Well it's almost pumpkin time and so had to choose this cute little Gardening fairy using a pumpkin water container.. Little blue button has some cute images.. I added some nice flower designer papers from mme.. and some left over scraps just to give a little different look. Added my clouds and the sentiment right in the clouds. I like the bright fun look.

What's up? - New release Bugaboo / Catch the bug

Oh this is Tuesday so that means it's New Release day at Bugaboo / Catch the bug

 

 

 

 

The new release is Chibi Kitty.. cute with the butterfly on his nose.. I kept this one easy I did not want to make the image too small so it took up more of the card front that I thought it would.. so just used the basic gray dp behind and recollection brown behind it.. I just used my copic and went around the edge of the kitty image .. it looks like a layer but it's not..I rounded the corners and added a butterfly die from stampin up..

Catch the bug ABC - is Anything But a Card..

 

This is my ABC.. it's a advertisement magnet that comes on the front of phone books.. Well I never use those advertisements so figured lets make use of the magnet.. so I added some DP to the magnet front and then an orange piece then the image.. I might put this on the door as I walk out of my craft room to outside.. it's a metal door and we use it all the time.. or it could be used on the refer.. I don't know yet.. The image is Sketchy boy

OK where did September go???? I cant believe we are getting to the end of the month already..

 

Any how today is Friday and so it's Free Friday and we have Chubby ghost sucker image..at Catch the bug

 

 

Here is the little chubby ghost.. I was going to cut him out but having hand issues so it's really hard using scissors. I think it would of been presented better if I had and more of the spider web would of shown. Well anyhow I like the card and the spider web is a die from Taylored Expressions along with the spiders. I cut them out of vellum and used copics to color the back of the spider and it gives a great texture look. The sentiment is from the dcwv paper pad. I colored the image with copics.

Morgan's Art World #8 - ribbons

Another challenge at Morgan's Art World #8 challenge.. Use RIBBONS

 

 

The image I am using is Ballerina 4 from the shop

 I wanted to use the Ballerina 4 image and thought it would work well with the ribbons challenge. I was planning on using a sentiment but once I got done I did not want to include one so left it plain. Figure what ever you wrote in the inside would say enough.  I used two ribbons and taped to the back side then added the other ribbon around both and tied it then secured it with a brad. I just kept this really simple.   I hope I have inspired you to play along over at Morgan's Art World for the RIBBONS challenge.

Here is Mary boos candy image.. I always have so much fun coloring Lacy Sunshine images. They just come to life. I used some designer papers and a few dies and kept it simple. I like the cards not to be too thick because I send a lot of my cards in the mail this time of the year.

This is such a fun bright card. I really went all out on color.. I love the turquoise and purple on this card. I really made Santa lively..He is Santa on Skates.. I love this card. I used some awesome ribbon that I don't use enough. I used a snowflake embossing folder and then took white ink pad and lightly went over the flakes to make them pop. I kept this card simple.

I have this guy in my stash of Bugaboo images (I am on their design team) and I have been wanting to use him and I thought this guy called Mustache guy  and I thought he looked like the guy in Alice in wonderland so I kinda went with that for the sentiment and cut out a tea cup and put in his hand.. Any time is tea time.. He was fun to color up and use some masculine papers.

New release day at Catch the bug

Autumn Squirrel

 

 

Here's the little guy.. cute huh?  I know the squirrels here in Washington state are gray. I have seen brown in other states but ours are gray.. My friend Karen came over and she had the new acorn stamp and punch so I punched it out and added the sentiment from the same Stampin up set. I hope you get over to the Bugaboo store and see the wonderful digi's Jodie is drawing and pick up a few.

It's Friday and time for another Free Friday image from Bugaboo / Catch the bug

 

 

 

 

OH MY I can identify with Stella.. This is Stella work Monday...

I have actually gone to work with two different shoes on.. boy was that a long day.. another time I even went to work with my top wrong side out.. now that was easy to change but the shoes weren't.. I think we have all had a clothing issues one way or another. I Stella is having one of those days and I hope you head over and pick her up.. she is Free..

I also used a new die - the paper clips from MFT.. they look so real. I used a scrap of gold with white dots on it as it was a little heavier than regular cardstock. I used a punch from SU for the notebook top to the orange cardstock.

Catch the bug / Bugaboo and it's Tuesday so it's New Release day

Now look at the face on this cat.. I could think of all sorts of sentiment but chose to use Ho Ho Ho  - That Christmas feeling..  I used some awesome Christmas paper from DCWV and other than the ornament on the tail I kept with the back / white / red theme.  I used a santa hat sticker with a bling on the tip for the  "i " in Christmas... I had a fun time making this card. I hope it's an image you plan to pick up at the Bugaboo store..

AKV Baby Bunting is the Free Friday image.  I kinda kept it either sex with the blue/pink. I used a cute border of dp from DCWV and added a scallop edge using my SU punch. I hope you find time to pick up this darling. It will be around for a week.

Aud Sentiments challenge #140 - ANYTHING GOES PLUS A SENTIMENT

Great Impressions was founded in 1984 by Ken and Deone Mackenzie. With a love for stamping, the company grew. It was an exciting time traveling to art shows and introducing art rubber stamps to many customers who were stamping their very first stamp. By the mid 90's, Great Impressions was selling to retailers. In 1996, Great Impressions introduced the original Stamp of the Month program, bringing new designs and creating art boards each month for retailers across the country.

 

This is my card. I have used this sentiment before but I decided to make a different presentation. I used water color paper and white embossed the sentiment. Then I used three colors rangers inks and spritzed it with water and dipped my wc paper in it and dried and dipped again and dried.. till I got the effect I wanted and then I did not want to add too many layers since water color paper is so thick so I used my copic T10 and went around the edge to give a dark look and then layered it on a piece of green then the card base.. added a ribbon and sequins and then it's done.. Love water color paper and the effects you can get and it makes the sentiment look nice too.
