I am using a Lacy Sunshine image Wrazzy Dazzle button bug-bugamee image.. Isn't she just darling? I had fun coloring her up and putting little pink streaks in her hair. I love the boots and her little spotted wings. Those big eyes just draw you in,  I used some sparkle glitter on the sentiment I don't know if it shows up on the computer but it sure sparkles in real life. I added the stars and flowers/leaves just to give it more balance in the top corner, the designer paper has all that beautiful design work in the lower left corner.   Well I hope I have inspired you to play along. Happy Wednesday and the last day of the month.  We should start getting some nice warmer weather and less rain come may. For that saying "April showers brings May flowers" we should have a lot of beautiful flowers unless they drowned in the rain.. It was a very wet month but today is rather warm and lovin it..

Paper Makeup / has new challenge

Digi Makeover challenge #138 - For A Special Lady

 

This is the card I made using Moody for Holly image  but who said it has to be a Christmas card. It's all on how you color the image so this special lady is great for mothers day to that special lady that means a lot to you but maybe not your birth mother... It's really for any special lady.  I used a SU flower set doodle this and
sentiment from SU botanical. I cut a piece of black to pop the image. I colored the image so it looked more like pretty purple flowers in her hair (not holly)  I took some scraps of embroidery thread and ran it through some mate medium to stiffen it and laid it behind the black piece to give it some added texture. I lightly colored the flowers with copics and then did the image bright. I love how it came out. Hope it encourages you to play along.

Catch the bug ABC - #1 dad gift card envelope

Today is Monday and that means at Catch the bug /Bugaboo it's ABC / Anything But a Card

 

I used my envelope maker from SU and made an over size small but small gift card holder, this way you can include a small card or note in the envelope along with the gift card.

I had a lot of scraps on my desk so used the map and ruler as it was masculine looking then I had this wooden button and twine. The crinkle looking paper from DCWV was perfect too. I love the simple but masculine look and perfect for that dad.

Yeah it's the weekend. I am at a Church ladies retreat this weekend at Seaside Oregon. It's always a fun filled, emotional, spiritual lovely weekend. I always come home refreshed, renewed.

 

Today at Catch the bug we have a color challenge.

 

These are some of my favorite colors so this was quite easy. I had a bunch of small throw away scraps so I just cut strips and adhered them to a separate piece of paper and then trimmed it to the size I needed then added the top piece of designer paper from Cosmo Cricket. I used one of my favorite characters from Bugaboo..  Gus Consciousness  The sentiment is from Art Impressions and had to use it cause it just fit the image.

Paper Pretties #307 theme is Girly Girl 

 

This theme makes me sad as that is what I use to call my little 4 legged fur baby that passed away last October. I / we always called her Girly girl.

 

Any how this is the card I made with this theme. I used the fawn balloon girl and kept her pretty pastel. I had this card base that was already the green/purple/pink and blue so that was perfect girly girl colors. I made these little flowers with the su punch and then I take a ball stylist and make them cup flower shape and punched some leaves and added some viva pearl pen drops in the center. Pretty simple C&S card too. I don't know who the sentiment is by but thought it worked as it's not really a birthday card but a girl just holding a balloon.

Hello Friends... This is Tuesday which means a

I colored this friends with my Atyou Spica pens so it's quite sparkly and colorful. I thought the FRIEND couldn't be left alone (on my card) so I added forever and a little flower. Makes for a clean and simple card.

Well surprise surprise, I have joined another design team. I am the lucky new designer on Paper Makeup / Digi Makeover

I hope you will play along and that my cards each week inspires you to make your card and post it to the Paper Makeup challenge blog. New challenges are each Monday and a different theme each week.

 

This is the card I made using the digi image Sourpuss from digi makeover. He does not look happy, he looks like he needs someone there to cheer him up. I colored him with my copics and used the rain drops and a few added hearts (to show love) from MFT and embossed them with Zing embossing powder and a little glitter embossing powder to give a sparkle look. I used an oval spellbinder die and made a banner cut for the sentiment.

Saturday it's challenge time at Catch the bug and this Saturday is BINGO. Just choose the 3 choices in either the horizontal, diagonal or vertical row and make your card.

 

 I chose the 3 in the vertical (left) row. The polka dots, bugaboo image, die/punch.

I used the image kid pocket topper wavy hair girl. The papers are from EP/ hello spring, and a mft die, te die and su punch. Fun card to make. Choose a bingo row and play along.

