Always Happy Birthday #11  Our theme for November is BIRTHDAY ANYTHING GOES / OPT: FALL COLORS  

 

Fall colors.. Wow there are so many that can be used so I went through some paper pads (My minds eye and Basic gray)  and chose some different patterns. I used Simon Says stitch leaf die and cut out a bunch of leaves. I went around the edges with some Ranger ink. I also used SS wreath die and cut out two different colors.. well the leaves buried them.. I guess I just got carried away adding leaves. I added Goosebumps gems around the wreath. I stamped the sentiment and added this across the wreath. I rounded the corners and thought this looked like a plaque now.  I used an embossing folder on the rust card stock and then added a brad and tied the twine around it. I stapled the twine to the corners of the wood plank wreath.

Today Bugaboo has a new release (kinda)

This is the image called Crow trio.... I again pieced the background using Recollection papers.. Notice the bottom left piece has a crow.. thought it fit the card.. I pieced the fun background. I then die cut the image with Spellbinders die. I colored the image with copics an used my cloud template. I used a silver pen and gave high lights to the birds. I added them to the card base. I then used Tech. Tuesdays sentiments and cut them apart to fit the card. .. I thought it fit the image.

Are you ready for another fun challenge??

 Well Always Fun Challenges #82 has one..

The theme is HALLOWEEN 

I wanted to make a fun card that could be Halloween but not at the same time. but looking at it after I got started I think it's more Halloween. Oh well.  I started by stamping the CC designs dragon image on water color paper then added Tim Holtz (crazy bird accessories) the pumpkin and broom. I colored in the images with Mission paints and I painted the night sky and added stars with Kuretake white starry paint and flicked it on the card and my desk.. I even used a box to put the piece in.. how I managed to get it on my desk I don't know.. I then took Reverse confetti sentiment and heat embossed it.  I think no matter what age you are chocolate makes everything better...

This is Stella Says Sketch #618

 

This is my card. I am using up so many scraps lately for my pieced backgrounds and this sketch and I don't even think I've made a dent.. lol

Any how for this card I used Club scrap and Quick Quote scraps.  I used the Bugaboo image called Violet teacup... Yea I know they aren't colored violet but that wouldn't of worked with the colors I wanted for my card.  I colored the image with copics and went over the flowers with Spectrum Noir sparkle pen. I fussy cut the image out.  The punched strip is from Martha Steward. The sentiment and v shape images are from Pink fresh soft stickers.

Welcome to another challenge at Catch the bug

Our theme is COLORS

I am using the image called BEE FLOWER

 

 

This is the color chart to follow

For my card I used some 12x12 designer paper that I cut into A-2 size pieces and this one happened to have the great blues I needed. I then took a piece of white paper and used a stencil I created using a PTI background die that looks like honey combs. I stenciled in Ranger inks and embossed it. I then used a My favorite things die to cut the honey comb shape. I colored the Bee Flower image with copics. I added some Spectrum Noir to the wings. I used a MFT circle die to cut the image out. I then used MFT sentiment and embossed it. I added some sequins to complete my card.

I'm back with a cute Free image from Bugaboo..

This is the cute image called Bugaboo Skunk.. I take it he's dressed up in a Halloween costume so that I what I had in mind when I created my card. I used a piece of My favorite things black and white strip paper ... after all he's a skunk.. black and white.. then again I got into my sleeve of Halloween papers and there was a sheet that had different frame on it so I cut this one out which included the orange, green, purple and a glitter black.. Which worked out perfect. I colored the image with copics and then fussy cut the image out. I added this to the frames. I used Heidi Grace sentiment Trick or treat and added this. I fussy cut some images from the designer papers and added them to the card.

This is my card using the fun image Scruff cup cake.. I kinda used the colors of one of my dogs.. I used copics. I then added some glossy accents and Spectrum Noir sparkle pen. I used Lil inker stitch die. I found some scraps of paper so created the background. I then used Simon Says happy birthday and cut the piece into a banner. I then added some Jubilee hearts.

This is the cute Kitty clown. I was trying to stay with the funny image and of course the funny sentiment.. I colored the image with copics. I used a white gel pen for some highlights.  I used a Simon Says candle and repeat stamped it with Ranger inks. I then stamped the sentiment which is by Art Impressions.. I used a My favorite things stitch die to cut the kitty out. I wanted to kind a keep the designer papers simple so it could be for male or female..

Perk Up! - Bugaboo New Release

Hello and welcome back to my blog.

 I have a new image (kinda- it's in the store now) from Bugaboo.. Check out the design teams creations over at Catch the bug.

