Welcome to another challenge at Always fun challenge.

Our theme for this week is BIRTHDAY

 

 

I stared my birthday card by using Oxide inks and created the background. I then stamped the Paper Trey ink birthday.. I found some left over scraps of plaid and using a My Favorite Things die cut I cut the banners. I folded them over the twine and added this to the card front. I tied some bows and added at the edge of the twine and finished with the sequins.

Our theme this month is ZODIAC  what's your zodiac sign?

So November is my birth month and so Scorpio the scorpion is my zodiac sign BUT... I don't have a stamp with this image SO... I went to the Chinese Lunar sign and put in my birthday month and year and they said PIG.. So PIG is my Lunar - sign.. In Chinese culture, pigs are the symbol of wealth. Pigs have a beautiful personality and are blessed with good fortune.  So for my year, month  it's the PIG..  That made me happy because I have some pig images.. I used Sugar Pea pig and sentiment for my card. I stamped the images and colored with Zig markers. I used the My favorite things circle die and then stamped the sentiment on a piece of pink scrap. This card really made me smile as I remember I use to be really good with the hula hoop when I was a lot younger.

Hello.. I wanted to play in the craft room and just create so this is what I did.

I started by using Altenew paint and painted the sky and grass on the card base.. I then stamped the Simon Says images on water color paper and painted using the Altenew paint.  I used white gel pen on the one egg for added texture. I went over the egg circles and bunny's feet with Nuvo glitter pen. I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says and heat embossed the black strip. I fussy cut the images out and added them to my card. I love the feel of the card and cute images.

 Today over at Bugaboo stamps we have another

Free Friday image.

I hope you can head over to the Catch the bug site and see what the design team created with this image.

 

 

This is the image called "RDB side rain"..  I picked a sentiment that had rainbow in it but after making the card I ran out of room so only used part of the Simon says sentiment. leaving out the rainbow part.. I colored the image with copics and fussy cut the image. I used SS rainbow die and Ranger inks to color each arch. I then grabbed some Quick quote scraps and Taylored Expressions cloud die. I added a little Ranger ink on the clouds. I added all of this to the card base.

I am using the image called Dumb Bell Derek..  I colored him with copics. I then used Basic Grey designer papers and Ranger ink to distress the edges. I cut the image out with My favorite things die.. The sentiment is from Annticipations.  it's an old stamp on wood. I love this fun image. Dr. Digi's image are so much fun to work with.

I am using the image called coffee lovers.. There are some sentiments and other images in the set but I only used the girl. I fussy cut her out after I colored her with copics. I then got a piece of Kraft cardstock and took Stampin up ink and Hampton arts background stamp. I cut this down so there weren't any edges. I went around the edge with Ranger ink. I found a piece of scrap paper from Quick Quote. I layered the pieces and then stamped the sentiment from Stamp simply and using a SU die cut it out. I added a twine bow. I finished off with some sequins.

I am using the fun image called Kidz boy puppy.. I love the cute little image. I colored him with copics. I then layered him on some Echo Park designer paper. I liked the masculine feel it gave. I embossed the Simon says sentiment and added some twine.  It was quite a fun easy card to make.

I am using the image from The Paper Girls.. The image is Ellie with Flowers.. I colored her with copics and using my cloud template and Ranger for the background. I used My favorite things stitch die. I laid this out on the designer paper. I saw that it was needing more interest so I added a few strips of paper to the left and some bakers twine. I then stamped the Simon Says sentiment on a scrap and added this to the bottom.

This cute little image is called Easter chick with flower.. I decided not to make this an Easter card so I made it an inspire me card. I colored the image with copics. I went over the flower and head bow with Nuvo glitter pen. I used Spellbinder die to cut the image out.. shock no stitch die for this one.. LOL.. I added this to a piece of designer paper. I wrapped some twine and tied a bow and added the Simon Says sentiment. I added a few sequins .. which are hard to see.. but who ever gets the card can see them. I love the spring feel this card gives and smiles it will bring.

#103 challenge is USE KRAFT

 

I have been thinking of making this card since I received the Simon says stamp set a few months back.. Well I finally did it. I started by stamping the image on kraft with black ink. I then used Fabre Castell color pencils and then when that was done I put the piece back in the Misti and re-stamped with Versa mark and used Antique gold SS embossing powder.  I love the contrast. I then used a scrap of Quick quote paper and cut out the SS Love and layered it 5 times. I then used the same antique embossing powder and stamped the SS sentiment. I finished by adding some Stampin up jewel blings.

I am not pleased with this card but I made it .. so I am sharing it.. I liked the background but the owls are just too big. Oh well.

 I am using Tech. Tuesday owls and sentiment. I colored them with Mission paints and using the die cut. I have this fun background paper with the little birds on it and thought it would be fun to add the owls.. This is another CAS card.. super fast to make..