I decided to make this baby a girl, I don't really think it matters as you can color the image any colors to make it boy or girl. I die cut some letter and added a ribbon and a cute cricket at the bottom to make this cute card.

It's hump day and today we have another challenge for Paper Pretties 307 - MASCULINE

I used SURF dude image. I cut away the wave and added this TE wave die behind it. I used the sentiment from the Skater Zeke PP stamp set.

Did the rays of sun from the PTI stamp set and my cloud template. Quite a simple masculine card.

Well it's another challenge at Catch the bug and the theme this week is SPRING TIME

I had to use Stella rainy days, I thought this sentiment she says is perfect. I am not a gardener but I do like to clean house vs. working in the yard. I am lucky that dear hubby likes to work in the yard and we have almost 8 acres and about 4 of those are workable. The pasture we have we let go and the neighbor cuts it at the end of the year for feed for his cows...

Any how for my card I used a flower background as I thought it reminded me of spring with it's pretty colors. I used the image Stella rainy days and I added the little tag at the corner and stamped happy spring from PTI. Added a few sequins to just give some interest. Hope this card inspires you to make a card for our challenge.

Well this week went fast. I was off Wednesday from work as Tuesday evening I turned in the kitchen and tripped over my dog landing my head into the corner of the cabinet over my stove. Dear hubby caught me as he was afraid I was going to pass out.. My dog's fine, he was just so concerned and came sat so close to me like he knew and he was sorry he was in the wrong place. My head has a nice knot and so sore. I did go to ER as I felt so weird and nauseous and Urgent care said they thought would be best. Well after a CT scan and nauseous meds, I have a mild concussion told to go home and take Wednesday off. Today I feel better the headaches are not as often.

 

Well this is the card I made using the new image from Catch the bug /Bugaboo JJ sewing needle  I am a quilter and so I have some different sentiments in reference to quilting/sewing so used one of them. This one is from cottage stamper. I used the paper pad from Cosmo Cricket material girl and then twine and a button. Hubby thought a bow needed to be in the top corner so I did.. I like it when he gives me suggestions.

Paper Pretties #305 - Punches / for my sweetheart

Hello bloggers, it's Wednesday and another challenge at Paper Pretties #305 - PUNCHES 

So I got out some punches I have not used for awhile and made a masculine birthday card. I used the stamp set Holiday Sweets and the cupcake had a heart on the top of the swirl but I did not ink that part. I love that you can alter the images that way.. I used the hole punch by MS. I only bought it for the holes so I could get some nice variations of holes for eyes, confetti and such.. so thought I would just use it as it was suppose to be used.. then I have an old fiskar swirl punch so used that and then I have a tag punch EK and because it was not long enough I just cut it in half and adhered to the side of the stamp image. The little brackets I just added them on top. So I used a lot of different punches. Lets see what you have..grab those punches and enter in the Paper Pretties #305 challenge.

It's humor me Wednesday over at Catch the bug... I chose GOLFERS DAY and made it a Fathers day card.  Using the image AKV men golfer   I never have been a golfer and never will be, but I tell you so many at my work, men and women love the sport. I just think it's crazy to chase that ball around. I don't mind playing golf on the WII.. LOL...

The sentiment is a stamp set from Kelly Perkey / SS called dude.. I added a strip of Washi tape down the side for some added color and used my cloud template to give some depth. Fun card and perfect for that father that loves to golf.

Catch the bug/Bugaboo has a new image... Turtle umbrella

With us in the Pacific northwest / Washington state we are still getting rain so I made this card with some rain drops.. yea they look like stars.. but it's my rain drops so I said it was OK.. it's a pick me up card.. For those blue days.  I used a star template I had and some paste to give the raised effect and then sprinkled glitter over it and let it dry. I like the look and in real life it looks really nice...

Well with Fathers day coming up in a few months, it's time to get some cards made. Again like the other card I posted yesterday I had scraps setting around so I just cut small strips and adhered them on a piece of scrap and then cut it down to this lovely colorful grouping. I think it makes for a great masculine card. I also used the recycled book making a flower which is always a good manly flower. I love using scraps vs. throwing them away. I seem to have a hard time throwing away scraps.. anyone else have that issue?

Catch the bug / Bugaboo we have Polka Bunny

 

I thought this little bunny needed to be a multi color bunny so that is why she has the spots. I couldn't find a background paper I liked so I took a bunch of scraps I was using for some scrapbook pages and cut strips and adhered them to a piece of paper at a diagonal. I am loving the look.  It really complements the image.. I embossed the sentiment and added sequins down the side.