 

 

So this background isn't pieced as much as my others have been lately but I really thought it best just to make it minimal . I used some designer papers from a Simon Says kit pack. I used My favorite things circle die and cut the image out.  I colored with copics and used Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on the coffee and top of the coffee pot. I then went over them with Glossy accents. I used a white gel pen to give dots to the pot. I was thinking of the old time blue ones.. But blue wouldn't work with the papers. The flowers in the dp are purple.. I went around the edge of the circle with Quick Quote chalk ink. The perk up! is separate but I added it to the pot.

Always Fun Challenges #81

Our theme is BLACK AND WHITE

 

When I saw the theme was BLACK AND WHITE... I knew what I want to do.

I have this Inkadinkado bamboo stamp so I stamped it and then used Mama Elephants pandas and stamped and die cut them out.  With the bamboo being smaller than the card base I drew a line around the area.. Still looked small so I added some washi tape to the bottom and right side. Ok it looked better. I added the pandas and for the sentiment I though one was tell the other that "you're the cutest!" and the other was saying no, "you're the cutest!"  .. I finished off the card with some TPS studio bling.

The challenge this week is BINGO

I am using the image called CUTE PUPPY

 

This is the BINGO card to follow

for my card I used the BINGO card starting in the lower left corner and went diagonal -3 layers / players choice -stencil / gems... I started by taking three different designer papers and layered them. I then took a piece of Bristol paper and using My favorite things stencil and circle die I created the sun rise with Oxide ink. I then colored the image with copics and fussy cut the image out. I added the Stampin up sentiment and gems are sequins.  Now you can see why the image is called Cute puppy

This is AKV Halloween scene.. I have a plastic sleeve with Halloween papers in it so I just took out a few I thought would look good for the image. I colored the image with copics. I added some Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to a few of the images. I cut out some candy corn and added to the corner of the image. I used Lil Inker stitch die.

This is my card using the image Christmas couple.. I colored the image with copics. I used a white gel pen to give the presents a little decoration interest. I added some Nuvo drops to her boot tassles. I Used Lil inker stitch die. I layered this onto a piece of green paper. I then used some Stampin Up silver cord and wrapped it around a few times and tied a know. I then added a silver gem that reminded me of a snowflake. I added Simon Says sentiment and cut it into a banner..

I am back with a fun card for Catch the bug - Oldie But Goode day

 

This is my card using an older image called Ladybug fairy which can be found in the Bugaboo store.  I chose a Stampin up background dp. I used My favorite things Hello die and used Tech. Tuesday sweet friend. I embossed the sweet friend. I then colored the image with copics. I added some white gel pen dots. I also used Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on the wings and socks.  I really wanted to keep this simple and let the image and red stand out.

It's Humor Wednesday at Catch the bug..

 

 

Tomorrow October 18th is World Menopause day. I thought this was the perfect image from Bugaboo Stella still hot  I know there are those to get hot flashes and this was perfect for my card. I again found the fun sentiment on the internet.  I used Stampin up designer paper and My favorite things die. I colored the image with copics. I then added Stampin up flowers and cut some leaves from paper ribbon. I added a bling to the flower center. I added Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to some of the image and Quick quote chalk ink around the sentient.

I thought this would be a great time to make a Halloween birthday card. I have the perfect image for that sassy lass.
I am having a blast lately using scraps to create backgrounds.. I haven't made a dent in the scraps but it's fun knowing they are being used and getting some fun backgrounds. I used Recollection scraps. I then used Spellbinder rectangle die to cut the image out. I also cut out some Newton's nook bats. The sentiment is from Paper pretties and Simon Says.. They are heat embossed. I colored the image with copics and used some Spectrum Noir sparkle pen. I went around the edges with Quick Quote chalk ink.  I know there are fall birthdays.. Mine is in Nov. So decided to make this a birthday card.

Welcome back to another challenge at Creations in Pink

I hope you are playing along and enjoying creating cards with lots of pink.. 

 

 

 

 For my card I found this old paper pad. I have no idea who it's by but it sure is pretty. I think it came in a SS monthly kit and they don't have cover pages. I chose the marble background and then chose two other papers and stamped the wood block red rubber Magenta stamp and fussy cut them out and layered. I have a box full of leaves so chose some and added them to the card. The dies are Stampin Up. I had a scrap of paper from the same pad and cut out the My favorite things Thanks and cut couple more times from black and layered them. I added everything to the base and then added some pearls and glossy accents to the dots on the petals.

our theme is MONOCHROMATIC

 

From that same box I used from a couple weeks ago. I found this lonely sticker set. I also had on my desk this scrap paper from Quick Quote with the whole already cut out.. I am sure it's My Favorite Things stitched circle die.. I added the blue paper to the card base and added Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the circle white area then added the snowman and the sentiment sticker.. Done.. Wow that was simple. Love the blue monochromatic feel.
