I added some Nuvo glitter to her hair ribbons and phone. I went around the edge of the sentiment with Quick quote chalk ink. I finished with some acrylic hearts.

I am using the image called Flying a kite. I started with using copics to create the background. I then colored the image with copics. I used Ranger ink and blending tool and swiped it over the sky area so it looked like a windy day. I added this to a piece of Basic Gray designer paper. I tied a piece of twine across the bottom half and used some scraps of red so it mimicked the kite tail. I used Rubber baby sentiment as it made me laugh. The kite is going up so the What's up? seemed to fit.

You are Mermazing - Crafty Gals Corner #192

Wednesday May 22, 2019

Hello.. It's time for another challenge over at
Our theme this challenge is FANCY FOLDS

Our sponsor for this challenge is:

                                 MoonFlower Digistamps
                                Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

I went to U-tube and found a fancy fold. I really don't do them often so that is my go to place when I need something soon.  This one was pretty simple. The card was to be a lot bigger so I scaled it down to A2 size.. I think I should of had the front part shorter so it could rest on the two inner doors.. But this card will probably just go in my stash and not be sent out.. I used the image called Gigi little mermaid.  So I found some DCWV scraps and used them for the background. I then found some Bazzill paper. I wanted a color vs. just white base as I usually do. I colored the image with copics I went over different parts with glitter and the flower in her hair with Nuvo glitter pen. I then used Simon Says wonky die and went over the background with Newton's nook wave stencil and Ranger ink. I added this to a script background that has words regarding the ocean but the image pretty much covered that up. I then added the My favorite things sentiment and heat embossed it on vellum. I added some sequin dots. The little flip door area I added some MFT sea coral and seaweed.
side view of the left little door panel.

The other side view of the little panel. If the blue front flap was shorter it would rest on the little side doors.

This is Nuts about my dad.. There is a sentiment that comes with this image but I chose not to use it.. I used My Favorite Things stitch die and tied a piece of Jillibean twine around the card. I adhered this to a piece of scrap designer paper.

Happiest birthday wishes - Always Fun Challenge #111

Monday May 20, 2019

Hello.. Today over at Always Fun Challenge #111
we have a new challenge

the theme is COLOR.. see color chart below

This is the card I made. I did this all with water colors. Altenew water colors. I started with creating the blue background on water color paper and when I got the colors I liked I then splattered the dark blue on it and then some white Dylusion paint.  The flowers  are from Pretty Pink Posh and are heat embossed white and then using the Altenew paints I painted them. I love the look and fun feel and colors. I then die cut them out and for the greenery I used scissors and cut as much of the over hang white card stock off that I could. I wanted a cleaner look. I then laid the flowers and greenery out till I got the scene I liked and carefully adhered down with adhesive and foam dots. I then stamped the Stampin up sentiment and heat embossed.
