Free Friday at Catch the bug - Mildred round is a shape

This is the cute image called Mildred round is a shape... I also played along using circles on the card. Added some various sizes and colors. I also took some office supply hole enforcers and colored them with ranger ink then took various stamps and stamped over them to give a simple design. I also used a circle embossing folder.

Aud Sentiments #139 challenge - FALL FUN + SENTIMENT

This is my card for the FALL FUN + SENTIMENT challenge.. How I love fall and the colors of the leaves.. (not too excited about winter) It is still kinda warm and light out so its a nice change. I thought this little Autumn leaves image is so cute and the little butterfly holding onto the falling leave was a cute touch. I used 7 gypsies paper and just cut it up and added to another piece of 7 gypsies dark brown. I white embossed the sentiment which is from Tech. Tues.

Inspiration Destination #48 - Always anything goes

 I am using the image Psalm.. I love the praying hands. I really wanted to keep it pretty simple. I colored the image then added the PTI corner design.. See the cross.. WELL I had a smear of black ink on my finger when I did the upper left corner.. Darn it any how. I tried to scrape it off.. nope it looked scratched.. so I did a simple cross and khaki ink and cut it out and put it over the mark and sleeve. I think it was a good mistake. I wanted to keep the sentiment simple as the bible verse says it all so added the Faith - Hope - Love.. from PTI.. I'm liking..

I know it's kind a weird making a Christmas card using black and these flowers.. but it just spoke to me. LOL. I colored the flowers really softly and embossed the Merry Christmas and added some die cut butterflies.. I love this card and simple elegant look.

I hate messes and when I looked at my craft table I still had my dies, stamps, papers all over it from the last wedding cards I made for a co-worker.. well before I cleaned it up I decided to make one more card.. This is what I made. I kept it so simple. I didn't want to use a cream card behind the designer paper so I used some blush simon says ink and just went down the side so the base is cream color inside  and added this designer paper from My Minds Eye and stamped the sentiment from Simon Says and added some Simon Says hearts. The gray hearts I brushed with Wink of Stella.. I hope you can see the glitter to it. Soft but noticeable.  I am sure I can find someone to buy this card.

Now I have a nice clean desk so I can start my next project with a clear mind.. I'm just that way..

This is my card using the image Spunky scooter Lili by Inky Impressions.. I wanted her scootin through a field of flowers. She is embracing the day, it's her birthday.. This is my card using Gerda Steiner Watermelon kid.. Yummy huh?? I love watermelon and YuP I put salt on mine.. do you put salt on yours??

I thought this card needed some watermelon seeds so I used a leaf die from TE and then cut them off and added a little white ink to give a shine.. I used a QQ sticker summer sun.. summer sun summer fun eating watermelon and just having the juice run down your chin...

New release at Bugaboo called You light up my life

 

This is the cute image that is just being released. It has a blank box that goes under the light bulbs for a sentiment but I cut it off as I had this sentiment that I wanted to use in it's place.
I colored it quite simply with copics and added wink of stella to the bulbs and hearts but of course they are hard to see. The papers are from DCWV lemon flower. The sentiment is from Simon says.
There are so many nice sentiments that can go with the cute digi. Hope you head over to the store and see the new items.

Another wedding card.. Tying the knot

OK, if you read my blog Friday you saw that I was asked to make a wedding card by a co-worker who needs one for a wedding.. well she said she now needs another.. so sorta kept with the same concept and made another card but using different My Minds Eye dp pieces.. Same My Favorite Thing flower and leaf dies..and Simon Says stamp set.. So all is the same products just different look.. I love it and hope she does.. I may have to still play with these papers.. Hard to get into making cards on a work night.. and this weekend I was so busy with other projects that this was all I accomplished for wedding cards.

A co-worker asked me to make a wedding card for an upcoming wedding she is attending.. I grabbed my awesome Simon Says stamp set,  My Minds Eye dp and My Favorite Things dies.. and this is what I came up with.. I used a strip across the center seam of the two designer papers and I like the foil dots it has on it. The flower die is two sided the back side is foiled as you can see in the inside of the center part of the flower.. I wish the black would of stamped more solid.. I have used it before so was surprised it did not stamp more solid. It's home made and it does not look bad.. I love the look and I hope she likes it.. I may try another one over the weekend as it's that time of the year for weddings..

I am using the image called Christmas bird by Elaine Cox.. Is she not a beauty. I have this awesome holly die from Taylored Expressions and don't get to use it too often since it's a Christmas type of die so when I get the chance I jump for it.. and since she had some holly in her hair and this came as a circle image... figured it would be perfect.  I used SU papers. I used a Paper Trey sentiment and added some berry blings in her hair from Pazzaz aplenty.. I hope I have inspired you to play along with us at Aud Sentiments.. It's Fairies plus a sentiment.

I am the Guest Designer today at Crafting by designs..  and the theme is Lots of layers..

This is my card.. I made the water color background using Ranger inks and just swiped them on my craft sheet then spritzed with water and laid my wc paper in it.. dried the card and kept dabbing the wc paper till I got the effect I wanted...I love the summer warm feel of the background. I won this flower stamp from DRS so I chose to use it and stamped it in black and went different heights and used an old grass stamp I have to give a little movement below the flowers. I added the sentiment from Simon says and a butterfly die from Taylored expressions.. added some bling down the body. I layered the image and strip of green on a pink card base from bazzil.. wanted to tie the pink in the wc paper to the base and butterfly. I  tell you in real life this card is really awesome.. in my eye's that is.. lol.

 this is my card I made using the image Peace, Love and Coffee image.  I love coffee and really craved it while I was making my card. I used a lot of scraps for the design. I embossed the brown as it kind a looked like the cozies that go around the coffee cups. The red paper was just a cool paper I added some hearts coming out so it looks like steam but it's hearts..  I am using the image called A lap full of kittens.. I thought the sentiment went well but should of said friends... since more than one kitten.. I know I feel better when my 4 legged fur baby dog is with me.. he brings such comfort and sure these kittens are really getting a lot of lovin and she in turn is getting lots of lovin back..
