Happy little stampers - You are marvelous

hello.. Well is fall in the air in your part of the world?  Kids getting back to school soon, and soon the holidays will be coming. I hope you had a great summer. 

Today we have a new challenge over at 

Happy little stampers watercolor 

Our theme is 
Anything goes / opt. layers

This is such a fun way to create an awesome background. I saw it months ago and tried again. Sorry don't remember who I first saw do it.. 

I took watercolor paper and just did some colors I thought would look good together and just brushed them all over the paper.  I set it aside to day for a couple days.. then I took an embossing folder and the flat side I smeared black in on it and then I carefully laid the painted side down in the black ink and added a couple pieces washi tape to hold in place and closed the raised side to close it. Run it through your machine.. then when you open it you have this beautiful piece. 

I didn't want to cover it with any images so just went for the sentiment and 3 gems..

Hobbies

I thought and thought.. I make cards, crochet, quilt, paint and latest,  diamond paintings.. then thought I don't have too many that fit those hobbies in stamps and then this tool set caught my eye.. Then I  said it doesn't have to be all about me .. there's lots of other hobbies. people like to do wood projects and this fits a lot of wood hobbies. I thought the cute sentiment fit.. When I tried something to make when it complete I think ok  I did it..

Time for a new challenge over at

Alphabet challenge

Our theme is

K - Kitchen - anything related to food

I used some awesome 3-D stickers.. Home sweet home for the kitchen and the heart because the heart of the home is the kitchen and where awesome meals are made and awesome sweet foods. I love cherries and to me this is a cherry pie made from the heart of the house.. the kitchen. We have a few cherry trees in our little orchard and we picked a bunch of our cherries and I made cherry sauce. It's good over ice cream,  I put on my yogurt most mornings. Good on Swedish pancakes.. Oh the background I just took Prima watercolors and  spritzed with water after I added some colors just to make a lose color effect. Once dry I spattered some black paint and let it dry before I added the stickers.

Our theme is

Going to the beach

I love going to the beach. I've only seen whales farther north from us but was so cool. I see other fish in the water or from people fishing on the piers.. The beach is a favorite place for me. I feel so calm, relaxed, grounded. I love the sound of the waves. We're luck to be on in the pacific northwest and have easy access to the beach. It's not far from us.  Anyway this card is using Stampin up inks, images and papers. It was fun to make.

Our letter this month is

J - for Jungle animals

I used elephants for a Stampin up set I have. I used some gray ink and added some Ranger ink to the bottom ground and sky.. I added a border strip to the top and bottom from a Quick quote card stock I had. Then added to the DCWV card stock.  I didn't know what sentiment I wanted so just used Simon says hello die and made it look like a shadow behind. I finished with some diamond art diamonds.

Our theme is 

A summer day

I dug out my CC designs image. I have a few of them and the images are so cute. I decided to use Surfin Emma,, I colored her with copics and created the ground. I used a little Ranger in the back of her for water and sky. I added her to a piece of scrap and DCWV paper. I went over parts of the image with spectrum noir sparkle.

I am using this cute image from Polkadoodles. Rocco .. I colored him with copics and used Ranger ink for the sky. I used a white gel pen for high lites. I added him to some designer paper and added the sentiment on a Stampin up die.

I struggle with the music notes I don't know if they are upside down or not. anyway they are what they are.. I stamped the Paper tray ink music notes on a piece of Basic grey card stock. I went around the edges with Ranger in. I stamped the Judi kins image on a piece of scrap. I added the sentiment and diamond drills.

Aud Sentiments #304 has a new challenge for August

Our theme is

Not a rectangle and or washi tape

I decided to do both, I used a My favorite thing die and first covered with card stock with three different washi prints. I then used the die to cut two pieces and then made a fold on the back piece close to the top and just added adhesive to that top area and added the front. I added a Quick quote sentiment which is on vellum and added the Stampin up leaves and flowers to help hold it down. I added a few gems to to flowers.

Hello

We have a new challenge over at 

Happy little stamper - watercolor

theme... ANYTHING GOES WATERCOLORED/ opt. HAPPY

I started by creating a card and thought why not use this for my calendar page so this is what I did. 

For years now a group of us ladies make 12 calendar pages  and then my crafty friend uses my Cinch binder machine and puts all the pages together of all our assigned months and we get a lovely fun 12 month of joy to look. This is my image before I added the Aug. calendar.. Below is the finish product. 

I used Stampin up images and dies. I used Prima water colors to create 12 backgrounds and water colors strips of watercolor paper so I could die cut the flowers, grasses and tub for the flowers. I added some diamond drills to some of the flowers. I used copics to color the hippo.. 

    This is the finished page along with everyone elses awesome pages to look at and enjoy each month. When the calendars were put together I got a different one than the one above.. so you can obviously see there were 12 different ones.. lol

I don't have Christmas food so I chose candy canes and marshmallows for my food.. lol of course the hot chocolate is a must, I love putting a candy cane in the hot chocolate for that great peppermint taste, I used the Simon says mug and colored with copics. I added a few fuzz balls to look like marshmallows and added to the DCWV paper and found the print saying. the circle is Tech. Tues die.