Another Mother's day card and doing the Oxide ink smooching. I love this flower stamp from Simon Says. I love the open flowers and leaves so it picks up so many of the awesome colors. I cut the bottom half off and layered onto blue cardstock. I took some SS stamps and Versa Mark and stamped the hearts and circles. I finished with some sequins.

Get well soon - Chicken soup - Bugaboo Free Friday

Welcome to my blog.. Today is the perfect day to get a get well image over at Bugaboo.. Check out the design teams creations using this fun image over at Catch the bug.

 

 

This image is called "KC soup".. I automatically thought of doing a get well card because that is what I think of when I see chicken soup.. the chicken soup part comes with the image.  I added the get well soon which is by Stamp Simply. I colored the image with copics and used Lil inker stitch die.  I added this image to a Quick quote scrap. I added some silver sequins. I added some Nuvo glitter pen to the soup and spoon. this image would be simple to fussy cut out so you wouldn't have the chicken soup part.. or if your computer smart you can delete the words. I wouldn't know where to start or do it.. This could be a nice thank you for lunch card, in hot water - trouble card.. lets do lunch card..

I am using the image called Heart's a flutter.. I always loved Lacy Sunshine images and was surprised that she changed the name of the company.. but soooo happy that she's still drawing and sponsoring. I went with the optional theme for the challenge  - making it square.. I don't do square cards so it was kinda fun creating a completely different shape. It measures 4.25x4.25  I used Quick quote scraps and My favorite things die. I found some fun image scraps I don't know the company but liked the fun it brought to the card. I colored the image with copics. I used a D.O.T.S. sentiment.

This is my card using the image Gina Cupcake.. I colored the image with copics and went over some of the image with Spectrum Noir sparkle pen and white gel pen. I then used My favorite things stitch die. I added this to a piece of Basic Gray designer paper. I stamped Simon says and Paper pretties sentiments and added them and sequins to the card.

I am using the image Tulip.. I love the thought of spring and fun brighter spring colors. I found this fun designer paper.. I used it and added a strip of teal to bring out the blue in the DP. I then colored the image with copics and used my cloud template and added some grass. I added her flat to the card. I stamped the Hero Arts sentiment and heat embossed I layered it on a piece of pink card stock and using foam dots added this to the card. I finished with a few sequins and gems.

This image is Bugaboo Brat Baseball girl.. I colored her and created the background with copics. I used my cloud template. I then cut the image out with My favorite things stitch die. I pieced together some Echo park papers and added the Tech. Tuesday sentiment. I went over her bubble gum bubble with Nuvo glitter pen. This little Bugaboo brat is so cute.

Today is Monday so over at Catch the bug

it's ANYTHING BUT a CARD.. ABC

 

 

So I made a book mark for my ABC project.  I took a Tim Holtz tag and then I traced around the monkey image which is BM topper.. and adhered the image to the tag. I colored the image with copics. I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says and then there was so much white space I took couple different Washi tapes and added them. I punched a hole to the top of the tag over the one from the TH tag. I took a tag enforcer that I had stamped and colored over the hole. I put the ribbon through it and tied some twine around the ribbon to hold it. I think this will go into my bible study book.. It's perfect in my eye.

Being a dog lover (which you can probably tell by me using 4 different stamp companies for my card).. I have two awesome loving sweet dogs that we rescued and they are my precious little ones.

For my card I used Mama Elephant frame die and then used Ranger ink and did the color behind it. I used foam tape so it's raised. I then stamped the dogs from Mama Elephant, My Favorite Things, Sugar Pea and Gerda Steiner. I colored with copics and fussy cut them all out. I stamped the sentiment and then added the doggies to the card. I love the fun look on their faces. The Yappy Birthday is perfect.. for my three fur babies next hair cut I am giving this to the groomer. His birthday is day after the cut.. I think he will enjoy it.. along with a cupcake.

Birthdays are like shooting stars

This is my card. I wanted to used this Taylored Expressions image and sentiment. With the sentiment talking about shooting stars..  I needed a night time sky. So I took a piece of Bristol paper and created the ground using my ground template and then created the sky using Ranger ink. I needed some stars so I took Perfect Pearls and watered the powder down and using the handle tip of a paint brush I created the circles (stars) after they dried I took a glitter sparkle pen and added some lines to a few of the stars to give a star look. I then went through my scraps and using Simon says died I cut the house and trees. I added them to the background piece. Then using My favorite things circle die I cut the piece out. I curved the sentiment (there was a little curve to it already I just curved fixed it so it fit the curve better) I added the rest of the sentiment below. I then stamped the sheep and lightly colored with copics and fussy cut it out and added it to the card.. I sure love this fun look and will be trying this on more cards.
